| Quite the chaotic first chapter with some nice twists in the middle regarding Asa's identity with batshit stuff happening right from the get-go. I'm not sure how I would feel about this for the long-run but it was by no means a mediocre, boring first chapter so it's nice to have Hiromu Arakawa back with a new manga (on top of Arslan Senki that's been quite forgettable tbh). I still can't get over Yuru at times looking like a male version of Riza Hawkeye, or maybe that's just the exhausted me talking here. Still, I like the artstyle as usual and it's pretty consistent with what I know of Arakawa's other works for sure. |
| As much as I love Arakawa's other works, I went into this manga without high expectations. so I'm surprised I got hooked this quickly. I don't think it will be as great as Fullmetal or Gin no Saji, but it got me interested faster than both of them. |

| Gotta love these "that escalated quickly 1st chapters". Would consider myself hooked. Now there's the question whether the next chapters can follow up. Being a monthly manga will surely make it harder to cement investment, but I will try to keep up with it, even reread previous chapters if necessary. |

| I have high hopes from this manga. The first chapter was amazing and also a bit confusing. And damn I didn't expect that many people to die! And I was definitely not expecting those helicopters and cellphones after reading the first few pages. I will definitely continue reading this. But it feels painful to wait a month for a chapter :p 4/5 starting. |

| I'd argue the pacing of a lot of first chapters is rockier than not, in most cases. The first chapter has a tall order of showing enough to hook people in, so they can't afford to take it too slowly right off the bat. Even FMA's first chapter was pretty loaded for its length. That being said, I think this is a fine first chapter, and the twist in the middle surprised me quite a bit. I'll be watching out for this one. |

| I was not having high hopes for this when the chapter began but it had me in the first half, ngl after the twist with Asa and then it went nutty and all over the place in a badass way. More fun reading this gas than Arslan Senki for a while. |

| Definitely thought it went a little too fast there, not with the twist but with who was who, the name reveal has no weight at all. It was set up well by confusing us as to who the black haired baby actually was but it's revealed too fast I think. My hope is that it is explained why the boy didn't know about Tsugai and all the pendant stuff earlier. But regardless, definitely intrigued by why only selective people know about outside technology, it feels very intentional. |

| I was thinking of reading it down after some decent amount of chapters, since it's one of those monthly ones but now when I did, it seems like too many things were poured into this very first chapter. Helicopters in a somewhat ancient setting did felt a bit out of place, but yeah too many things happening around have surely lessen that out of place factor a bit. Too early to comment anything on plot or even on characters, but the artstyle definitely matches with the author's previous works. So yeah let's see how well this goes. |

| That was a pretty good start. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of mystery unfolding and action. We might also see time travel and stuff here. Yuru is pretty likable so far and Asa might slowly fall into the dark side. Let's see how this one turns out.. |

| Really enjoyed this one. Arakawa's art work is as charming as ever, along with her story telling. This is definitely a strange fusion of magic meets technology, with demons mixed in. But I find myself hooked and excited for more. The twist with the twins is an interesting plot point, as some giant conspiracy is at play here. Right and Left are shaping up to be Yuru's daemons it seems. Overall, excited for more! |
| This was a really solid first chapter! The art is so easy to follow and is light on the eyes. Hiromu Sensei's next big work eh? Let's see how it is. |
