This is my first Yuri anime. I am a straight female that enjoys all kinds of romance. I've watched countless of romance animes and bl, but I always found it hard to get into Yuri because most of them were weird, like incest, hentai, etc. My friend told me about this anime and I was so surpised on how good it turned out. I'm still only on episode 6, but I've already scored it 8/10. If anyone has any more suggestions for shows like this, I'd like to know. |

Citrus. Absolutely gorgeous. More intense than this show, but slightly better in my opinion. They’re different kinds of shows, so it’s hard to compare them, but still. |

Adachi to Shinamura is a great Yuri also read the manga after the anime, it has some excellent stuff in it that the anime doesn't cover. |
Has a 8.60 mean score Akasaka > Other Mangakas |

Adachi to shimamaru is really good. Make sure to read the manga after the anime. The anime covers volumes 1-4 (and a bit of 5 I believe). I believe it concludes the story really well. |

this is arguably the best of the 4 true yuri adaptations. as others have mentioned theres this, citrus, adashima, and netsuzou trap (these are the “true” adaptations as they are full length series, not movies/ovas/onas,etc.). heres my personal opinions on them you started at a good place, biy is in my opinion the best yuri adaptation. the endings kinda abrupt, but its really good. would suggest the manga as well citrus is a litttleeee more extreme, theres some pseudo-incest. in my opinion its anime, so you should understand that you shouldnt do that in real life, and if you dont, you probably shouldnt be watching anime. if you dont want to watch it due to this, its fine, you do you. i actually love citrus, but the animes a slander to the manga. overuse of ok-ish cg, some of the questionable scenes are adapted to look even more questionable, in turn pushing even more people away, and the fact that this show adapts the worst volumes (theyre not bad, decent actually, but out of all of the volumes the worst). the anime adapted them badly. the first 4 volumes are actually decent, from then on it starts to lose its drama and becomes wholesome. id recommend the manga, probably not the anime (i read the manga after the anime due to me actually paying attention and seeing the underlying meanings and understanding that it is just anime). adachi to shimamura to me is decent. the anime is a very calm slice of life kinda yuri. to be honest nothing really happens. character buildup is incredibly important for a good story, so they could have been going for a steins gate-esk approach here. buttttt i doubt its gonna get a second season so in reality its just a chill cute yuri in my opinion. due to this its also really slow. i have absolutely no doubt in my mind that the lns are better. netsuzou trap. the abbreviation is literally ntr. no. just no. i will be the guy who says i think ntrs obviously bad, but interesting when done right/realistically (i loved kuzu no honkai). this show does not do that. they are 9 minute episodes with full ops and eds, so in reality, 5 minutes of content. SLIGHT SPOILERS. basically theres two couples. both girls do sexual stuff every episode basically. one of the guys knows and commits some domestic violence, other dudes a good guy and just suffers the whole time unknowingly. op songs good tho. for non full adaptations i hear asagao to kase san (as everyone else mentioned) is good. id encourage you to look for manga/lns as theres obviously not a lot of yuri adaptations due to it being a niche genre. |

I agree with you. Citrus was really brilliant, especially the ending had me on the edge of my seat. I don't know why it gets so much of unnecessary hate and absurd criticism, but for me it was a really delightful show. I would say Citrus is one of those anime, where how much you like the show may be directly proportional to how much of an attachment you've forged with the main girl by the end of the show. As for me I liked Yuzu Aihara a lot. |

I don't know personally about Citrus. I heard it's about sisters (which really doesn't bother me) and it has sexual assault in it. Also I don't think I'll watch netsuzou trap either. I've read a lot of things about it having rape in it and none of the characters being decent besides one of the guy characters, who ends up being cheated on anyways. I don't really want heavy action Yuri anyways because it doesn't appeal to me as a straight female. There's a couple I saw listed that i will give a try though. |

How are we defining 'yuri' ? It centres on a central premise of two females in love, certainly with enough intensity to be seen as 'girl love', the plot revolves around mylitple other couples etc. Seems pretty Yuri. I'm no expert so my apologies if shoujo ai(which I thougth was just a western fan term😅) is exempt from being seen as Yuri?😶😶 If your refering to the old fan meanings of the word then strawberry panic would count as both, it's not aimed at a kink but equally it has sexuallty, a little on screen and a whole lot implied, so I feel it more then qualified for either bracket😅, generally speaking people see it as a classic of the genre, so you have me a little confused. |

You explained it well.momentie said: kinusaka said: momentie said: kinusaka said: this is arguably the best of the 4 true yuri adaptations. as others have mentioned theres this, citrus, adashima, and netsuzou trap (these are the “true” adaptations as they are full length series, not movies/ovas/onas,etc.). heres my personal opinions on them you started at a good place, biy is in my opinion the best yuri adaptation. the endings kinda abrupt, but its really good. would suggest the manga as well citrus is a litttleeee more extreme, theres some pseudo-incest. in my opinion its anime, so you should understand that you shouldnt do that in real life, and if you dont, you probably shouldnt be watching anime. if you dont want to watch it due to this, its fine, you do you. i actually love citrus, but the animes a slander to the manga. overuse of ok-ish cg, some of the questionable scenes are adapted to look even more questionable, in turn pushing even more people away, and the fact that this show adapts the worst volumes (theyre not bad, decent actually, but out of all of the volumes the worst). the anime adapted them badly. the first 4 volumes are actually decent, from then on it starts to lose its drama and becomes wholesome. id recommend the manga, probably not the anime (i read the manga after the anime due to me actually paying attention and seeing the underlying meanings and understanding that it is just anime). adachi to shimamura to me is decent. the anime is a very calm slice of life kinda yuri. to be honest nothing really happens. character buildup is incredibly important for a good story, so they could have been going for a steins gate-esk approach here. buttttt i doubt its gonna get a second season so in reality its just a chill cute yuri in my opinion. due to this its also really slow. i have absolutely no doubt in my mind that the lns are better. netsuzou trap. the abbreviation is literally ntr. no. just no. i will be the guy who says i think ntrs obviously bad, but interesting when done right/realistically (i loved kuzu no honkai). this show does not do that. they are 9 minute episodes with full ops and eds, so in reality, 5 minutes of content. SLIGHT SPOILERS. basically theres two couples. both girls do sexual stuff every episode basically. one of the guys knows and commits some domestic violence, other dudes a good guy and just suffers the whole time unknowingly. op songs good tho. for non full adaptations i hear asagao to kase san (as everyone else mentioned) is good. id encourage you to look for manga/lns as theres obviously not a lot of yuri adaptations due to it being a niche genre. ....strawberry panic is a full adaptation lol... isnt strawberry panic more of a shoujo ai than a yuri? How are we defining 'yuri' ? It centres on a central premise of two females in love, the plot revolves around mylitple other couples etc. Seems pretty Yuri. I'm no expert so my apologies if shoujo ai is exempt from being seen as Yuri?😶😶 yuri is technically a romance between two girls (as you stated) but is focused towards the sexual side of things. not necessarily sex, but sexual feelings and thoughts as well. yuris typically have a good amount of focus on these sexual and physical relationships as well as the romantic ones. shoujos ais typically are more emotionally driven and more pure romance between the girls. this is more of a pure romance, where as yuri will typically delve into the sexual and physical things that are going on, shoujos ais specifically focus on the actual romance and not really that psychological/deeper side. |

Bloom is the best of the Yuri. I would suggest reading the manga too. There is more story there just not enough for a second season. |

He died doing what he wanted, no matter what, right? I bet he was happy. Good luck with berserk Kouji Mori, you'll need all the help you can get. We believe in you. |

They’re different kinds of shows, so it’s hard to compare them, but still. I love Mei. Her eyes kill me. It’s heartbreaking just to look at her sometimes. It’s a powerful anime. |

This is the first yuri anime where it wasn't so focused on sexualizing them as students. It's really refreshing and so far I like how their navigating these new emotions |
