Oh boy, Kazuya got dropped right into a fantasy world just like that.

Not going to lie but I can't stand some of those elders in charged of that kingdom. They seem to have good intentions though. There's not too much known yet about the core cast but Kazuya stands out a lot with his personality. Very glad to see Liscia animated and she's quite outspoken about her thoughts. Nice to also see Juna although I prefer her light novel design better.

Decent start!

The 1st non-sequel Isekai of the Summer season, and it brings about the Log Horizon values of economics and politics.

Kazuya Souma thought that he's being summoned to the fantasy world as a Hero to defeat the Demon Lord and its domain (pretty typical stuff), but that's not the case this time. Being shoved the job to be the stereotypical Hero that's not like what they're seeking of Kazuya, but one that is financially literate to help them solve their issues while brandishing the Hero name.

As if that's not enough, the King Albert dumping the throne over to Kazuya, and handing his daughter Liscia to him, well that's some fast hearsay amongst the vast kingdom. Unsurprisingly, Princess Liscia takes the issue seriously, and seeing Souma for herself, she can't believe all that's happening, much less the royalty engagement being forced on both of their throats.

Heh, Kazuya with Yu-Gi-Oh's Kaiba's stance of "Time is Money", now that is literate!

Still though, this is a good start to understand the world at large, and let the Principle of Economics play its course on the realist hero who is rebuilding a kingdom from scratch!

I was looking forward to this one since the light novel was really good the manga was also done pretty well tho nowhere near as good as the light novel.
Anyway what stood out is the fast character introductions this makes me worry that they are going the rush something that this story doesn't deserve since it will drastically reduce the quality of the story.
Let's hope it isn't the case.

I have to say i like Souma's voice, Leica's doesn't really suit her but i can live with it.
I do like that they gave some explanation which is good for the anime only watcher to get a good understanding of what is going on.
So far i have to say an ok start let's just hope they won't rush this anime if they don't it should turn out pretty good.

where is the plot?

"Okay, so, this dude is summoned to another world to save it."
"From monsters?"
"No, from mediocre management."
"But he struggles to live up to being a hero?"
"No, everybody is deferential to him from the start, worshipful even."
"But he solves some kind of problem through some kind of epiphany or insight?"
"Eventually, he might!"

That about sums up the episode. If there were any illusions about it being a harem show as well, the OP puts those firmly to rest. The real sin though is that it's just plain boring as absolute sin. The sole point of any drama at all is the one girl who's skeptical of him, but that's the whole conflict right there, and it's not addressed or resolved in any way. He's told there are geopolitical issues, sits down to do paperwork and at the end of the episode, is still doing paperwork. It's like that Futurama gag. "Press 1 if you would like to see Caluculon review his taxes." Except it's not a joke. It's the entire episode. He doesn't even show up the helpless idiot local savages this week. He just… learns that there are geopolitical issues that I guess we're told are pressing? But not, you know, imminently pressing. More like pressing some time eventually, after we finish auditing the paperwork a second time. What is the story here? Why should we care!?

Ah yes, how can a season be there without an Isekai. And, this season, there are fuck ton of them. One of them is finally here. Kazuya seems like a nice guy and he's been Isekai'd to this world where he's not there to save them from any danger but the danger of falling economy.

Definitely an interesting take on an Isekai. It's not your generic Isekai. Some fresh air in the genre of Isekai finally. I'm looking forward to this show. It could go any way either being a really good show or can go into the mediocre category. So far, so good. Decent start. The animation looks alright as well. OP is fine.

Well, let's just see how this goes.

A different take on the isekai genre is much welcomed, already read the light novels but it seems to be a decent rendition so far. Am I the only one who thinks the end scene where he's like time is money reminds me of LeLouch, with the shading the dodgy collar style? Just me? Lol EDIT: Kaiba from Yu-gi-oh, confused the names, thanks to @yuvensius for pointing that out!

Honestly, isekai's are fairly boring now, but some have taken a different path going as far as to changing expectations and this one follows them. Log horizon is also a notable isekai that doesn't really play into power fantasy, but economics, logistiics and the real world problems that are rarely shown and I honestly do enjoy these shows -maybe because of the slight bias I have studying economics but I digress.

The pacing was incredibly fast, stifling at points but for a pilot episode and knowing the light novels, the bit's they sped through were pretty much irrelevant, they only added to some world building, but that's shown through the visuals instead so no need for that. The problem then lies in the character introductions, we got introduced to like 8 important characters that from the anime itself we can see being intrinsic to the storyline - king queen daughter, the three generals the minister and the mysterious spy - all in the space of about 10 minutes which honestly was hard to follow but I pray that they slow it down in the following episodes or the nuance would be lost.

It's interesting to see the direction they'll take with this, and the comedy was used fairly well, and that one transition where they simultaneously panned in the 3d space and zoomed out was nice to see honestly, sometimes those types of scenes can feel nauseating but I quite enjoyed it like in Danganronpa it felt quite bad where they were around the table but I feel like short uses of things like they did was nice. The sarcasm and the brashness of the mc is quite enjoyable too, with the princess being slightly spoilt yet humbled at the same time, evident by how their seiyuu's are getting the characters across. Also that end scene alluding to the title, quite cheeky may I add!

Fingers crossed this does well with its runtime!

A brand new isekai journey begins, I'm already liking our lead Souma. He's definitely got a good head on his shoulders. Not a bland isekai protagonist who's just going along with whatever happens. But one whom takes actions into his own hands trying to save his skin first. Don't think I've ever seen an isekai where they try to sell the summoned hero off to pay debts instead of getting him to fight or something. That's a new one tbh, but gladly Souma figures out how to stop being sold off. He's definitely quick thinking to convince the king to let him help out with their financial situation. Spending those few days they talked planning new policies that can turn things around rather quickly. The abdication by the king is another surprise, an isekai king relinquishing the throne because he recognizes how the hero is simply better at caring for a nation than himself. Souma being very surprised and reluctant to take on the responsibility of running a whole nation. That's another new one, even betrothed his daughter to the hero. Which I'm glad they didn't force on her but let Riscia choose for herself. Souma selling off the kingdoms jewels was another moment that showed how smart he actually is. The country doesn't need jewels that they can't eat. A very interesting start to an isekai, excited to see where it goes.

1st half of the episode is typical isekai stuff, poor Kazuya got the short end of the stick in the genre getting summoned as life before was doing okay

So will the running gag of this show be him doing paperwork again and again? Hopefully not

The way they changing the nation by using economics and management reform reminded me somewhat of Maoyuu Maou Yuusha. The MC, Liscia Elfrieden, also looks like Sento Isuzu as well. lol

WTF with that lame King??? No wonder why this nation stuck and got many problems like that.
The concept of using economic development instead of military forces to strengthen the nation is very interesting.

Honestly, that's a pretty good start to the world and settings introduction. Not the best, but also not the worst I have seen so far.
Although, if I remember correctly shouldn't the office room Souma in crowded with a lot of office workers rather than empty?

If I'm allowed to go off topic, I also hope we can get 'Isekai Kenkokuki' and 'Wortenia Senki' anime adaptation in the future with this anime adaptation as a starting point.
And this is just my opinion, but I really think that Wortenia Senki world settings and story progression are far more interesting and better than what you can get in Realist hero.

Not a bad start, bit too jumpy and info dumpy though, but it might of been a better than alternative but still not the greatest idea to get it all out of the way. And didn't expect to see Roroa in the first episode though, or the Euphoria sisters. Still too early to give a full look on the series but seems like it could do the LN good and be fun.

But whoever's idea it was to do a Yu-gi-oh animation style reference, please stay with this series, that was just fun.

The harem anime I've been waiting for has finally begun and we are off to a good start. Right off the bat Souma was engaged with the princess and became the king. From here on out his harem will definitely keep growing. Also we'll get kingdom rebuilding stuff to boot, so that's a nice plus.

Decent start overall, I liked the premise. So looking forward to seeing Souma's harem grow.

Getting summoned from the library remains me of Sheild Hero.

Selling off a Hero you summon is an interesting way to pay off your debt. Kazuya did everything to prevent that at the cost of becoming the new King. It will be fun to see how this goes since it different from your typical Isekai where the hero gets summoned to defeat the Demon Lord.

Honestly loved the new approach to being a hero in an isekai. The mc seems smart asf, not TOO smart where he takes advantage of ppl, but smart enough to deal with the chaos. Cant wait to see how the story develops!

New anime season, new B-rated isekai anime.

Random ass 18 year old (no background given) gets summoned in another world, and turns around the country's finances in few months. I just don't get how some random teenager can look at financial documents and make savvy business decisions. Either this boy was a hidden genius back home or the world he was summoned in is filled with idiots.

Saving grace is that the VA lineup is good. And the Yu-Gi-Oh reference gave me a chuckle.

A couple characters shown in the first episode don't even make an introduction until volume 3.

The most I can say is that it wasn't that bad. Kind of like isekai cheat magician + that one with the sorcerer woman last season. The MC/king seems to be politically aware of how to fix the country on a liberal level. He is more interested in utilitarianism than caring about his subjects.

YES!

This is pretty much everything I hoped it would be. Am a little disappointed with the character designs, but the voices are a great fit and it makes the same things entertaining as is in the LN. There is plenty of cut content since it's a heavy worded novel, but that is to be expected so I don't particularly mind. Just want it to be as entertaining as the source material, and I think it did a more than good enough job. Nice direction too, all around good episode.

the animation is good for an anime that is mostly talking . 180 shots , good horse animation , finally a non CG whatever-the-fuck-that-was-in-the-sea , etc. etc.
you would expect something like this to only have mouth flaps with just boring pans , but props JC staff...

and i really hope they dont expect us to remember all those 20 something countries and their rulers they just namedropped right in the 1st ep . i am seeing more and more anime do this nowayadays and honestly its a pain in the ass.......
an its even more annoying when they all have names that are Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

an interesting plot , although the setting couldnt have been any more generic .

''Time is money'' - Kazuya

Decent start I guess, art style is quite nice and the characters are plain but interesting. A new isekai, which focuses on political matters (probably also a harem xD).
Animation is good but damn they used a lot of 180 shots.

Nice opening.

Pretty decent first episode. Not bad art, not lame protagonist and not annoying first (main?) girl. For a harem that's a great start.

Despite an interesting setting, I'm not having big hopes for this anime. Being a 13 episode thing, it reeks of LN promotion, especially if the story is supposed to be somewhat involved with economy, politics etc.

I'm really liking the new take on the isekai genre. It almost seems like a satire of the whole heroism aspect/concept that is so central in majority of isekai's.

I started reading the manga after seeing an announcement teaser for this anime, and honestly I really liked it, the first episode was pretty neat imo, solid presentation overall the colors are vibrant, the animation feels smooth, and the voice acting performance is well done the concept itself is pretty interesting and since I sorta know what is to come, I do look forward to the next episode eagerly!

Story is shit. It's hard to believe that some 18 year old guy is more clever than the whole government of the kingdom. I mean, sure, I can somewhat believe that. If only he had some justified background. But we literally got nothing aside from some obvious words from his grandfather.

The whole plot has potential but looking at the first ep I doubt it'll meet expectations.

Love the concept. The story seems decent, but it was rushed as hell. I thought Souma got the crown way too easily. For a "realist" take, that felt so forced and weird that it took me out for the rest of the episode.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! reference is pretty legit, though. Not just the art style and mimicking a card activation, he accurately compared his response as a "chain" to Liscia's. The term "chain" is rarely referenced in any of the YGO anime, too.

Definitely going to keep watching.
