----------------------------------------
With 1 minute to go, and losing 40-35, the Noukin team must put both their offensive and defensive on the aggressive against the agile Sakura and his Saitama Kouyou teammates. ONE WRONG MOVE and the entire team loses regardless of how many turns they could get and protectively muster respectively for a comeback.

Kyohei, you FINALLY had your breakthrough as an Anti to stop the ace Sakura, and earn a much-needed point for the team, the score's 40-38 with 15 seconds to spare. Yoigoshi's last Raider chance for "The Beast of Noukin" to break the losing streak with Iura's strategy of a "Back" to destroy the Saitama Kouyou team's teamwork without Sakura. Hiro and the other guys tried their best, but the former soccer player will find ways to make it through by putting all that experience to gain...BY A HAIR'S BREADTH.

Yoigoshi scoring a "Lona" together with his Raiding touches, that's easily the best win that he has ever done as a Raider, for the Noukin team. Sakura, Hiro and the Saitama Kouyou guys, you did well.

And that's it for the Kabaddi journey! A good show for promoting Kabaddi though, everything else is on the high descent.

Well, our boys managed to defeat the other team, and surprisingly this time around, they were much better than the last time where not a piece of teamwork can be seen. But, this time everyone did their part and played the game like a team and won even without our captain.

Crazy to think that they still haven't explained all the rules of the game yet and still explaining them in the last episode of the first season. And, our team got to learn more stuff about Kabaddi and how strong players can be outside. We also saw some foreshadowing of some amazing players who we might see in the future.

Well, not entirely mind blown by the show but it's their first time trying with an unknown sport, unknown to most of the audience. So, all I can say is that they tried and managed to do a fine adaptation. Still have complaints about many things in the show. But, it's alright. Maybe we'll see more of this show in the future, maybe a 2nd season or so, and who knows people might actually be curious about this sport now that they finally know about this.

I really want a sequel! Though I've to accept that the chance is very slim to almost zero. I want it to be more and more popular until the point where there are full of Kabaddi doujinshi.

Well, the boys won. A pretty nice and deserved victory for them.

Overall, I think the show is good but could've been way better. Better production and more dynamic animation during the matches would've probably elevated the enjoyment of the show and made it way better but in the end we got what we got. Still a fun ride.

WEEEEW THAT WAS INTENSE.

kyoeei stopping sakura was great, its 1 am and i almost woke up my sister from getting too excited. hiro trying to stop yoigoshi was also really cool, yoigoshi being the mc ofc won but man that was good. all these defenders are sick

yoigoshi winning with the literal TIP of his fingers MY MANN!!!!!

and thats it for this show. this series at least, i hope. not like this show is amazing, its pretty decent honestly but ive grown quiet fond of the cast, will definitely miss them. if we do get a 2nd season i really hope the animation can be better, just a little more fluid

Yoigoshi scored a Lona and won the match with 44-40 score, congrats!
I really loved every character, the animation was alright. The OST and OP were amazing.
They put more effort in the last episode and the only thing you can say is ''well done!''
This was a really enjoyable anime. Sakura was a really goat too..

Haha of course they had to win during the last second xD well the match was quite tense and I'm happy that they finally managed to win a match!
I would say it was sure very cliché and shounenish overall especially for the characters but at least it was about such an unknown sports and I really liked learning the rules and seeing more about it, it's not a bad sports actually xD

Yeah, aside from the episode count, these were the aspects that held the anime back from being top tier.

Same as you, I thought that it was nonetheless pretty entertaining for what it was. Far more up my alley than these original sports series as of late. Kabaddi seems like a fun sport and these first episodes introduced many promising characters. Definitely gonna check out the manga in the future if there are scanlations available.

It was a fun series at start but it got boring later on for me. The animation was bad. It was a little worse than an average show I guess.

I hadn't even heard of kabbadi before this show, so it was nice to learn about a new sport and see how it's played. The boys narrowly won in the end which was exciting to see. Congrats to them as they continue to grow and improve at the game.

This show didn't really do anything revolutionary and it was clearly more of an introduction to the story, the sport, and the characters, but it was still a decent show overall. I just wish the animation during the kabbadi scenes was better, it felt more like a slideshow which took a bit of the hype away sometimes. If those scenes had more fluid animation, that would have made things much better.

This show really became my comfort show so quickly and didn't let go until the end. There's nothing too deep about it and i guess the animation is nothing special (i didn't notice it being bad or anything; at least they didnt try cgi) but i had a great time with this show. the characters were fun and some of them even got some development which is nice. Praying for a season 2 because i want to see where they all go from here! 8/10

Damn, so it did end up going to the very last minute and Yoigoshi's finally tasted victory in Kabaddi. But Misumi's struggle impressed me more lol, we'd been getting hints from all that buildup for a while now.

It's really good that they managed to turn the tides without their captain in field though, I suppose that's the biggest take-away from the match.

Yoigoshi the second junior to take down the captain of the opponent team, oh how very interesting. I'm kind of sad that Azemichi didn't manage to do much in this match as well but hopefully, the results will follow from next time onwards.

All in all, the series started off a fairly entertaining-ish note but kind of lost that momentum from there on except for a couple of special moments. Animation quality, certainly wasn't ideal for the show so it's a pity because it could've been much better, I reckon. Op with the Kabaddi chant was iconic though, going to miss that a bit for sure.

Going to settle with a strong 6/10 for this.

This match was literally fire. I'm very glad Noukin won. Yoigoshi's growth is remarkable.
Overall, this is unexpected hidden gem. Animation is only flaw. Otherwise is awesome. Not best sports show but I enjoyed content so much. KABADDI!

The last episode really had me hyped. The match was so intense. Our boys from Noukin won the match without Captain Ojo Masato at the last moment. Yoigoshi was naturally the MVP for his team. Misumi's charcater also got some good spotlight for tackling Sakura.
I think the next season will feature the Japan tournament arc which will be awesome since international team players will also be there. Looking forward to the next season!
This is a pretty good short sports anime. It's a 7/10 for me. If they improve their animation I think it'll get it on par with some other sports anime. Really enjoyed it!

That was a pretty hype ending! Glad Misumi was able to stop Sakura even if it wasn't fully by himself. That was a great moment, everyone coming after Sakura with that banger soundtrack playing. That one "struggle!" near the beginning of the episode though lmao. Yoigoshi getting the clean sweep and getting a lona to end the match, what a beast. I hope we get a season 2 so we can find out who that junior Hiro is referring to. 7/10

This anime was very special to me this season. It didn't do anything revolutionary or have stunning animation, but I just ended up getting caught. I liked all the characters, I loved their personalities and interactions, they were really fun.

This last chapter could not take my eyes off the screen, for a practice match the emotion it made me feel was comparable to the one I felt in important arcs of other animes. I watched the episode at dawn and had to put up with my scream of excitement when Yoigoshi managed to get those last points.

I do not know why I ended up watching this, its description did not attract my attention at all. And yet each week was one of the series that I looked forward to more, even more than other popular anime. I hope they give it a second season, they have left me very excited about the tournament they mentioned.
Honestly, when I read what the sport was about, I couldn't help but laugh, kabaddi is not something minimally known in my country so I found it hilarious. But after watching this anime I am very interested in knowing more about it.

I don't speak English so sorry for the mistakes.

yes animation was a problem
but hopefull that if it ever get a second season they would improve it more from feedbacks
critically 7.5/10
but i will rate it 10/20 cuz its a sport of our country and rather a emotional attachment to it

If yall love good character development & sports & seemingly don’t even care for the animation, you would love Ahiru no Sora. This was a little too sports-focused for me, every episode was typically the same with nothing else to offer tho it did have its good moments. I get that they were trying to explain the game & all but match that with lackluster (or rather, lack of) animation, it got dry so quickly. Also the character-driven narrative in this anime is very weak. Which is a shame, I loved the characters! Especially Yoigoshi. With only 1-cour tho I think they did the best they could. He feels really underdeveloped tho, for a main character. Have to definitely get into the manga, damn that tease of the other player that Saitou Souma’s character was talking about was too much!!!!

Weak ending. It literally ended with, Kabaddi is fun huh Yoigoshi & a vague shot of Japan No.1 lolllllol. Talk about lazy. Why did they end it like that..........it felt like they just threw the entire anime into a puddle of rainwater & stepped all over it. That was disappointing.

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

It is really great sports anime. Not only is it about a niche sport like kabaddi, but both art and animation are well done. Even story is well made and every character are given enough development (unlike the trashy volleyball anime i watched previously)

It kind of remind me of all out (another great sports anime) is some ways.

Over I really enjoyed it. But 12 episodes are not enough i wish there was more.

Yoigoshi went and did it for the Noukin boys. Nice going, Yoigoshi. It was an intense match for no reason at all, since it was a practice match afterall, but at least we got to see some new type of moves that Yoigoshi is gonna be learning. Next up a tournament, if a season 2 is announced, of course.

Probably the worst sports show I saw in terms of animation. 6/10. Could have been a 7 or 8.

This is what i'd like to call, a breath of fresh air. Sports anime have been around for a damn long time now, but we didnt't have an anime exclusively about Kabaddi like this one!

The game mechanics were really interesting, they explained everything quite well throughout the show and was really easy for us viewers to follow and enjoy it. Sad that it was only 12 episodes, went by so quickly, because sports anime need way more than just that. Animation wasn't that amazing, but it was kinda bearable.

7/10, i liked it, wouldn't mind more tbh

Noukin won, I kinda wanted Kouyou to win cuz that would've been realistic. Kouyou seemed really dependent on Sakura, so I wanted to see the other members be able to do something without Sakura. Well, it's Noukin focused so I guess they had to lose.

Kyouhei finally showed it. Even though it started with Yoigoshi, but those flashbacks and backstory of Kyouhei was nicely executed so I could feel the character development he had.

The other new members had really less screen time which made it look like they are just there for them to be able to participate in the competition. It would be good if it receives a 2nd season so that they can show the athletic development of the other three members.

Sakura with that one ghoul eye matched the most XD

I decided to watch it because it's Kabaddi, a South Asian sport. It wasn't bad. It was enjoyable though the repetitive exaggeration whenever they were playing gradually made it boring. Also whenever someone was raiding, I know they had to show the player's point of view but I wish they showed the outer view too than just zooming so much on the raider and the one he's specifically focusing on, it made it look like other players don't exist until they popped up out of nowhere. The animation was good, the comedy was ok and the OST was really good.

Overall 7/10

The anime was good, some character development was unexpectedly decent, and the comedy is the best. However, since the new team members were introduced, the anime went downhill a bit. They appeared the anime too late and except for Ban, they didn't show their past! They should have been introduced earlier or 1 episode more with them could be much better. Another problem I have was the last antagonistic team, I don't know, I felt annoyed by them unlike the first one. Sakura is a horrible character and I didn't like how he could score several points in a forced way just to make the match longer, especially when the rest of his teammates were practically useless and he did everything.

However, the anime in general is OK. I quite liked the focus on Misumi and that made the last episodes tolerable. 6/10 for the anime.

Cutting it real close with 15 secs left but unstoppable ex-streamer Yoigoshi managed to do it.
Enjoyable series, I wish it had higher animation quality to it to better showcase the interesting Kabaddi sport as I'm sure it would've attracted more viewers.

ok yes, I completed the show and loved it. I really started hyping from episode 5th and I really don't care about the low ratings bcz ik people are only simping on overhyped aot episodes, just let it be. I really want a season 2 and i'm waiting for it. Animation was ok idm much about that because I'm a lovely complex core stan and animation doesn't mean much to me as long as story/plot/characters are good hehe.

I am rewatching this anime for the third time idk I just like it a lot lmao. The characters and plot are fun and it doesn't try too hard. It is also interesting learning about a sport that I had no idea existed before this series. I enjoy the comedy a lot as well and found myself cracking up mutiple times. While most of the characters I like, Ojo is by far my favorite...his switch off and on personality is so crazy.

The only thing that I don't like is the anime was just too short and the ending too abrupt especially after barely introducing all these new characters. I really want another season but it probably won't happen. 😭
