THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- They're really expecting a lot out of Sei for her abilities. Yuri seems to have a keen eye on her about her potential. At least, she has strong support from her friend Albert. And tbh, she really shouldn't be judged so much about her magical skills but more as a person. I guess not every character in this show sees it that way. |

Well, the inevitable has come: Sei's "saintly" OP magic has to be evaluated and appraised. Sei's clarification with Director Johan clears some things up if she was to be confirmed as the Saint, because it concerns her future in another world, along with the other girl Aira who got summoned together as well with differing abilities. More handsome and gorgeous Bishounen in the Royal Magi Assembly, and Great Mage Yuri Drewes is but one of them, and it's an Appraisal that has everyone in awe of Sei's power that surpasses Yuri's. An invitation to the kingdom courts from Hawke's father (King Siegfried), and what a royal treatment for Sei, even down towards Hawke being her personal escort in-arms. The apology that came in one too late for Sei from the King and his subjects from the very first day she was Summoned, and the gift that HAS to be given (because of royalty hierarchy), Sei has chosen to advance her magic potion making. The battle brewing between Aira and Sei, two factions of who's the true Saint from Kyle and the kingdom's perspectives. Intriguing to say the least. |

As expected from the previous episode, Sei's healing the patients' news spread like wildfire and she has already been called for appraisal by Grand Magus, Yuri Drewes. He instantly found out that Sei is not an ordinary girl. She even has greater power than Yuri himself. Sei looked gorgeous in her outfit. Also, Hawke and Sei are getting closer and closer with each episode which is pretty sweet. Sei wants to improve her magic even tho she's much stronger than anyone out there so she asked for books from the forbidden collection. Sei is a nerd... confirmed. Well, she enjoys it. That's all that matters. |

Sei is so fucking cute omg https://imgur.com/a/LwVieo0 Such a cool episode. Sei’s so OP that she can’t even be appraised. We knew her healing the soldiers would lead to the kingdom raising questions and thinking she was the saint, but didn’t think it would be so quick. She’s really grown to love this world, its people and her work and I’m so happy for her. Will be interesting to see what she finds in the forbidden collection. As for the false Saint, looks like other people want her to be the saint more than she wants to be the saint. Using her as a puppet essentially. Looking forward to seeing that play out |

Wow he powers are even better than that Yuri guy, and he thinks that she's the saint, well that not surprising, and now she'll have access to the private library and learning magic with Yuri even though he's weaker xDD, red hair guy is annoying though he really wants to other girl to be the saint |

Conspiracy theory- Sei is just Ichika from Koi to Yobu isekai'd? Jokes aside is sei delusional? 5 episodes to realise she's part of a josei anime, goddamn. Anyway I don't understand why she cant just refuse to fight, like other isekai's but that aside, it was a decent episode, with sei finally realising how omnipotent her saint powers were - great joke IK |

After the flashy healing last ep it makes sense that Sei will be summoned for appraisal. The magus was younger than i expected. The results of that was surprising to say the least. When compared both Aira and Sei have remarkable abilities. The apology's one that was a long time coming but while it was nice the king shouldn't be the one having to apologise for the lout his son is. Poor Aira trapped in the princes ambitions. Overall a fun ep that served to build upon last weeks attention by giving Sei the formal apology that she so deserved as well as laying the first steps of her rise in status within the kingdom. The only wildcard here though is what the prince intends to do. |

This anime just hasn’t been what I was hoping for! When they introduced a pretty nuanced setting and an older, nerdy main character, I thought we were in for an information-heavy world development isekai with some romance on the side. Instead, her nerdiness is just there as a plot device to explain progression, and her progression is only there to put her in good stead with some hot dudes. Granted, I’d continue watching it - I got the feel wrong, but don’t dislike the idea - if not for the fact that even after disregarding realism and action, it still fails. This show is a trope basket. Generic dudes in a generic European kingdom who hang on the MCs every generic word; romance can be beautiful, but ‘a bunch of strong guys make advances on a blushing girl too awkward to say anything to them’ isn’t romance. I gave up on that isekai trope long ago; whether male or female, it’s tedious. Anyway, no hate to y’all who are enjoying this. It’s certainly a mood, and I can see why some might find it relaxing. I’m just tossing my thoughts on the internet because I’m disappointed that it isn’t what I thought it’d be, as is tradition. |

Finally Yuri made an appearance!! ~ I've been waiting for him. Looks like Kyle doesn't really like Sei because everyone in the castle are more on Sei's side and Sei's abilities is way better than Aira. Anyway, the moment when Albert touched Sei's cheek and then smiling is adorable. He is so... handsome. lol. Sei in that white dress is so beautiful too. |

Criticiza said: Anyway I don't understand why she cant just refuse to fight, like other isekai's but that aside, that might be more in line with her values and expectations of her placed on her from others and herself more then as in it not being physical possible, just that the option does not register as an option in her mind(given how the aftermath from the fighting looks like and how she could be able to save someone if she goes with them to fight) Shingster said: After the flashy healing last ep it makes sense that Sei will be summoned for appraisal. but the appraisal was supposed to happen right after they where summoned but the grand magus went into a coma and he was the only one with a chance to appraise the saint, he just woke up just now so the healing of the soldiers has nothing to do with it. snowyberries said: Looks like Kyle doesn't really like Sei because everyone in the castle are more on Sei's side and Sei's abilities is way better than Aira. or the fact that Sei might be the end of life as he knows it given how he ignored her, his actions would spell the doom of himself if Sei turns out to be the saint, might be the reason he dont like her as she has the power over his life(because of his own actions) |

Ah ok. I was under the impression that the flashy healing was what caused the king to take notice and thus the appraisal. My bad |

Sei has more magic power than the Grand Magus, cause appraisal didn't work on her. That's saying something. You start to wonder what the other girl that got summoned it doing, that's what I thought and well, near the end we were able to see her again. I wonder if she's going to appear more from now on. That King's son is still working a bit on my nerves. So Yuri will be Sei's tutor for magic. I believe there's a win for both of them here, I bet Yuri will learn a lot from Sei and her saint abilities. Sei looked really good in that new outfit!! |

I mean, it's not ruining the show for me or anything, it's just... really odd how much focus they put on her lips... It's diomedea... They like girls |

Nice episode again. So Sei's powers are even higher that the grand magus of the kingdom, I suppose that's expected since the title of the show is "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent" Sei is too cute, her blushing was adorable and her smiles are always so wholesome. The scene with Hawke was great. Pretty typical of her to not really want anything but eventually she realized that she might be able to get a tutor and access to the forbidden section of the library. Why is the Prince so against Sei? Doesn't make sense, he doesn't even know her. Is it just pride for having chosen Aira? |

Wen_tnuocca said: What a slow start. I hope things get going soon Well, I actually like (most) shows with slower pacing. Seijo took a whole month of runtime just to get to the point where Sei goes public about actually being the saint. This is significant, due to the fact that she definitely didn't want to give up her leisurely life where she spent her days doing what she was passionate about/wanted and being around all of the hot guys. Shes slowly getting back (and maybe exceeding) to the responsibly level as a salarywomen in Tokyo, which I'm SURE she does not miss one bit if you know about the work culture there. It seems like no matter how OP she is, conflicts are coming up to destroy daydream land that she's in right now. Her personal conflict, the Conflict between the king in the prince on who is the real saint and external forces (another kingdom) encroaching on them because of the lack of monsters on the Perimeter. Overall, this show is basically the Shojo version of an Isekai, primarily for young adult women. I'm not in that demographic and this show def isn't for me but I'm gonna finish it anyway given that the OP is bumps, the art is REALLY good, Sei is a good character and it doesn't hurt to have some variety on my MAL list even if this isn't my fav show. Looking forward to next week. |

What I was trying to get across was that, given all this, the show thus far has had a more lackadaisical, slice of life feel, which felt counter to its apparent, some what complex, intertwining power struggles and love interests. I just worry, especially with some of the happenings during the winter season, that the slow pace could lead to a rushed ending.Wen_tnuocca said: What a slow start. I feel like the ending of this season however won't be rushed tho, given that this def feels like a multi seasonal narrative even if it doesn't get more seasons. Its probably not gonna pull a Horimiya type situation which had fast pacing from the start. Akame was a slow that spead up toward the end but I feel like that was because the Japanese audience just didn't like Akame where Seijo at least in Japan has a audience like Wokatoi. |

Great episode! Well that explains why they had to wait for Yuri to wake up to appraise them, since he's the only one that has a chance to be more powerful than a saint to appraise them, but sucks for ya'll Sei is way more powerful lmao. Yes Sei, you are indeed surrounded by gorgeous individuals, but you're gorgeous yourself. Her interaction with Albert was pretty cute, didn't expect Albert and Erhart to be brothers though. I feel really bad for Aira, she really looks like she don't wanna be there at all. At least Sei has eventually come to love her life in that world, though if she's really the saint that might change. Really looking forward to the next episode. |

Still can't get over the fact that Yuri is prettier than literally every woman we've seen so far. I thought Aira might've been the usual "horrible heroine" type but she genuinely seems like somebody who was swept away by the tide. It's not like you can do anything when the country's crown prince is always t your side and dictating what you need to do. |

This show is quite charming, I really did not expect to enjoy it but every episode is growing on me. Sei is too OP, as like how most isekai protagonists are; but looking past that the show is still enjoyable. At least she does have more of a personality than the otome-game adapted characters. Also, the art is so pretty! I'm convinced it looks more polished than Reincarnated as the Villainous which is a good sign of female isekais. I wonder whether Aira will be posed as some sort of antagonist in the future, primarily out of jealousy as she's definitely not the one with the strong powers. |

Interesting name there, Yuri, hmm... Bishounen... hmm... ___ ___ ___ Sei's power too strong. and it's interesting that in this world, appraisal is limited by power rank... only higher power can apprise lower power and not vise-versa. And looks like the other "saint" is studying at the Academy to learn how to fight monsters. Tho by the looks of it, she doesn't want to be learning at the Academy... man that prince is annoying. ___ ___ ___ LOL @ the forced makeover... tho... she didn't really change much, probably cause the magic of anime wasn't strong enough for the power of make up. If anything, it seems they add more streaks of bright lines to her hair to make it look more shiny. Meanwhile, the knight is gather points yet again... ___ ___ ___ The king got lucky, Sei wanted to learn magic, which was pretty much what he was going to ask her anyways, so she can be ready for future combat. Only except the King literally had Sei's teacher be the Grand Mage, LOL But that was pretty much expected, since the King literally wants to give Sei the best of everything as compensation for his crap son's deed in the beginning. |

Sei reluctantly gains a harem consisting of a knight, the knight's brother, the knight's friend/her boss and now teacher. Siegfried looks to be a chill king, the entire court apologised to Sei for Kyle's rudeness. Continue to work at the institute is what I thought Sei's request would be. The other girl that was summoned, Aria, though still having less magic power than Sei . The kingdom still considers her "special" as she allegedly can develop her powers faster than Sei can. Perhaps there will be a Knight-Saint pair rivalry of Albert-Sei vs Kyle-Aira, after all Makes sense that Yuri Drewes is the teacher; who else in the kingdom could handle Sei's magic but the Grand Magus? |
