| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I find Emilico's personality quite fascinating in this show. She has the personality of what you'd expect from a cheerful kid, and one that loves to make friends. It's nothing really unique but still fascinating to observe. I bet the VA had fun playing her character with the small amounts of singing. Emilico and Kate's relationship also continues to draw me into this show. |

| I’m hoping Cloverworks take their time with this adaptation though i haven’t read the manga, but i’m cautious after some of their recent adaptations. Seems more mysteries are piling up while we get introduced to the main dolls. |

| The dark nature of shadow house slowly beginning to be revealed. There’s more to this place than meets the eye. Shows with mystery really suit Cloverworks really well. Poor Mia being abused like that tho :/ |

| The art style in particular of this show is what draws my attention the most. It's quite dark and fits perfectly with the theme of this show. Then there's Emilico, a little ball of happiness and cuteness. She's the type of character who would lighten up anyone's mood even in a dark place. We got to meet other living dolls, all doing their respective chores. As expected from someone who's been out for the first time, Emilico was really surprised by everything she saw. That song was so cute and soothing to the ears. Poor Emilico, she's trying her best but got scolded. Just don't cry, Emilico. Glad that Kate is not upset with Emilico. Great second episode. Cloverworks is doing a good job with this. |

| Wow so many living dolls, I wonder if there are as many Shadows as the dolls or there are dolls without Shadows too. So that's what Kate meant when she said dolls are their face. They are supposed to imitate their master's facial expression when they are with them. That Sarah girl's doll was totally in sync with her. Kate and Emilico moments were really precious in this episode too. |

| To be honest, I was surprised, I didn't think the house would be so big and with so many members :0 Uff, I felt sorry for Emilico when she was insulted ( ╥ω╥ ) I also wonder and I would like to know more, what is the Shadows House...? |
| When they say "don't fret over trivial things", a far better translation in context would be "don't think unnecessary thoughts". Not sure why they put that after credit scene so early, considering that There are a few issues like the absence of internal thoughts and the rearranging of certain scenes, but all in all this seems a fairly decent adaptation for this great series. |
| When they started cleaning to the music, I thought I was watching a Disney movie for a sec haha. There seems to be a lot more going on here in the Shadows House, and that dolls aren't only meant to look exactly like their shadow, but to act the same too. As I expected, the other dolls don't have it the same as Emilico. Interested to see what becomes of their relationship as well. They might be the change which differentiates from the status quo. |

| Great episode Emilico goes to outside the room. The scene spreading the view is nice. The background on this episode is good too. We introduce to a bunch of characters. And gets a cute song about cleaning. And the mystery thickens as Emilico question the house. And Kate this episode has nice moments too |

| Another episode, and more of the daily job of Emilico to help with Kate's chores...with one day that Emilico would be summoned and step outside of the House. Meeting the other Living Dolls to venture outside of the room and into the main House, it's a treasure trove of Living Dolls for a major clean-up effort as usual. NGL, the singing almost gave me a Disney fairy-taie feel. The first trouble of dirting something that Kate treasures is a big no-no for Emilico, and as such the service must be given to repair amends to the doll. Luckily it was just a case of short anger management from Kate. Falling off a window cliff is dangerous, but thankfully Emilico lands safely on the grasspatch, leaving Kate to go find her through the vast maze of the House. Interesting that other Shadows and Living Dolls are wired differently, though I'd wonder the relations to the entire Shadows House. Debut soon...? |

| Emilico's mid-episode crying session was touching, can't say that I often emotinate about those kind of actions. What the hell happened in Mia's room that was shown in post-credits scene? |

| The scene where Emilico saw many dolls working in one place was nice. Emilico is now getting more familiar with the other dolls and getting a grasp of the environment the Shadow House is. On top of that she had her first encounter with a shadow that is not Kate. |

I think it would be fun if they were born like twins, with one of them kept in a box, unconscious and brainwashed. They are questioning things, but they are also just working off what they know. With limited experience (first episode) Emilico is just living her best life but once she sees other ways of living she starts to think about where she fits in the grand scheme of things. Maybe their brainwashing is only the most basic kind, helping your shadow master makes your life fulfilled. |

| It appears that the Dolls, apart from cleaning tons of Shadow soot, are meant to mirror their Shadow Master's movements, facial expressions etc almost perfectly. While they obviously cannot see their face (a super deep black of <0.0001 nits even when sunlit is basically a black hole) more experienced Dolls like Mia presumably have learnt to anticipate the mood, behavior and various quirks of their master in real time. Mia was not looking at her master but she mirrored her movements perfectly, to a degree bordering on precognition. When a doll accompanies a Shadow Master she is even called their master's name (as in the case of Mia --> Sara). Perhaps Mia is a bit too good on mirroring her master and that's why she is bullied by other Dolls who envy her. I think by now it is clear that the "living dolls" are not really dolls but living breathing eating people. I don't get how they are supposed to live on mere bread though; perhaps that's temporary? I have no idea what the Shadows are supposed to be either. None at all. The Shadows are too surreal for me to even guess. |

| Another great episode, so we're starting to learn some stuff huh. So they're clearly brainwashed, we knew that from ep1 and the singing scene proved it which was pretty creepy when you think about it. But Emilico is kinda not i guess..? Since she is curious about the things she shouldn't be. Truly a 'failure'. What's up with Mia's room after credits? Everyone here is saying she's being abused but am I missing something? I just see hands and footsteps everywhere, also seeing a face and body on the floor but that could be my imagination. Not all Master and living dolls have a wholesome relationship, i guess. So you can get discarded by Lord Grandfather (I assume he's gonna be the villain) if your living doll doesn't act well enough for you, as far as I understood. And the living dolls are really emotionless when it comes to their job huh. Mia didn't care about Emilico at all when her Master roasted them. We're slowly getting to the fucked up part it looks like. And Kate really loves that stuffed toy for some reason. Maybe it's the same for all the Shadows or it's just about her. Now Emilico has one too but I don't see how it's gonna be relevant at all. Anyways I'm more curious about the soot that won't come off, which happens when they are really furious or something. Since Emilico couldn't read or ask about it properly I assume it's important and gonna be revealed later. Excited for the future episodes. |
| I really loved the art in this episode. Everything looked so pretty. That cleaning song was nice and it gave me some Disney vibes. I felt so sorry for Emilicia when she was crying and later when they were bullying her. :( |

| Great episode, I love the atmosphere this anime gives off. As other people have already said here, the part where they started to sing together while cleaning ready did remind me of disney too. I wonder what's up with that post ending scene.. i'm betting it's just Sarah being jealous that Mia has a face, perhaps. |

| That was pretty good. I have to wonder, maybe the shadows are not the bad guys? (at least not all of them) Kate seemed kind of lost when she had to venture outside her room so that's probably a rare thing for her to do then. In a sense she is kept in a "cage" like Emilico. Next episode title seems super interesting, so the "soot form" is likely some kind of illness then. |
| The main hall was beautiful in the anime too and the liveliness of the collective cleaning was also correctly replicated. |

| It's becoming more clear what the dolls' and shadows' links are supposed to be, although depending on the direction this takes, naming them 'shadows' might be a bit on the nose. On another note, that musical bit gave me a whiplash. It was very reminiscent of Disney movies in which characters are happy to do something very mundane - such excitement bordering uncanny valley levels - and that merry was probably meant to be creepy, but I wasn't expecting it from the somber atmosphere of the show. Good episode, good start for the series. |

| The time they use for Kate to run, that they use to show how big the room was, or for all of them to sing such prisoners breaking stone could have been shortened by putting a better fight between the two shadows, or giving more details in that last plot of the doll with the dirty room that is to say, the show began in tender mode with the voices and the design of the characters, these first two chapters have not been much a "shadows house", I dare say that only because of the soot that could be called that, in everything case, the pacing is very slow On the other hand, I repeat, excellent decision of the ED with ReiNa in command, in addition to the interesting plot about the truth of the shadow family, which I dare say is gigantic |

| Human dolls coming together for cleaning and singing a song. And my beautiful precious little lesbian angel Lou was there. The girl which IMO had the strongest Yuri vibes with her mistress. Looking forward to see them interact I think Emilico likes Lou. They should sneak off somewhere and do some lesbian kissing together,,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES .But dont tell the mistresses they might get jealous Lol And I saw wonderful girl feet and Victorian style undergarments Hehehehehe This anime are really going heavy on the fanservice, showing girls undergarments like that =P Anime! You are a perv! But so am I, So its ok Some kind of power struggle are going on. And even If Kate didn't wanna leave her room and seems to be timid by the other shadows. But she went out to save her little lesbian doll anyway..Awwwww you really love her dont you sweetheart,,,YEEEEEEEEEEES Love to see how Emilico clings on to her girlfriend for emotional support when things got a bit threatening Interesting episode. | The art is amazing. I really liked that they are now moving outside the room and introducing more characters. It also shows how living dolls are to act as the face of their masters showing various expressions. Kate cares for her dolls and therefore, she also cares for Emilco. It was interesting to see that Emilco was branded as a failure for not acting as a face for her shadow master Kate but at the same time, she(Emilico) understands Kate at a deeper level and is starting to act like that (like taking care of her stuffed doll). I don't know whether other dolls just act as face and cleaners of their masters or they also try to understand their masters' traits? |

I was planning on reading the manga after the season regardless from the beginning anyways but I'm curious from my memory some internal monologues, the piece of info that wasnt directly told that kate isnt allowed to leave her room(it was shown when she hesitated to grab the door handle, but many anime onlys missed what that small hesitation meant or why she was trying so hard not to be seen), the small comedic scene where and the post credit scene actually happened later in the manga and in different context in other words NOTHING MAJOR |

| Wasn't expecting that sudden Disney-esque musical bit, but it was amusing to see lol. We got some drama in this episode, with Sarah picking on Kate/Emilico. Poor Mia has to go along with that and mirror Sarah's actions perfectly. Her living conditions looked horrible too. Clearly there's much more drama than meets the eye and I'm looking forward to seeing just how sinister the Shadow House really is. |

| Great episode! Emilico has now been allowed to clean outside the room, I am really loving the atmosphere of the show, I'll definitely read the manga after the season maybe. I really liked that disney musical lmao, it was perfect for this show. I wonder why Kate treasures that doll. A debut huh, that Sarah do be a bitch though. I guess dolls need to perfectly mimic their shadow masters and know what mood and facial reactions they have. Poor Mia, not all dolls probably have a kind shadow master like Emilico. Looking forward to the next episode, lots of mysteries in here. |

| the pacing is good but i think they Could have put more stuff in if they wanted to, and because this only has 13 episodes im kind of worried but i rly hope my worry is for nothing. good episode tho ! they didnt miss a single thing from the manga so far, animation is good too |
