Welp, to be the best, you have to beat the best. I think that sort of mentality would fit for the latest episode.

Trying to also surpass Mana in this generation also means to be the best idol group that they can be. I find this week's episode quite motivational in the sense of reaching a near impossible goal. We got two idol groups aiming to prove themselves to the world.

Smart episode for everyone in real life idol industry!

You know what, I can see this basic of thinking! In the end, the world of music is not a world of war (I love how Tendo Rui greets Kawasaki Sakura live on stage).

Look at Sunny Peace performance, and look at TrinityAile (I mean TrySail with kz) performance too! This is actually TrySail career history metaphor (I'm also Love Life fan too besides of MusicRay'n fans, so yeah that semifinal makes me laugh hard 😅).

Sunny Peace = Love Live-style.
TrinityAile = TrySail as usual + kz (In its usual works, TrySail also works a lot with Japanese top musicians, so consider the existence of kz like TrySail's usual works).

(Let's give a welcome to Idoly Pride, Love Live fans. Idoly Pride is now become popular now!)

Finally a trinityaile episode lets fucking gooo. I also just put it together Trysail=trinityaile. I obviously knew the seiyuus were the same, but the naming conventions are also similar.

I LOVED the rui development we got this episode. From the first time I saw her she’s been one of my faves. I loved their performance at the end too. The CGI was excellent today. Sunny peace were decent, but their performance didn’t hit like trinityaile’s more EDM style. I know sunnypeace got the dub because of plot n all, but I preferred Trinity.

I’m glad Sakura is continuing to find her own voice too and not just Mana’s.

Also is that my goat Kirei??? In a fucking idol anime??? Yea this is getting a free 10/10.

I’m really hoping they expand on this series beyond this season because I could potentially like this more than LL.

Edit: LOVED THE ED TOO. Realiser is a BOP

Rui Tendo of TRINITYAiLE (or for better terms, TrySail) is definitely an example of surviving the idol business to the very limit, not giving up the dream of an idol, even with Mana's entrance and passing.

In other words, both of Hoshimi Productions' groups Sunny Peace and Moon Tempest going against TRINITYAiLE and LizNoir respectively, it's highly contested. But to think that the Venus Program has everyone gripped about Mana's case, the only way is up and surpassing her records to put her soul to rest.

TRINITYAiLE's "les plumes" vs. Sunny Peace's "EVERYDAY! SUNNYDAY!", it's been a good while since I'm pumped for idol concert battles, more than the groups showcasing their prowess (and most important for Sakura since she isn't using Mana's voice). The CGI isn't half-bad either, considering that CyberAgent's CAAnimation is also co-producing this with Lerche.

It's great that Sunny Peace has finally dethroned TRINITYAiLE's unbeaten record, and all is in good stride in their own efforts (and not Mana's for Sakura). Now that's idoly sportsmanship, and the best has yet to come.

Next up, Moon Tempest vs. LizNoir, and more pumping for good music.

That was quite amazing. Very cool songs and I cannot choose one over the other. It all sounded nice! Animation is also a lot better for the concerts this time around.

Hyped for the next battle between Sphere VAs and Moon Tempest. But I wonder if they will make more seasons for this. I feel like this series has a lot more potential for another cour or few.

Super fitting to the shows name. Every idol, or group has an image of what they want to be, and the pride that they have with it. Really loved it. Much like I really enjoyed Sunny Peace's song. It was very lovely, and would listen to it again and again.

Well, the result is quite expectable, maybe with another semi-final match too.
Both of their performances are amazing. Sunny Peace's "EVERYDAY! SUNNYDAY" is kind of fresher and brighter than TRINITYTAiLE's "les plumes". Anyways, both of their songs are very good and both of them deserve to be the winner.
Sakura, finally, sang with her own voice, not Mana one. For the next episode, it's time for Kotono to move forward as Nagase Konoto not Mana's little sister.

It seems that Mana doesn't have much time left. It would be a tearjerker farewell, especially with Kotono if she knows about her existence. Or, Mana appears in front of Kotono before she starts to disperse away.

Hmm to think that Rui's current manager was also her father. Still the insight into how motivated her to become an idol. Looks like things are starting to get real with both groups facing their destined rivals in the race to the top. Still the first encounter between Sunny Peace and Trinityaile was nice and relaxed. The bond between Rui and Yu though looks to be pretty strong. Momo Asakura was the perfect seiyuu for her here. Looks like Mana's time is starting to run out though. The semi finals between Trinityaile and Sunny Peace though was a fun one with both songs being excellent ones that made great use of their respective themes. While Trinityaile lost its good that the two groups were able to part on good terms. Its nice that their manager actually has a heart after all. Overall a solid ep that did well to not only expand upon Rui and Trinityaile but also deliver a tense battle between the two groups in the semi's. Can't wait to see how Tsukino tempest and Liznor will fare next.

That's the thing what I laughed so hard when I saw that. TrinityAile, of course, has a better musicality and idol concept, meanwhile Sunny Peace, in the plot, instead chose to 'release Nagase Mana (Kanda Sayaka), with much high musicality' from within their musical concept (especially Kawasaki Sakura, the only idol there who actually inherited Mana's physical and spiritual components, something that made me give Sakura "magical girl (mahou shōjo)-type idol" here). However, watching Sunny Peace look like idol styles which is the stereotypes of Love Live (even the musicality), and the response of TrinityAile and the audience of the Next VENUS Grand Prix as well, even the AI mechanism in the Venus Grand Prix (I hope IDOLY PRIDE game will explain more about the AI mechanism of the Venus Program) also recognise that and give any positive responses; Something that caused TrinityAile, with such an appearance, to lose to Sunny Peace.

AHH, Love Live is legend. But everything became heartwarming when the king of Japanese music like Sony Music Japan also admitted that Love Live was legendary.

Well it was really interesting to get a focus on the other Idol group like that, and I even hoped that they would win, but of course it's Sunny Peace which won, but they still deserve it, their song was good too, they both did a pretty good performance

Wow. "EVERYDAY! SUNNYDAY" is one of the best idol songs in 2021 so far for me. It really has everything you need.

It's interesting to know more about TRINITYAiLE, not only SP and TM. Their music is amazing as well, especially the ED song. Love it.

So final SP vs TM??? I think this is the setup

After spending half the episode with TRINITYAiLE and learning Rui's backstory, I didn't want either group to lose. Definitely didn't want to see Rui cry.

Still, the Sakura train can't be stopped.

Rui's backstory, that revealing her manager is actually her father too (something that's shocking me too, this is kindly plot twist, moreover the vibe of these scenes make me remembering Magia Record last year, where TrySail also got involved in that Madoka Magica spinoff), and how TrinityAile's manager has been looked suspicious by Sumire about why is he always looked so emotional when he talks about Nagase Mana, make me feel that it will reopen Nagase Mana's death story, something that is still a mystery here (hmm, yes it will be a story plotting like Wonder Egg Priority here).

OMG, although the packaging here is totally kawaii as Love Live and Idolmaster after all, some of character backgrounds in this anime are totally dark even some has given the keys for mix-genre story here. So yes, Idoly Pride is a complete package!

*Hmm Rui and her father's back story kindly has a storytelling style like Neiru's revealing story in episode 9 of Wonder Egg Priority, I think my theory about the relationship of Idoly Pride and Wonder Egg Priority getting more right day by day*

Ah, that's the result of Sakura's determination to changing up her blessing Mana voices into something that Sunny Peace could only do. A lot of heavy trains to match-up the situations. Even if its completely changed up the moods, its perfectly wiped up the other people's doubt, with their all-out performance there. When this episode case fell far into their rival good leader, Rui, and her obsession against Mana's record. She proved her wrong and surprisingly moved everyone in one cheerful performance. Nice job!

Anyway, Mana looked pretty much slowly losing control over her life energy as a ghost. So, the result of the first sequence in the first episode look inevitable, as the last way to memorized Mana to be their one and only great idol. Well, can't wait for that momentum.

Then other take from me, as TrinityAile moved on from Sunny Peace performance, and the poor leader finally got the last stand from her father. Its pretty much closed this episode with a good note. As the usual trope, no way they can stands against the main group. I feel quite bad with that match-up. But, well, everyone still had their unique story, and the record shall not be the last resources to determine your own story. Be yourself and proud of it, Rui. Yep, indeed, its still a good performance, more or less....

Same as reality. If we see from popularity, Love Live is on the top, meanwhile vocaloid and EDM like Hatsune Miku is below Love Live 😂😂 (although the difference is very slight).

My guess is that the AI in Venus Program also contains cyber data from social media and online entertainment media.

TRINITYAiLE vs Sunny Peace and sunny peace won, Sakura and co did it. I liked both of their performance so whoever won was fine with me. I guess next episode Moon Tempest will win and the finale will be Sunny Peace vs Moon Tempest.

I'm surprise this episode focused on a different group and Rui's dad is the president of Vans production. I honestly, don't like how he prioritize work over his family. But in the end, Rui got the recognition she always wanted, to be praised by his father.

Trinityaile's performance is good, but Sunny Peace is also good. And I do think SP deserve the win.

I can't believe they tried to introduce the background stories of TrinityAile just like that in a short time, what a nasty project this is... and looks like they're rushing this series at this point instead of enhancing the characters of Sunny Peace and Moon Tempest.

To be fair, the animation for their dance for this episode was splendid, both TrinityAile's and Sunny Peace. Additionally, the songs were well made. I like it.

I'm worried about Mana though. Is she going to disappear like that because she has less regrets now than before the confession? I might not like where this is going for Mana.

And just like that, TrinityAile was overcome by Sunny Peace. It's a nice change to see newbies defeating veterans (yes, I was talking about SIP/SIF, the opposite of it.).

I'm happy for Tendou, Rui. She got an acknowledgement from her dear father at last. It's touching.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.
