If yes, why? i thought i would like it because of Lain but, in the end, it was one of the worst shows i ever watched

no. it did go into some nihilistic themes though so i ended up giving it a 7 for the effort.

I really doubt Tex and Lain have much incomon more then they are rather "deep"

I think you would enjoy THE OLD Boogiepop wa Warawanai and Haibane Renmei more.

For me Tex goes more into the cyperpunk universum and that's something I really love when it's well done.

For me i just want the Anime to be interesting and Tex told a very unique story.
And that's really the only thing I need to enjoy a Anime.
But if you haven't watched the two shows above, I would recommend you to watch them.

I liked it for its unconventional approach of story telling and its attempt at making the viewer uncomfortable. The last several episodes were somewhat more enjoyable than the rest of the anime. I didn't like anything else about it. 6/10.

It's one of the anime I'd recommend the least.

First half was very promising but ended up very ''meh'' with a second half not delivering on anything.

Although I haven't finished it yet, I can admire it for the unique style it brings out and its ideas so far. Some points do get muddled from time to time and the pace is almost agonizing in certain segments which really doesn't make it an anime that can be binged. But so far I enjoy it, and want to see how some of these mysteries and ideas presented will be explored.

I struggled to get through it, I would only recommend it to someone into that sorta anime. I dunno why I even watched it, not really my thing. I think I just wanted to try something really different but went too far to one end of the bell curve with it. I will try Lain one day but in no rush I have a ton on my anime plate

I think it's one of the best I've seen. An unique experience in every way. The at sometimes excruciating slow pace worked really well to tell the story. The setting is basically a contrast between the shittiest place on Earth and the most boring peaceful utopia where nothing happens and nothing matters. And it all feels real and believable. Characters feel like people who actually live there. It was really good at portraying human nature.

It's been a long time (10 years or so) since I saw it, but I still vividly remember lots of it. It was such a unique experience for me at the time. So yes, I would say I like it a lot. It's definitely not for everyone though, I can see some people really struggling to get through it because of it's p-a--c---i----n------g.

It's one of my all-time favorite anime. I love the atmosphere, world-building, nihilistic tone, thematic depth, contemplative pacing, and ending. I could watch it again right now and love it just as much as my other viewings.

It was initially quite boring to me for the first episode or two then it got interesting and by the end I didn't really like how it resolved things. I was conflicted so it got a meh rating of 6.

It looks like those boring indie projects one is forced to watch in a film studies class. Why does it have 22 episodes?

It has a unique environment, but that doesn't mean it is written extremely well. For all its worth, it was a decent watch for me. Something like a 6 or a 7 for sure.

I took a bit of a liking to it upon rewatch.
Who are you and why do you show your hostility towards a complete stranger whom you've not once spoken with before. Are you seriously asking to get blocked? Well, if that's what your intent is; to tempt me into throwing hands with someone as lowly and insignificant as you, then i may grant your wish provided you articulate yourself a bit better when trying to spite a person of my wavelength.

I love it's atmospheric feeling, and it's definitely not for everyone, specially not for people who want action & flashy animation out of cyberpunk,it takes its time to actually begin, and also remember this is for you to EXPERIENCE and dive deep into it, episode by episode slowly but steadily it increases your interest and in the end story turns out in a way you never thought of (though end is not main focus here) the music and animation both are very eerie, grey, dark and minimalistic creates almost distincty interesting watching experience, characters are so well written and memorable too.

I loved it. It shares heavy thematic continuity with Konaka's other works, especially regarding the concept of identity: is who a person is innate, derived from their "soul", or a culmination of experiences and external forces that shape them. The series is so heavy in symbolism that without a knowledge of other works the purpose behind moments and actions can seem confusing. The series is extremely influenced by Inferno by Dante, especially the back half. Great series.

Also having a first episode with like 3 lines of dialogue was pretty cool, definitely tried to weed out it's non-audience.
