| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty creepy episode, not much to say about it though. There's probably nothing less creepy than hearing an old woman laughing in the dead of night. |
| It would be nice if they dropped something like "this is why you shouldn't study all night", but the spooky part is parent laughing... and that's it? That's not horror, it's just awkward. |

| The weakest season out of all 8 imo. Weak stories, no creepy monsters... even voice actors don't care. I mean laughing should have been scary/hysterical but it didn't feel like that at all. Maybe I am just nitpicking, but I miss first seasons' quality. |

| This episode reminds me of a horror manga I read where a pair of female comedians were using demons to force people to laugh at their bad jokes. I think uncontrollable laughter looks scarier in manga-form than in anime. |

| I thought it had potential at the beginning to maybe be the best of the season, but that quickly devolved into the worst of the season. The "deranged" laughing of the parents were such a lame excuse for a scary finish. And to think people wanted episode 2 to show the thing posing as the dead mother, when Yami Shibai has to rely on the visuals to effectively scare, it always fail. I wish I could say this was laughably bad, but I didn't even chuckle. I was just disappointed at how lame this one turned out. |

| This was scary until the parents started laughing like maniacs too, then it became funny.. This seems to be a theme with Yami Shibai, decent concept but very poor execution. |
