I'd say Ariadne did some highly advanced gaslighting our human brains are also mindfucked despite her message being at someone else, trolling him enough to believe that he has reason he'll never actually go outside, allowing for her lazy life more. If so, genius bit, haven't been so convinced by a character's false words since like, Funny Valentine, haha, wow, yeah, holy fuck, crazy ending. She is negative enough (remember her boots) as well as a shut-in to where I could see such a psychological attack to keep her way as how everything goes as super possible, compared to Drossel who was, while easily displeased, still a much more curious personality. Add on top that I'm sure these two are way after our first protagonists, so her being advanced enough to do this doesn't fall away from likeliness. Where with the more hyper tragic ending where that is truth, at least there's still like, a really evident message with crazy execution.
Both ways of imagining definitely work, both endings are really amazing in their own rights, wasn't expecting such a mindfuck.
The first season was still best in general worldbuilding, comedy, however this one was really top stuff for the series as well!
I like how different Ariadne was to Drossel, both were wildly fun, well written characters with their own cool ideas. I did like Drossel more, do love oujosamas, did not realize going in that she was such a wonderfully snooty princess, while also being this robot who's refined, logical, as well as very exaggerated.
It's interesting how like, as far as really significant story beats go for the first three seasons, the first one itself is the full story as far as reaching some conclusion, having a message while also being like, a really fun, cool series. Then the fourth season acts like a weird meta half-sequel, not really following up on the story but mixing around expectations of the series.
Huh, funny comparison showed up in my mind, how it's kind of comparable to the original Evangelion in the first season being a whole story where you'll maybe be like, "ah, I see, sweet, that was the message." Season four is more like End of Evangelion where it really hits you like, "ow, fuck, that message!" Difference is I'd say EoE is super positive, going off topic. For both, it's not like it's more direct with it, but it is suddenly more extreme with it. However it could be a troll robot's biggest mindfuck on everyone so I have the wrong idea (which is all part of her evil plan!).
Awesome series. Second season definitely felt slower, less episodes hit in general, third was sadly super short but fourth definitely hit really interestingly! While also being fresh with its characters, ideas, humour. Favourite season would be the first though. This season however should have the psychological tag added, seriously. Would love some kinda reboot in a different style in the future though. Wish this director had other stuff I could check out, he has some clearly amazing ideas! Ahh, I know I still have aspects I'd like to talk about but there's so much I have to process, haha, which is awesome for how short it is. Finishing post here! Awesome hidden gem which I'm glad I finally watched! |
