| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Okkotsu's whole story reminded me of Yuuji's but at the same time, it was a completely new tale. This just got me hyped for Okkotsu's appearance in JJK honestly.. I'd also like to see the true extent of his powers, especially after the time he spent studying abroad.. and how he'd do against Sukuna's full power. Also, the whole thing with Gojo and Geto hits kinda hard huh.. |

Actually, it's quite the opposite; the sole reason that Rika became that way was because Yuuta cursed her after her death. If you consider how strong Rika became (if I recall correctly it was mentioned that she's equal to Sukuna's 11 fingers or something?), Yuuta had to had a hella lot of cursed energy to curse her to that amount - and that was when he was still but a child. It's been mentioned that he's now studying abroad so I'd assume he's learning more about his cursed technique (could be creating strong curses or something to that extent but I'm just guessing here) and working on from that, becoming even stronger than Rika originally was. |

| It's honestly insane how well this ties into the main series. You'd think this was intentionally written as a prequel. The fact we're still learning about stuff shown here in the most recent chapters in the main series is incredible. Can't wait to see Miguel and Yuta again. I think the first image I saw of 0 was Yuta punching Geto in the face lol. |

| I'm happy I've read this just after the Shibuya arc, many things makes more sense now and the ending with Yuta declaring his love for Rika was interesting to me because (spoiler Shibuya arc) |

| A friend of mine suggested me to read the prequel to the main series for me to catch interest and get on track with it, gotta say he got it right. My only problem now after reading this chapter is to make the tough choice of choosing to watch the anime or read the manga first. |

Catch up to where it's now and then take a dive into the anime. A lot of scenes will hit really different when you'll know the rest of the story behind it. Also seeing what a wonderful job the studio did with the adaptation after reading the source material was really great. Either way tho, enjoy the ride :D |
| Probably the best chapter, mostly for the stuff with Okkotsu & Rika. I really enjoyed stuff like Rika's anger towards Maki and how Okkotsu handled that and the following caring exchange between them. Okkotsu's pure love sacrifice was also neat, but especially in the reveal that Yuta was right, he was cursing her. What originally just seemed like a neat empathetic take ended up doubling as great foreshadowing. That reveal is hype of course for future events, but it mostly leads to a rather emotional send-off. Admittedly, his relationship with Rika was one of the reason I attached to him as a character pretty quickly, so admittedly losing that aspect in the future somewhat stings, but Rika's story being resolved was really the only way for this story to feel like it had any resolution. And I think that stuff was executed fairly well. The stuff with Gojo & Geto had me fascinated too. Best friends, huh? Really interested to catch up in the manga and see this get explored further. Wavering between a 7 & an 8, but even for as much as I really enjoyed the Yuta/Rika stuff, I'm feeling a 7 is more accurate for the whole, especially since the middle chapters were rather light on those elements. |
| Fun read. It's nice to see more of Inumaki, Panda, Maki, and of course, Gojo! Yuuta is interesting, having a curse that is extremely strong and loves him. He has such sad eyes :( I think the movie will turn out great if they actually show more of the fight between Yuuta and Geto, I feel like it was too short in the chapter. Same goes for Gojo fighting those guys when he was mad, it was kinda skipped over. |

| A bit too short, but whatever. Pretty good, reminded me a bit of Chainsaw Man and Ga-Rei, with a touch of Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach as well. On to the main series! I rate this an 8 out of 10. |

| This chapter definitely shows why this series only got four chapters, but the overall potential shows why this series got fully serialized a year later. The main issue with this chapter, and this mini series as a whole, is that none of the themes make sense. This story regurgitates the various themes that you find in shonen stories, but doesn't make sure they match. The main villain wants to kill all those who are weak, while the hero just wants to protect his friends. It seems perfectly reasonable that the villain could have won the hero over if he just offered to protect his friends. Both characters had to talk past each other because real conversation would have shown that there was room for compromise. |

| I doubt Geto is dead but I can't wait to take a glimpse of Yuta in the later chapters, honestly I'm thankful that I read this before the Shibuya Arc because I would be absolutely blind with events that's foreshadowed here. |
| Just gave this a re-read today. So good. Makes me even more hype for Season 2 in July!! Yuta is probably my favourite character in this series :D I’m keen to see him again |

| Rare case when anime does things better than manga, both this and original are done WAY better in the anime. Anyways, the fact many people don't notice apparently, is that the afterlife exists in this universe. Biggest issue in real world, when it comes to death, is total absence of evidence or even hints that there's something after death. Rika here gives the best possible evidence and I think it gives peace to the mind. |

| That was an amazing chapter. The fight scene was amazing, Rika unlocking her eye due to Yuta's confession, and the final scene where Rika is freed from her curse was really moving. Pretty good prequel. I love how Mappa added a lot of new things in the movie. Like the Miguel fight scene, and some more scenes of Yuta vs Geto. In my opinion this was a solid read and deserves a 7/10 |
