THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Nox is at FULL STRENGTH to take down enemies with their god, and it's not gonna be very pretty under Axley's command.

Taking a quick look at Jegal Taek's backstory, what a horrid one, and like Park Il-Pyo, the Fox vs. God are one and the same in the dog-eat-dog world of revenge in pure skill. You either be a winner or a loser, and defeat is NOT in the vocabluary.

Park Il-Pyo, more than being the Key catalyst, it seems like nothing can stop Nox from its destruction. And just like Episode 1's opener, it's a do-or-die situation for Park Mu-Jin to clean this mess up.

To save some time, Park Mu-Jin's teleportation of everyone into a foreign land to keep everyone safe and away from grave danger, more so for the Nine-Tails Guardian Park Il-Pyo's strong charyeok power in defense against Jegal Taek. Even the Tiger Cub Jin Mori has a hard time fighting against Jegal Taek, while Jeon Jaesan of The Six shows up to defend Seoul with his insanely OP Charyeok that decimates the entirety of Nox once and for all.

The only enemy left now is Jegal Taek and the power of the Key accumulated, ascending into God-tier status just as quick.

Action-packed episode...awaiting the finale.

Not much to add from the previous episode rundown. The animation was fantastic, too bad the story makes no sense to make me care that much.

So pretty much there are multiple people after the key, the strongest character is determined by nothing, it's just what the story wants it to be at any particular moment. New characters pop up just to do one thing completely unexplained then pop off when finished. Everyone has a Charyeok now. The key still isn't explained and the world mechanics aren't either.

When the nuclear missiles came, I was thinking sarcastically, "oh no, if only people had powers to block/intercept missiles", and of course someone did, so not sure why characters thought it was a big deal.

I really just hope that the final episode somehow miraculously puts it all together with a satisfying conclusion for season 1.

Holy shit, goosebumps. The scale of this series is absolutely insane, almost incomprehensible. What an episode man. Jaesan with one of the craziest feats I’ve ever seen. Transporting 10 million people instantly.. what a legend.

Jegal is now full on Devil, how are they gonna stop him in one episode? Going to be an insane finale next week, can’t wait.

Ilpyo when using his Charyeok against Jegal Taek, was stronger than when he fought Mori.

That teleportation was insane! and also the members of the Six are very strong, they beat Mandeok!

Jegal Taek takes the key and change his form!

This keeps getting crazier and crazier I love it! Jegal has asserted himself as a big problem. Already a prime piece of shit now we see him for whom he truly is. The big bad we've been waiting on. Thought for a while now that Nox would be the endgame antagonist but nope it's Jegal. His powers are super crazy to look at. Got a bit of backstory for him this episode too. Taken in by his grandad and told his whole life he's a winner and others who he beats are losers. Basically brought up like a stuck up smug rich kid who's had everything handed to him. Makes sense he's the big bad to oppose Mori and Ilpyo since they've both worked their asses off to get this far. Jegal even killing his own grandad after he got pummeled by Ilpyo.

Some more insane fights this episode. Taking the scaling to even wackier limits. Mandeok taunting Park Mujin just to get a very scared look on his face once Jaesan showed up to avenge his grandson. Lots of generational bonds in this show, I like that. Glad that old man Jaesan came in clutch to help Mujin. Basically saved everyone in Seoul too with teleporting them out of the city away from the chaos. Damn Americans trying to nuke God! Crazy Tony Stark wtf! Now they're all away from everything including out heroes so they can go all out against Jegal. With him now having the Key this finale so gonna be awesome!!

Fuck this damn key that they keep bothering us with like every half-minute without even trying to properly explain what it is.

I liked the series way more in the beginning when it was just a simple tournament. If you don't know how to make a complex story, just don't bother and keep it simple instead of doing this laughable job.

The best visual is that 3 frames that shows Taek's nipples, only 3 frames!!!

And this escalated too quickly, it's like they're NOT making a sequel and trying to finished for once and for all before Crunchyroll moving to another webtoon (and to be fair, there are like thousands of webtoon waiting for Crunchyroll adaptation so maybe they decide not to invest establishing franchise out of one particular webtoon).

Wait, the Key is a literal key now?

Maybe the US Army, not the Air Force, nor the Navy holds most of the US nuclear weapon assets in this reality? Hmmm...

Jaesan might be doing out of revenge and not in their plan (whatever that is!) but he did most of the work in a flash from teleporting everyone out of Seoul to converting the nuclear missiles into his giant magical battering ram.

Meh, altough Jegal did his latest transformations in one go from baby to winged baby to that crowned and horned whatever that was, it is such a passé already, Aizen overdid last time.

So.. this has exploded...

New and insane episode, with the news that Jegal is now full of evil, that Ilpyo is still the fuckin best and that The Six really are super strong, even we know now that the key is... literally a key??

Ithink this has been running out so fast and now everything is confused (except the amazing fights)

Awesome episode but idk about how it will end the season..

Even having read the comic, I had so many wtf moments. Definitely the worse episode so far. So many moments lack the context for their emotional punch. Q's whole bit of paying off his debt by killing the enemy is never explained, it's just him counting up as he's slicing vague angels monsters.

This covers around 17 chapters (92 - 108), unless you count the skipped underground segment. I'm so disappointed b/c some of the arc's best moments are butchered to save time. Jegal is super generic, but his interacts with heroes that flesh him out and make you understand why he's the way he is.

cant really count by pages, its just a long string of single pictures, often cut in half by pages

the best comparison one can give is tower of god, whose anime covered 78 chapters
god of highschool wants to cover 112 chapters in the same amount of episodes

i doubt the story makes any sense unless you have red the manhwa, considering how hard they had to butcher everything to cram it into 13ep

This episode was such a mess. It's like a completely different story from when I started this anime.
Ilpyo vs Jegal fight was great.
The Magician teleported everyone out of Seoul.
I guess Seoul is destroyed now.
Oh damn, Jegal got the key and he turned into a demon or god I'm not sure.
Overall the animation was great this episode but the story is a mess.

Crazy, crazy episode! Animation, fighting and action were amazing as usual. I AM STILL CONFUSED AS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING! A couple of GOH manhwa reader has said that story is pretty good so I am crediting the confusing storylines to the anime cutting a lot of useful contexts out.

Jegal has become a big problem- killing Jeon Jugok (the guys with power to absorbs people), severely injuring Ilpyo’s teammates- Seungah and the other guy- and now his has stolen the key. I thought Nox was going to be the main villain but now it might be Jegal. Is Jegal going to be defeated in one episode and then season 2 will go back to focusing on Nox???

In the flashback, we learn that Jegal was sold to his Grandfather at a young age and his Grandfather touches him a toxic need-to-win mindset causing him to develop a superiority complex- "I won't be a loser".
Jegal new character design is really nice- has a finale big bad villain vibe.
I am still hyped and I am fascinated to see how this season ends.

I honestly agree with the comment above.

The anime's story is very messy, and can be confusing to the audience. The story's scenes and plot is very disorganized when put together. They introduce new material every episode. But for viewers watching it without reading the webtoon novel, it can get confusing.

First time that I read a bit ahead of where we are to see what was coming next and that left me very much conflicted and confused on this episode. If the series didn't have to be so rushed, I probably would have felt more fulfilled, especially if it kept to the source material.

It makes it hard for me to judge this anime alone, but given the unanimous confusion, I think the quality of the story telling is clear.

Overall, even with such action-packed scenes and absolute mayhem going on, it leaves me desiring so much more out of this. Perhaps if the series comes at us again with a series two, it will be handled with much more careful hands.

Every time a se asian tries to understand christianity they go on a similar route. Not only they put God and on the same foot as mere demons but also copied from Bayonetta when it came to angelic beings. Such a rabid attack on Christianity from those that wield power of demons is meant to fail. What would happen is that those martial artists would be attacked by their own chakeryo or whatever they call it because the demons fear the power of God. The power of the cross defeats even the strongest demon.

I really can't understand how someone who's not a edgy 14 year old can enjoy this episode. Nothing makes sense, the strongest is whoever the show say is, all power is a deus ex machina, all the secondary characters have zero development and even the villains' motivation is barely explained.
This anime is just a product to take money from edgy kids, with barely any story.

This episode kinda felt off to me.

That golden Buddha-devi statue animation looked disappointing, it reminded me of those worse cgi animated Gibia.

The animation, characters, action and music everything was really amazing. It's just that after those God statues started appearing, it became confusing and my hype for this just went down.

So, Jaegal Taek turned into a ghoul and then a child for a second and then quickly grew up looking like Jesus?
I thought Jaegal reproduced a baby after putting that key inside his stomach...

I wish Jin Taejin appears in the final episode. Want to see a duel of Jaegal Taek VS Jin Taejin.

Maybe. Personally i don't like dragon ball and most battle shounens.
However, if you are going to use dragon ball as a comparison, at least dragon ball has some context and explanation about the motivation of the characters and the plot, even if it is poorly written. The god of highscholl can't even explain what is going on and only do show off all the time.
