| I went into Gibiate with a open mind and a lot of hype, a post apocalyptic world with samurai and ninjas? Sounds really interesting. But when i watched the show I was disappointed by bad CG and bad animation which is unfortunate it just felt like a really cool world was ruined. So should you watch? Its 100% up to how much you can put aside the animation and CG to enjoy the story. Id like to know how everyone else feels about this show as well do you think its fine as it is? Or should it be better? Put your thoughts below! |

| I wouldn't recommend it. Personally I don't care that much about animatoin. But even I noticed the "pictures only" at a lot of scenes. Then the plot and chars feel weird/random. (They didn't have to bring that long flashback in episode 4.) I just watch it cause I like samurai. (And I liked that flashback - though it felt out of place.) And I'm not against post-apocalyptic stuff and zombies - unles it is pure splatter. (Which it is not here.) Still weird combination. I like the shamisen opening though. |

| I tried, I even thought to myself “it might look terrible and the pacing might be garbage but the concept is good, maybe you will get used to the artistic choices in production” but no this is too terrible in every way to watch. |
| You should watch it now, as it's airing, because it's pretty bad and getting worse with each episode, so it feels like I'm taking part is some historical event as I experience this atrocity unfold over the next few weeks. Once the series is finished though, you'd just be jumping on the bandwagon and the experience wouldn't be the same. |

| To keep it short, this is a bad anime. I only watch it for the banters. It is so bad it is funny. It is even makes me sad when I think about the people who worked on it as I heard that some of them are suite talented people. So, do not watch it unless you have tolerance to not so good anime, or you have too much free time (because this show is not binge-able) or you are new to anime and want to explore everthing about the medium. |

| I have had my share of horrendous anime from the 80s up the 2020s and let me tell you I thought the Island of the Giant Insects was the worst anime of this year with CG that is almost or equal to Gibiate but Gibiate for being 4 times long than The Island of Giant insects this is by far the worst anime of the year and even the 21st century no kidding. BTW that's where your 8$ Crunchyroll subscription went through with their "Crunchyroll Originals" to this awful piece of media with the "best" CGI in existence |

| For anyone that is still pondering if it's worth watching.... let me save you the time and suggest to watch something else. Like the OP stated, I came with an open mind hoping for some cool development towards the end... well there was something, but it was weak. The whole story was very shallow. All 12 episodes can be summarized in 2 line of description. I tolerated the bad 3D animated monsters, willing to forego that major eye shore flaw, hoping there was more to the story, only to be dissapointed. |
| It starts of pretty well and then it gradually becomes really bad imo plus the animation for the gibiate is really bad. The art style kinda ticks me off too, but the opening was great. I wont recommend it at all i just dropped it through cuz it was just too bad. |
| I finished it today on the 4.11.2020. I can't recommend this anime to an experienced anime watcher. Maybe to someone just starting out, but two anime similar to it will make for better recommendations: Drifters - This was something I can recommend without hesitation. Wolverine - This while I don't remember that well, I still think it did better than "Gibiate". Watch this anime if all you care about are pretty characters, that is all it has. |

| The premise sounded interesting, but the score had me concerned so I roped my friend into watching it with me. I think that saved this show for me, because watching it with someone else, you can laugh at it together and enjoy it. I don't know if I would have finished this show on my own, but we finished it together and bonded over this experience... what a great memory! :D |
