The anime hasn't even come out and I'm already disappointed by the art style used to adapt this work. I mean just look at the anime poster and the LN art style. Sure they can't look the same but this? Really this????

I don’t get why everyone always gets upset over animation. Have you seen how far we’ve come since let’s say dragon ball. As long as they don’t look the the cgi from arifureta I’m happy lol. But this anime seems like it will be sad as shit and will be overly dramatic based off even the music from preview and the synopsis. #Yuri#Harem#Ecchi#Romance#OPMC any of those and I’m in as long as there’s no ntr, like the king demanding she marry some asshole from her own country since there suppose to be enemies. Rant over

Your rant aside, I think what Stellar's trying to say is that we've been better quality animation before, FAR TOO MANY TIMES, might I add, to give anime like this an excuse because BS reasons.

Also, another thing, this is Silver Link. They're not known for their creativity or innovation, the same way JC Staff isn't known for shounen when they took on OPM S2 the same way they're known for food porn. That, and JC Staff hasn't actually done shounen before, if at all. Aside that, their fantasy/isekai anime AREN'T that good. Animation from those two specific genres from SL are average to MAYBE decent-at-times at best, mediocre at worst.

Speaking of SL, I find it ironic NOBODY says it how it is when it comes to anime like this, be it story, animation, or otherwise, ESPECIALLY when it's damn near obvious but excuse it anyway because it's "fantasy/ecchi/harem trash" or "don't think hard about it", or even tell off studios like Silver Link and the people involved for making poorly produced anime or putting out anime with either shoddy animation, sometimes to the point it hurts your eyes, godawful CGI, or about as incomplete as putting out a VERY buggy and glitchy as hell "game" on Xbox and slapping $60 on the price tag, yet we're over here attacking Horikoshi, demanding he ship Bakugo and Uraraka, or complaining about Uzaki's breasts.

I don’t like awful cgi but I love ecchi harem and yuri lol. I didn’t mind Kenja no Mago, Misfit at Demon Academy, Death March, Bofuri, some of arifureta, dxd, and smartphone so I know I’m in the minority. Unless the monsters are blatant cgi like arifureta I don’t concentrate on the visuals like others. I do get mad at dense mc’s though so that’s one part of harems i dislike

Okay critics, maybe it's time for you do the writing instead? What's you see adapt are just a few of the many fantasy setting in the shopping/book store in Japan...Go to Japan and see it yourself. The sell and that's all enough for me to know there are readers of those LN/Manga. And some of them do get anime adaptation while others do not. You're point is valid but you should think about how the market actually work.

I already seen most or even more than what you hamentionedion above. But I still enjoy them since there's at least something to watch and I don't like rewatch. So it's better for anime being produce than none at all. After a long day of work, generic or not doesn't matter much as long as it's entertaining. Of course, everyone has different taste. Maybe you should try a new genre besides fantasy?

I understand there are shows meant purely for enjoyment or entertainment, but the problem isn't that it's dumb fun, it's that we've seen this type of anime done before, much better, yet y'all fail the same goddamn lesson and would constantly use the whole "entertainment" crap as a shield to deflect criticism. If you like it, more power to you, but don't use the entertainment thing as a crutch to excuse one's flaws. Obviously we'll have to wait and see how it turns out, I could be wrong, you could be right, and vice-versa, but given what we have next season, if I have to place a bet, you, my friend, would be in the minority watching this, much less liking it. Then again, it ain't like there's that many noteworthy anime, so I wouldn't exactly give it TOO MUCH credit.

Honestly, if you like it, that's OK with me, more power to you. In fact, I'm glad you like Kenja in some parts, if not, all, where I couldn't. As long as you're not using it as an excuse to deflect criticism like "it's not to be taken seriously" or "as long as it's entertaining, it doesn't matter if it's generic" like SOME people here in the anime community, IDC that much. I like to believe we've seen too many examples of isekai, fantasy, ecchi anime, and even OP characters done well to continue making BS excuses, know what I mean?

If it is, I will definitely say this isn't as popular since they're pretty similar pattern like Rakudai Kishi, Gakuen Toshi, Absolute Duo, Machine-Doll, Black Bullet, etcs.

You're right that this is similar to other series and yes it definitely be a minority since it's actually target smaller audience of specific genre. Ofc, there will be flaws. I know this myself since I seen plenty of anime like this. If I enjoy it than I enjoy it. It's fine with me if you disagree with this. But that does not give you the right to dictate what others should watch or enjoy. Their definition of entertainment/enjoyment is not same as you.

Again, I've also mentioned about the market which I really hope you know what I mean. You should question why are there too many of those examples being produce in Japan? Are there demand for those adaptation? That's why I made a joke about you writing one yourself.

Speaking of SL, I find it ironic NOBODY says it how it is when it comes to anime like this, be it story, animation, or otherwise, ESPECIALLY when it's damn near obvious but excuse it anyway because it's "fantasy/ecchi/harem trash" or "don't think hard about it", or even tell off studios like Silver Link and the people involved for making poorly produced anime or putting out anime with either shoddy animation, sometimes to the point it hurts your eyes, godawful CGI, or about as incomplete as putting out a VERY buggy and glitchy as hell "game" on Xbox and slapping $60 on the price tag, yet we're over here attacking Horikoshi, demanding he ship Bakugo and Uraraka, or complaining about Uzaki's breasts.

I don’t like awful cgi but I love ecchi harem and yuri lol. I didn’t mind Kenja no Mago, Misfit at Demon Academy, Death March, Bofuri, some of arifureta, dxd, and smartphone so I know I’m in the minority. Unless the monsters are blatant cgi like arifureta I don’t concentrate on the visuals like others. I do get mad at dense mc’s though so that’s one part of harems i dislike

Honestly, if you like it, that's OK with me, more power to you. In fact, I'm glad you like Kenja in some parts, if not, all, where I couldn't. As long as you're not using it as an excuse to deflect criticism like "it's not to be taken seriously" or "as long as it's entertaining, it doesn't matter if it's generic" like SOME people here in the anime community, IDC that much. I like to believe we've seen too many examples of isekai, fantasy, ecchi anime, and even OP characters done well to continue making BS excuses, know what I mean?

I do but I just don’t see why ever forum has people always talking strictly about the visual and there’s nothing wrong with it. Maybe bc I’ve seen how hard the process it is to animate a drawing so anything other then still photos are a plus lol. Kenja was a nice surprise since a op Mc actually marries a girl that never seems to happen
