...thanks to one of the latest gross anime trends, you can't be too careful.

Manga readers, tell me, before I let myself get too invested in this show: does it wind up being incest?

No, not that there's anything fundamentally wrong with incest. Consent is the only thing that actually matters here. I read all 11 volumes and there's nothing even vaguely suggesting a development that you're trying to avoid seeing. You can keep watching without fear.

To clarify, I'm asking if it becomes incestuous in the manga, regardless of if they'd get away with it in the anime. I don't want to get invested if it's in the manga regardless of if they cut off the anime beforehand like they did for series like Usagi Drop.

Glad to hear it apparently doesn't? Yay!

Yes, because there is nothing more important than consent. As long as all parties involved are on an equal footing and there is no misinformation/manipulation going on, there is no reason to force people apart.

There's certainly something totally wrong with you on a fundamental level if you think there should be a sexual relationship between a dad and a daughter. A parent and child is one of the purest forms of relationship to exist and to sexualize that bit for what? A story no one's gonna like.

I totally would like it.

On a nother note I have a question, is this anime half comedy half drama. Which of the two dominates. Does it end on a sad or happy note.

It's pretty split even, but if I had to say, there's more comedy than drama in it tbh. Towards the end though the drama does start to pick up

But it for sure ends on a happy note

Shit... thanks for the info. The comedy really annoys me. So I was hoping that the 2nd half of the anime would go all sad and depressing tearjerker and fix everything. To bad the comedy dominates, again thank you.

I'm glad someone asked this question as I've been considering this but after discovering about Usagi Drop (which made me drop any and all interest in watching it) I get nervous with these type of plots.

It's not incest if they are not blood related

No that's not how it works. Family is not a scientific term that determines how far and not you can spread your term.
Saying it's not incest if they not blood related is the same as saying you're not your parent's child if you're adopted.

So adopted children are not family? And the only thing that defines family is how many protein structures you have in common?
Okay, dude next time you fuck a girl remember she is 99% similar to you in genetic composition so you're basically fucking your family.

I’m not sure if anyone else replied to this as of now though the usagi drop anime cut the crap out and left it as a pure relationship not whatever the hell the manga gave us.

I think there can be no incest because this anime shows a blood related wholesome dad- daughter relationship so i don't think there is anything to worry about and i haven't even read the manga its just a personal opinion.
