It was great. Unlike a lot of mangas with girl characters, katsuwo let them be brats, which I think helped it be truer to the way kids that age actually act and made it more satisfying to read.

Exactly. I hate the majority of isekais but Re Zero speaks to me on another level. I actually dont mind Rem being absent tho. Im not exactly attached to the characters for some reason, Im more in for the adventure.

I did. It was great, but it kind of made me wish that I could read the story lines that never ended up making it into the series. It never even occurred to me that the guy with tie on his head would be Sabu's dad, or that his brother was in the band with Atsushi. The class rep x killer mask love story might have been fun. The missed story between Anzu and her adopted brother would have been cool too, since as the series went on, we saw less of Anzu's family interactions. If Ikaruga was future Hitomi, I think it would have led to a scene where the younger Hitomi yelled at the older one for the life she ended up having. I also never realized I needed to see a picture of Hina and Nitta as turtles.

I know, it's bittersweet. I hope Ohtake has another series planned because I really love the weird humor that went into Hinamatsuri.

The live action Ippo will be really cool, I hope in some weird way that it's popular and the anime can come back. It's always great seeing a series as old as Ippo still getting love and attention.

This has to be the fight to inspire Ippo to get back into the ring, the manga has to end with a fight between Miyata and Ippo I can't see it any other way.
