| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- At this rate, any strategy would be important to save nations in the admist of this war. Hope the Qin Dynasty is ready for the challenge ahead cause I predict a lot of bodies dropping. Not bad for a buildup episode though. I love how the high stakes of this war with major characters gathering to anticipate an uncertain future. Shin also looks super determined leading his troops! |

| A good episode. Weakest of the three but given how its just been buildup mainly for the Battle of Kankou pass, but still very nice. Music continues to be exceptional. The character designs were pretty weak this episode admittedly, but still passable enough for me since the animation of some of the sequences were solid enough. The war really gets going from now till near the end so the hype train begins now. Very excited to see the rest (if nothing happens to this show). |

| Bruh, the way Lord Biao just charges out before the Chu commander could finish was hilarious. Well played, was overall an awesome episode. Can't wait to see how this war unfolds. |
| Honestly who would want to give their opponent the chance to finish their pep talk especially when they just announce that their army will be the first to mobilise anyway xD. It was still funny though. |

| Oh yeah, also wanted to comment on the OP for this season since it's now slightly changed from the original version for this opening. The first opening's visuals featured a lot of bits from the trailers we got previously, whilst this new version of that opening now has more of its own visuals and less from the trailer - like near the end with Shin fighting on the ground against random soldiers for the most part, or him sitting whilst focused after the Kingdom logo popped up, and etc. I liked this version more. The song still isn't the best but at least the visuals have added a bit more intensity and originality too as the first version felt a bit lazy with the opening visuals. Like they had no time to properly complete it. Now it feels and transitions a lot better for me. |
| Ok, i'm really considering dropping the show and binging after the season is over, its so brilliant, i don't think i can contain myself for 7 days to see the next episode. Wow, where to even begin. The animation remains consistently amazing, as good as the first 2 eps were i was sure once the big battles began we'd begin to see them cutting corners, but no, it was consistent throughout. I wonder if this is what happens when you have the mangaka supervising. Seeing the troops lined up really had my blood pumping and the loud speech from the Chu commander, great Shithousery from Hyou to cut him off and just charge, literally can't wait for more. |

Same opinion again, mainly served as a buildup and transition episode anyway to the Kankou pass battle that's about to take place, but still enjoyable enough to watch and never feel bored by it. It does make me curious though now that the show is returning after a year, will the production quality remain the same or did Studio Signpost take a bit of the free time to refine the visuals even more? Cause they definitely had more than enough free time to work on the visuals a lot more and make them better. I think it'll be about the same though. |
| this buildup makes me expect great ideas for wars as we had in s2, hoping to see diao's strategies as well. i wonder though about achievements in this kind of protection war. previous seasons were more conquer wars, i dunno if achievement in protection war is bigger or smaller lol. |

| Is there really absolutely no way to go around that pass and those mountains and just attack Qin from behind? Cause yeah the coalition is very powerful and all but I can totally see Qin being able to defend that pass and prevent anyone going through. |
