Judging from the description, this looks like generic isekai story.

Interested to see how this will be coming from the creator of Trinity Seven. Hope Maho Film (the studio making this) isn’t too overwhelmed by having two shows that will be airing that season being this one and Kami-tachi no Hirowareta Otoko

I was wondering what this was all about and when I checked the rating for the manga, it left a very bad impression upon first glance. But then once you start reading, it leaves an impression like a lot of effort was actually put into this story. Basically, I think I understand why it left such a bad mal rating and impression upon people. The girls, yes thats right the harem of the mc. The girls are more useless than the konosuba squad and the mc is like kazuma except for the fact he has little interest in his harem. But here's the thing, there is actual character development to be made and the girls do learn and become smarter thanks to the author's writing, but this all ends up short when they do something stupid in return to remind them of their retarded nature. The mc also has some significant character development, but here's another thing. HOLY FRICK the details are literally fucking insane. When the author goes into full tryhard detail mode, every character becomes very omniscient all of a sudden and you feel like your brains had fricking fried after trying to understand the mathematics and science that unloads on your screen all of a sudden. I guess what I'm trying to say is the author is adding too much detail for the viewers to handle. I get the author is trying to do some world-building but the world feels too generic for that sort of thing and so far the goals seem really insignificant which makes it really boring. This was the same problem I've also had with trinity seven as well. Anyway, I really got nothing much else to say except for the fact don't let the genericism fool you, there is some uniqueness to this story if you look past the cover but I won't gurantee you will find something other than boredom.

After reading the manga til Arc 4, I can safely say this is one of the best Isekai genre out there.

The isekai setting actually MATTERS this time, and the game itself is like Dark Souls difficulty.
Basically this is RE:Zero level of difficulty in terms of isekai premise, except this time you fight with a party. (Characters can revive too if it is not party wipe)

It is a super interesting watch, highly recommend.

PS: It is drawn by Trinity Seven Author, however, the original source is from a web novel.
So don't expect Trinity Seven type of dumb plot. It is way deeper than that.

Never take Mal's rating seriously.
For real though, so many good anime/ manga got rated down because they only rate up popular battle shonen or manga from a famous author.

Didn't have high hopes going into the manga, but damn this is by far the most refreshing isekai I've read in a while. I love the way the story is divided into distinctive arcs, and the amount of details the author put into the characters and background. Looking forward to the anime :)

it's weird seeing an isekai anime not based on a light novel

The synopsis is just a summary of the awful start once you get further down into the source material you'll come to realise this isn't awfully generic as you think it is and the author actually puts a lot of care into his writing.

Bruh its author is the same as My home hero manga which I regard to be as good as DeathNote. Though I wanted a My home hero adaptation. This is acceptable too.

I can only say don't judge a book by its cover.
This one is different of every isekai manga I read, like the darksouls of the genre.

I liked the plot enough that I hope this Isekei can reach RE:Zero level of popularity and get full adaptation eventually.

However, the first two arcs might not be as interesting to catch enough attention for new audience, so I don't have high hope because audience nowaday has patience as thin as paper.

my first impression when reading the synopsis its negative an isekai with nothing characteristic except that the protagonist's harem members come from his own world(in isekai cheat magician the protagonist only carried a single member), but I saw the trailer and it is even worse, apparently this is not a virtual world however the characters when suffering amputations do not bleed really seems to be in an unrealistic virtual world even though he wants to take himself seriously. NOPE

Judging by how shitty it looks and edgy plot nature, I guess we can expect at least Arifureta level of entertainment.

damn you gotta at least give it a chance. Seems pretty good to me but i feel like it might get a little bit corny. Anyways, alot of you guys are like old people who automatically hate something because of the genre its in without giving it a chance.

The summary didn't seem like anything interesting. Seemed pretty generic.

But the PV caught my attention a bit. No telling how it will turn out. But I'm at least willing to give it a look and see how it goes.

Lemme guess: the guy who was given a role of farmer suddenly becomes an overpowered superhero? Yawn.

The thing is the plot has a refresh cycle every arc so he's only farmer for a little bit until he is given another role which is part of a set of rules (Wheel of Job role), he is not overpowered by any means and he gets man handled plenty of times, but he is very smart so he uses his head alot.
