| Pretty disappointing how Escanor got friendzoned and martyred in the end while everybody else got their shoujou romance manga happy ending. |
| And so the best part of the manga is burnt away... The lead up to this was pretty spotty,but this chapter by itself was a good culmination of Escanor's character. I'm glad Nakaba gave the character the proper respect it deserved, so good on him |

| I was expecting Merlin to once again pull some random shit out of her ass to save Escanor's life, but I'm glad Nakaba decided to actually allow a major character to die. Praising the sun has been fun these last few years, but now it has been extinguished. RIP Escanor, the last decent part of this manga lately. |

| I know it was fucking expected, but still... It hits so hard. One of the very last decent parts of the manga is gone. But I can give Nakaba some credit for now at least. |

| This last arc was a bit of a letdown...but this chapter saved it. A great "Last Goodbye" to Escanor. I like it. |

| Good. Escanor was the only one to remain great to the bitter end, he went out like a champ without some bullshit keeping him alive. The only death in the entire manga that actually hit me in the feels, because damn was he likeable and great. At least the mangaka can't fuck up his character now...I hope. |

| what I don't understand is...why was he not the main character of the frikkin series. He's like a badass trash-talking Saitama, the hokage naruto always wanted to be, the power level Goku could only ever dream of, so good that being a pirate king would be far beneath him, etc. Seriously. Escanor is the epitome of shounen badassery. |

| Man, I loved this guy. I have watched anime now for nearly 10 years, and yet I have never loved a character, and only liked a few. But this Man, My boi, I LOVED THIS GUY. A guy who literally looked at his enemy, and said that he stands atop of all clans, like you dont get that trash talk from any other heroes, except antagonists. I loved his character so much, I named my account, my game accounts after him. To be honest, in the short time that he was shown, he changed my life. And here I am conflicted, my boi saved these 7DS guys a** so many times, so many times. And this is what he gets when is about to die. It felt forced, the mightiest do fall, but Lord Escanor was pushed down. My heart really felt as though it got stabbed, when the Great Escanor said, "I can't move my body." This chapter is a sure doubt 5 from my critic's eyes, but my heart keeps hovering towards 1. Because the man I looked upto has been killed as though he was just any other strong holy knight. But in the end, I am happy since Escanor was happy when he left us, so I cannot be sad when mah boi is happy. Thank you Escanor, you will forever live in my heart as the greatest and most bad ass character I have ever seen. I shall spread forth your tale even if 7DS is ever forgotten about ever ( most probs wont happen, cause who can forget you slashing galand in two in ONE SWING !!!! ) Rest in Peace, Lord Escanor. |

| The best character of the entire serie leaves the stage. As much as it was foreseeable, I hoped until the very end he’d survive the end of the story. But there are still some chapters to go, maybe the fans got pissed of and Nakaba had to bring him back, who knows. |
| RIP to the ONE! Escanor was undoubtly one of the best characters and I'm glad he went out with style. Greatest warrior of humanity. |
