| I've read it's because the rushed pacing of the series in comparison to the manga, well, it's obvious, adapting 43 volumes into just 36 episodes was not really a great idea, but I must admit that I really enjoyed it, sure, it could have been way way better, but at the very least I got a grasp of the plot despite the obvious rushed pacing, compared to series like Hakyuu Houshin Engi where I didn't understand a shit of what the hell was happening and just dropped it. So in short, the score went down because its rushed pacing. |
| the girl controlling beats was not a "plot hole". it was a plot convenience..but then again those monsters were created just for her lol. literally nothing like that until she was introduced. Anyway, the anime did feel rushed a lot of the time and the quality was all over the place. I enjoyed it enough but I know it could've been a lot better |

| A bunch of people complain that the Anime left a sizable chunk of the Manga out, but I didn't read the Manga, so I don't care. I really enjoyed this Anime. It's not perfect, but I can't find anything bad about it. It has plenty of action, and also contains many emotional moments. You haven't even watched it. |

| I think the anime definitely falters a lot towards the middle. I haven't read the manga, and while I know that it does cut a lot out, I don't inherently think that's a problem, but I can tell it wasn't handled that gracefully here. A lot of backstory is left out which leaves the middle really dragging as it attempts to get us invested in characters that I'd guess had way more time to develop in the manga, what is clearly the end of a pretty major arc from the manga just kinda happens, and the amount of time spent in exposition dumps is kinda amazing actually. And while I think it does come back up to be alright, that middle chunk definitely still stains the overall product and even towards the end while I enjoyed it, I'd be hard pressed to say it was consistently good. I think that's part of why the score dropped a lot. |

| The first arc was quite solid. Really enjoyable to watch, but the rest of it not so much. Trying to cram 426 chapters into 36 eps is a recipe for disaster. VOLN made it work with Ushio to Tora, but not so much with Karakuri Circus. |
| First cour was outstanding. Definitely 10/10 But once the flashback arcs started, it turned into complete clusterfuck and quality severely dropped. |

| First arc was amazing and everything after just kept slipping more and more downhill. Part of it is probably due to the rushed nature of it all but I can't imagine some of these plot twists being any better in the manga. |
