| I did some digging. The anime character design and key visuals are done by a person called 中山知世/Nakayama ...Chise? (not sure about the pronunciation) and lo and behold: A person of the same name was also involved in Re:Zero. I'm not sure if it is really the same person because the one on the wiki page was only involved in animation, not design, but AnimeNewsNetwork also lists her as the same person as the animator for now. And as Asaeed implied, the covering her eye part is most likely just a coincidence. It's already part of the blond girl's original design that doesn't look nearly as much as Rem/Ram with a very different art style. |

Why, cause there aren't any nipples? I hate to break it to you but boys have nipples too. The lack of nipples in the image means nothing as far as gender goes, if it is a girl they probably didn't want to have to censor it. Personally, Aku being a trap might make her/him more interesting than her current status in my mind as "blonde Rem clone". This anime has been pretty by the numbers so far though. The only things keeping me watching are all the stuff in the OP and ED. |
