Dragon Age and Young Gangan have announced on Wednesday that mangaka Kakashi Oniyazu died on February 2.

Oniyazu drew art to Date Ast Like, which is spin-off to Date A Live franchise. He also published Tatoe Hai ni Nattemo, Banana no Nana, and more. The mangaka Tweeted last December of having a heart problem when sleeping like angina pectoris or myocardial infarction, and learned on January 25 that it was atrioventricular blockm which he was suggested strongly to have a surgery to put pacemaker in. January 25 was the final date he updated his Twitter account. The official website for Young Gangan magazine has announced that Tatoe Hai ni Nattemo manga will remain unfinished after 56th chapter release on February 1.

Haven't heard of him, but he drew some pretty cute anime girls in ecchi poses, so RIP. Maybe I'll check out some of his works in his memory.

R.I.P.

Heard about it earlier today. I also just happened to come across some pages of the Ecstas Online manga the other day too. A shame about the unfinished series, was interested in picking it up eventually.

No disrespect meant to this particular mangaka, but anyone else feel this always seems to happen to mangakas of ecchi series? Always seems to be ecchi or harem series that end up half finished...

Very sad. Just hearing about him and looking at his work, I would have been very interested in his series.

Can you give some examples?
I need research on some axed/cancelled manga.
It is indeed a shame to see it cancelled.
And the recent Tatoe Hai chapters were few weeks ago.

Then this happen. The Manga already marked as cancelled.

Both author were from LN though not Mangaka.

But still
MM is cancelled yes.
but Zero no Tsukaima got a script before the author passes away so it is still finished with adaptation (i think LN too but idk i am not sure).
