Oh boy, the situation with Yukiya is getting more and more tense.

At least he has some allies but also problems coming his way. That video becoming viral is just the start of those problems.

I would normally say its nice to meet the old cast again. But Handshakers is one of the worst shows I've seen so I couldn't care.

Still, it wasn't a terrible episode by any means.

One of the worst shows you have seen? Then it seems you narrowly avoided all the garbage that every season is filled with, and progressively more so. Because even though this show isn't as good as it could have been, it is way better and imo has more personality than 95% of the anime of the season.

I quite liked this episode, since I was indeed curious about what happened to the other characters. When I am attached to the characters, prolonged interactions between them are not bothersome at all.

And hell, it's an anime about people holding hands. Even though that technically is for another purpose, the theme it implies nonetheless is the relationships between people. So it's par for the course that it will have more screen time than the action part. I understood that early on, but I am still here because I want to see it all nonetheless.

The last episode had me sold on that theory too....But he's too old to be biological it seems (Unless they had him years before season 1)

There is a chance Yukiya maybe be Mayumi and Nagaoka's child. Is Koyori and Tazuna married? Is Riri and Masaru married too? Does Masaru have any blood relation with Riri?

I think she is quite unfamiliar with the concept of the personal space bubble, since all she was ever used to was holding hands all the time. That explains why she goes for holding hands and being in physical contact, but I don't think she is aware of all the normal implications...

I felt like that Akutagawa is an old seducer, who didn't respect Yukiya's father's demand of not dragging him to the handshaker's world. She is using the kid's crush to drag him in the handshaker's world to find those two, in other words she using the poor brat.

Now I see why this series deserves this rating and less.

yukiya's turntables are tech 12s, or at least one of the many tech 12 clones. proves that whoever chose the assets, or even modelled them for the show, has good taste.

Did the ponytail Loli from the previous season get shorter?
Dat fuc?!

Meh, idk anymore, at least it seems kinda better than first season so far.
Choice of animation can still be very visually jarring.

lol actually no, as you can see in the pictures she's the same. they problem is that they all were sitting on chair and she was walking on the ground, so the height difference was magnified.

One of the more enjoyable aspects of Hand Shakers was the amazing cast of characters. While Tazuna and Koyori's relationship was the emotional core of that show, I would have definitely liked it if the supporting characters got a bit more development. It was great to see the other Hand Shakers return, we even see Tazuna come back, as well.

This episode offers us a glimpse of what happened to the Hand Shakers after the end of the original show and I'm glad to see that they got their own happy endings. However, the exposure of the original characters comes at the risk of overshadowing the new characters, especially when it looks like the old Hand Shakers are communicating with the new Hand Shakers.

We also get some backstory on Yukiya, who was adopted by Break and Bind from the previous show. Also, Masaru's interest on Yukiya is partially based on the fact that he was adopted as well, which somewhat mitigates Riri's crush on him. Look, Masaru and Riri aren't bad characters, I just wish their relationship was handled with a bit more nuance instead of taking the easy route of adoptive siblings getting married because they aren't actually related. That, in my opinion, is just lazy writing. I'm also not fond of Yukiya's crush on Koyori, because that would invalidate her relationship with Tazuna and the struggle they endured in the original show. Yes, Tazuna originally saw Koyori as a replacement for his dead sister but eventually realized how wrong that was and he came to love and respect Koyori as her own person.

Those are just my opinions regarding the character development. Aside from that, this episode felt like setup for future conflict and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Riri and Masaru is married. Masaru is adopted and has no blood relation with Riri, which has been already discussed in this episode. Also, this "blood relation" issue is also covered in Hand Shakers Episode 5, after the ending song.

What about Koyori and Tazuna?

I'm guessing those were Koyori's parents that gave him up and he's her brother.

Idk why, but the attendance of the old Handshaker make everything abruptly messed up than before. The confussion over the Yukiya's birth was also hold long than i imagined. The explanations still unclear as hell. And their relations, fuck, i am cringe like crazy right now.

Tazuna come back, finally. So let see how his reaction while facing the new MC of these series. The third part, and i can't really find any interesting storyline so far. This third seems to be more like another introduction. Only that, no more for me, its very dissapointed.

It's a shame it's been a while since I've seen hand shakers. Still awesome to see the old cast again.

To like W`z, you should definitely have seen Hand Shaker beforehand.

Yukiya is definitely Mayumi and Nagaoka's son. They were all over each other in the first season, Yukiya looks similar to Mayumi, and he even had quick flashing visions of both of them when he seen Koyori for the first time.

Tazuna is finally back, so I'm not sure he'll be happy with Yukiya looking at his girlfriend like that. I wouldn't be. This kid already has a love interest, why does he need to target the main heroine of the last season?
