Heh, a beach theme episode. From the swimsuit teases before, I knew this would eventually come. Some of these girls are really decent swimmers too. (looking at you Yuki)

On the other hand, it looks like the episode/show is getting serious now as the plot picks up more. Again, I think this show is really making Goe stand out more with the character relationships she's building with others.

Interesting episode. Looks like Theresia is starting to have doubts of her own. A trip to Okinawa huh. Though they couldn't go Mei and Aoba's attempts to simulate sure was amusing. Aoba's inventions sure are creative. An hacking tool disguised as a selfie stick lol. But the bike that can cloak and float was by far the most impressive. Funny in how helmet girl's craze actually reflected her role here. The team's infiltration sure ended up being more action packed than expected thanks to those defences and traps. Its nice seeing Momo take the initiative though and thus allow us to see how far her skills have grown. Though the mission was successful it seems Momo's relationship with her master just got frostier.

Nice fanservice in this episode, but they should've shown more of Yuki.

The girls go to Okinawa, but not on vacation, but still they have a little break.
Theresia seems to be in conflict between her loyalty to Moryo and her friendship with Hatsume
The girls looked great in swimsuits, I would have liked Mei and Hatsume to be on the beach, but at least they also wear swimsuit.
The girls discover that the Shisa organization was defeated and now they must rescue two members, one is a hostage and the other is being extorted.
The infiltration to the enemy base was executed very well, the Viking girl enchanted me and Goe managed to be very helpful in convincing her to help them to defeat the enemy and rescue her grandfather.
Momo was very reckless when facing the leader who controlled snakes, despite getting a small scratch she manages to beat him, but Yuuki was very strict with her, I was very sad when i saw Momo so discouraged, I hope this incident does not have an negative effect in her performance. The girls are preparing for their next move, while Theresi flees leaving in doubt what will happen to her.

Another trip to Okinawa (we sure got quite a few this year). Nice bit of fanservice this episode.

Goe keeps impressing me, blocking that axe like that even without her Spyce.

Poor Momo, in all honesty, she was a bit reckless fighting that snake guy but only got a light scratch. In my opinion Yuki overreacted a little bit, maybe she's a little too fond of Momo that makes her way more strict towards her.

A bit of fan service and it was subtle at that too.

I can't believe that old man was a bad guy, you don't find that many jiji villains these days. It seems like Goe has made a friend in Ouka, I really hope we will be seeing her again soon but I doubt it since it is close to ending. Those viking helmets were a lot, the girl really loves her viking lineage.

Momo and Yuki seemed to have had a scolding session, but I think Yuki overreacted a bit, she is overprotective of her apprentice. I really like their relationship.

It looks like Teresia has escaped, I can't wait for what's next.

It seems, Yuki will probably retire, her Spyce duration was reduced that it shocked her, ah calling it now, her mentor's duration of spyce reduced in the middle of a mission just like what happened to Yuki in this mission, it's probably the reason she lost her eye, she was so strict to Momo coz she doesn't want what happened to her happens to Momo, relying to much on her mentor

Tho Yuki did tell her to rely on her but now that she's about to retire, she's worried hence the contradiction

CeddyyBearr said:

Imo, that's actually a let down, she got nerfed coz she should've taken her out without using spyce in mere seconds judging by what she showed us in the previous episode

My thoughts exactly, also I think this is some trauma involving Yuki losing her eye, probably bcoz her mentor couldn't protect her coz Yuki relied too much on her but when the moment her mentor wasn't there it happened

She didn't, she let her escape she wasn't on Tsukikage's base, it looks like a public hospital and Hatsume left her there, scratch that, just remembered Hatsume is freaking rich, her operation of removing the poison probably happened in her mansion that or it's her privately owned hospital most likely but I'm sure it's not on Tsukikage's base coz if it that'd be pretty stupid and we know Hatsume is smart af

Relationship make or break eh?

Goe is slowly improving herself, while the fight between Momo and Yuki detracted, maybe her overprotective nature and self-experience?

Fanservice comes as expected for a little bit.

And...Theresia comes an escape, wonder if that was intentional or not, under Hatsume that is.

This viking's stuff was pretty campy, but still, the action is still pretty well set. It looks like this show is really becoming TS-ish.

I'm loving this show okay, but this episode just seemed so "Filler-y". Like things just happened for the sake of happening, there was no build up for that Viking girl, she just showed up and we had to feel sorry for her. The whole final battle with the snake dude but then ending with the snakes leaving and the 'ol bait and switch of the main character getting hurt but not. Idk it all felt like a filler, and I feel this episode was poorly written. I'm really enjoying this show so I hope this was just a one week thing and it'll go back how it was previously.

Good action. Momo is really brave fighting that skilled snake man 1 vs.1. I guess the metal they put into their arms came useful, as the sword might have cut deeper if she didn't have that metal part of the costume in her arm.

Yuki might have a really bad experience before like a squad member who died, or maybe the trauma of losing one of her eyes in a past mission that went wrong. She does not want same thing happen again.

Byakko seemed to be fully friendly with them now. Well, she has no home to come back to, so why not make a new home with the Spyce girls. :3

I have a new theory on about the potential traitor.

What if there actually isn't a traitor? What if Hatsume actually discovered some time before this series started that Theresia was in Moryo(correct me if I spelled that wrong) and deliberately gave out information in order to draw both Theresia and Moryo out?

Now granted, this would seem pretty far fetched in that it would make Hatsume look selfish and she'd be putting her comrades in danger, but considering what's between her and Theresia in the last few episodes it would actually make a whole lot of sense. Allow me to bring three points here.

1. Hatsume's is the team's gadget creator but she also a computer hacker. In addition she always seems to be a step ahead of everyone including her own companions.

2. Moryo themselves have stated that they don't know who the traitor is or if said traitor is entirely trustworthy.

3. The only person Moryo discovered who is actually in Tsukikage is Hatsume herself. Well, what if Hatsume did that deliberately in order to get Theresia's attention and lure her into a trap while making Moryo play their hand?

Now, or course, this brings up the question of why Hatsume was so surprised to see Theresia again in her school after so many years. There are two possibilities. One, Hatsume could have been pretending or two, she might have expected to meet Theresia somewhere on the battlefield and not at school. Either way, Hatsume's goal of drawing Theresia out succeeded and Theresia could be the key of bringing Moryo down when considering the lengths Hatsume has gone to save her childhood friend.

Goe is still too strong with that spyce.

Spyce's effect on Yuki is not lasting as long anymore. hint for her to retired maybe?

It's a bit too harsh for me. But i begin to understand why she is being oveprotective to Momo, the reason for it have correlation with how Yuki lost her right eye. Maybe because she did what momo do in this episode.

The Mentor slap! Not cool. You gotta have more faith in your girlf-... in your apprentice, Yuki. Not her fault she's so good.

Goe getting the viking helmet was pretty cute (even if Viking Shoujo has like 100 of them). It was nice of her to try to help her grandfather.

I'd be lying if I said I'm not disappointed that super-hacker Hatsume doesn't know how for loops work or how to properly indent her code >_> But I've pretty much never seen a show apart from Mr. Robot that gets this stuff right *sigh*

Hmm...okay... no!

Something about northern heritage, horns being cute and a dark skintone isn't really making sense. Besides that the Vikings were never close to Okinawa by any means.

Also Im baffled by the lack of intelligence in that show even though there are sometimes sparks of it. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but Moryo could've already identified anyone of the Tsukikage members by simply taking photos of them during one of their raids and then using any software or even manpower to compare to any database of that town. While they may fool any precise software's I bet that at least an idiot could match that one girl with only one eye and blue hair to any crappy photo...
And that "snake-god" Why didn't it sound any alarms? The fire was so damn bright that the whole place would've get every guard up and ready in a mile's radius...

Also those blades would've killed 'ol one eye, because she can't see anything from the right, but I let that one slip, because it's a powerfull trope in anime...

For a moment, I thought I had skipped an episode since seeing Hatsume fighting against Theresia without a proper context was a bit unexpected.

Anyways, it was another nice episode and although the introduction and resolution of the viking girl's problem felt kinda rushed, it was still enjoyable to watch.

Also, it's nice to see Momo has improved her skills at fighting (although she let the enemy take her katana...). She did a pretty decent job in the mission and honestly, I think Yuki overreacted a bit about her fighting against that snake dude. It surely was reckless of her but she didn't have a choice either.
But based on her reaction, it seems Yuki was worried for a reason, maybe something related to her past. Really curious about it, being honest.
