Greetings! This is my public MAL account! I have another, old, undisclosed identity here but you will never find it. I've only mentioned it to troll you *staples your mouth*
I used to create analytical Youtube videos on the "Tsubasa's Family" channel, discussing the Monogatari Series from a narrative and conceptual standpoint. I'm on a hiatus at the moment due to college, NASA internships (phew), and developing a videogame.
Apart from really stand out shows, these days I exclusively watch "Cute Girls Do Cute Things", Yuri/Shoujo-Ai, and some shoujo/josei that focuses on the femalexfemalefriendshipslove. If you're into those genres we would definitely get along :D Unless you're one of the "Citrus is a horrible rape show but when SAO shows far worse it's fine because reasons" people... in that case, please don't friend me, I dislike hypocrites frankly '^^
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How I score things...
The fairest way to score a highly subjective medium to make the score as useful as possible for others is to rate it based on other shows in the same genre. This is my approach to scoring and is the reason, for example, that Harukana Receive, Comic Girls, and Akagi can all get an 8. In addition, dropped shows mostly get no score, unless I'm very confident in what I feel it deserves.
MAL is already quite untrustworthy, however, so I do make some personal adjustments:
-Shoujo Ai/Yuri gets +1 automatically
-My least favorite tropes get -1 automatically
-The Monogatari Series is basically a genre of its own and does its own thing pretty damn near perfectly, so it gets mostly 10's.
Please enjoy looking over my list, or if you'd like to have a chat about anime (especially Yuri/Monogatari Series), I'm open to that as well ^_^
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Favorite things:
-The Monogatari Series
-Yuri/Shoujo Ai (Ship ALL the waifus. Except Rin, she's mine.)
-Pizza
-Music of all kinds (Really, all kinds)
-Playing the piano/electric guitar/drums and (kinda) harmonica
-AI and machine learning
-Programming (Java, Javascript (Node.JS), C++, HTML Stack, Python, R)
-Briffault's Law (3D for fun, 2D for life)
-Analyzing Everything
Unfavorite things:
-Excessive fandoms (as in death threats, disturbing the peace, etc.)
-Mushrooms
-Sony
-Virtuous fan-service hatred
-Swag culture
-"Pure" yuri fanatics (Dark yuri is best :d)
-Waifu monogamy
-The word "y'all"

Just some amateur stuff I've written and recorded myself.
I wanted to say thanks for all the Monogatari content you've provided, it is sincerely the best out of all the Monogatari analysis videos I have seen in my life and I am grateful for you to share your thoughts. If there is even the slightest possibility for you to make another analysis video, I would definitely be one of the first ones to watch it!
Thanks a lot for your work and hope you're doing great!
Wow Sendai! I hope the transition goes well. I'm sure it will be beautiful over there. Are you going to try to make it to a comiket? I assume you are moving for a long stay it sounds like
Hey man, I really enjoyed your monogatari analysis videos, specifically the ones on fan service. I had picked up on a lot of the things you mentioned, but you definitely helped me see the full picture. I noticed that you hadn't uploaded in a while, which has lead me here. I'm glad to see you're still around, and from what I can tell, you seem like a pretty awesome person. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for making me think!
Also I find it crazy that you haven't seen Zoku yet, I'd love to hear/see your thoughts on it, even if it's just a MAL rating.
I find relationships to be emotionally draining and unrewarding. As much as I want to have a romantic soulmate in life, rationally I understand that what I want from it is unattainable, so I don’t bother with it. That said, all people are different, so hopefully you'll find the best solution to your situation.
In my opinion, reasons for falling in love are unimportant, what matters in the end if you’re happy or not. I’ve been suffering from depression for the last five years and it only gets worse, but Laura instills little fragments of happiness in me. That's actually more helpful than so-called therapists, so indeed, fictional beings can be very influential.
I think there’s nothing to “affirm”, you either have those feelings or you don’t. However, buying merchandise can bring you joy, so that's definitely a good thing.
What I meant is that I didn't decide to fall in love with her on a whim. I do, in fact, have a very special character and my profile page should be sufficient to identify who it is. Sorry for making you confused about it.
Yeah, unfortunately there are many people like that. That's quite ironic, though, because most of the time people fall in love with an image of a person they create in their minds and not with what this person actually is. Easiest example would be love at first sight and most common is frustration after getting to know each other better because person in question turned out to be different from the image created in mind.
I'm not sure. Reserving a term isn't the case because it happens naturally. After all, it's not like I was pondering about who to nominate for such a title, right? Alpha Waifu is a funny term, ha-ha, but I doubt it conveys the meaning behind it correctly.

I was just issued a warning so some of my stuff will have to go :(

Oh, and happy new year!
