Oh boy, this got tense. Two individuals that followed different paths...

At the core of this show, I think friendship is still a major theme in this show. Still, I'm really glad we got to know more about Hatsume this episode. About half way through the show now and I think the plot's pacing is starting to pick up more.

Halfway through the anime and I have two suspects of who the traitor is

1. Yuki (Bunchou no Onna 's bird has the same scar on it's eye that Yuki does, but that link is minimal to say the least but considering Bunchou no Onna can make her subordinates lose their memories, then maybe?. But I HIGHLY doubt she's the traitor now at this point.)

2. My mostly likely suspect is Momo, the main protagonist. Like I was thinking about this and she is already adept with spy work but without the polish, her smell and taste ability is oddly specific for her with spice allowing humans to go super-powered (in a ways). Like Yuki, Bunchou no Onna could have erased her memories, given her a fake family and friends (considering Bunchou no Onna has alot of power in the city) and Momo herself just doesn't know that she is unconsciously giving info to Moryo (not to mention that she still makes mistakes after becoming a Tsukikage but maybe that is intentional but if I'm wrong then she's a rookie sooo...)

Other than that there are soo many red herrings..some within red herrings that it's still kinda hard to tell still but I'm betting my money on Momo and/or Yuki being the traitor.

And Byakko is essentially Jashin-chan at this point...kek

Hmm quite the interesting episode that expanded upon Aoba's character while also expanding the plot by introducing Theresia. The look into Aoba and Theresia's past was pretty insightful. But it was cute seeing her persistent attempts to befriend Theresia though. Byakko's banishment from her village was surprising though looks like she feels more at home in the hideout now. Theresia's inner feelings and desires was quite unexpected. Curious to see how this situation develops for both Aoba and Theresia next ep.

Finally an episode centered on Hatsume.
Hatsume had a friendship with Theresia in the past, but the actions of evil people caused them to be separate, this caused in Theresia a great resentment towards Hatsume, now she is a member of Moryo and must investigate her old friend.
Yuuki instinctively suspects Theresia and decides to start an investigation, leaving Hatsume out of the Tsukikage missions.
Today I felt sorry for the little Byakko, the poor girl was banished from her village for failing her mission, but Hatsume tries to cheer her up and Yuuki reminds her that with her skills she can be an ally of Tsukikage.
I'm glad that Momo has noticed something strange in Theresia when he saw her with Hatsume, she makes it clear that Theresia wants to be friends with Hatsume again, but she denies it and flees.
I loved this episode, they explored the kind and calm personality of Hatsume, we also saw the confidence that the girls in Tsukikage have in her. The after credit was pretty good, we see the face of Moryo's boss, this woman is quite skilled with the sword and very ruthless.
I think every time they mention the traitor in Tsukikage a fragment of my soul dies, I know that the revelation will be devastating, whoever the traitor is.

They've tamed Byakko and now it seems like they will tame Teresia, all in the name of friendship. I see also the leader's face has been revealed and I like it, those eyes are awesome.

I think it's one of those lets all be friends anime.

I think this is the most touching episode yet, I hope Theresia and Aoba can be friends again soon maybe on the next episode. Still hoping an unknown 7th member of Tsukikage is the traitor not my beloved main characters especially Momochi. It would really break my heart if it was one of them but if it's another person, I'll be okay and maybe go ahead and watch it repeatedly once it's over. And maybe for a bit of excitement, Sparrow Woman would find out about Momochi's incredible abilities and would want her to be a member of Moryo whether she likes it or not. It's not that I want to see Momochi getting hurt, I just want an exciting episode. Hoping for no important character will be killed at the end of the show. ♥

I still think it's Goe, though. She was the only person not crying when they revealed backstories.

Probably a red herring. If it's Momo I'll flip my lid.

So what is the reason to hide Moryo boss face until this episode if her face didn't relate to another cast in this series? or do you find her face have connection to something so far?

My concern is the boss used katana for fighting and Yuki mentioned that her mentor also used katana so i tried to search about Yuki mentor i didn't find a clue

this is picture of Tsukikage one generation before one MC with Yuki, Aoba and Mei still apprentice and Katrina still active in duty

I liked the character development of Hatsume in this episode but I find that there are some questions that I have after the backstory.
1)What is Hatsume doing in clearly a rural area of a foreign country when her family are rich like crazy?
2)What even is Hatsume's motive in joining the tsukikage if she's some rich girl?

Anyways,Shirou will be proud of this episode and the main antagonist looks damn cute, thats probably the reason why her face was "censored" for 5 eps.

That's what I thought since episode 3 (Goe) but this episode made it pretty clearly that Hatsume is the traitor, and that this is some test for Theresia, added the fact that POV is on her a lot

1. Anime logic

2. You could ask the same for our mc, she's not rich but ain't doing it for the money, they're just wanna do it for the greater good, they're talented so why not use it for the sake of good

Post ending scene was badass.

Could you remember that Hatsume's family did build that apartment building? She coming maybe from a construction-industry-dynasty: Her family had maybe an build-project in that county: hospital or the like in such 3rd world contry.

The sneaky attitude of Katrina makes her very suspicious (after how she with Hatsume spoken has), in the traitor-chart is she very high... But let's see...

So Hatsume already knew Theresia and they seemed to have quite a past together. As for the traitor, my guess is still going to be Katrina..

I didn't expect that in the post ending scene!

Solid episode. All the friendship garbage was a bit cheesy, but nonetheless I still enjoyed it.
Also, I was completely shook by that end credits scene. It makes Moryo look like less of a joke and much more of a threat. I just, really didn't expect to see people getting butchered in this show.

I think the girl in the front with wavy hair is suspicious, tbh her face kinda resembles Moryo boss. Maybe that's Yuki's mentor.

Also, does anyone notice? somehow the Moryo boss' hair color is different: it's white in the screenshot but it's yellow when she's in the bath .
I wonder if it's due to the lighting effect.

Could have been a half decent story, IF this wasn't about spies.

I mean, they're supposed to be secret agents.
A lot of things from this episode shouldn't have happened.

The bad guys giving an espionage gig against a person who has huge emotional baggage with the intended agent. Yeah, that will definitely work well.
Except of course if this episode is a facade and there's a whole lot of double/triple agent and acting shit going on in behind. Possible.

Ah! The narrative rhythm has dropped a lot and the situations glimpsed, have not helped much to make the episode more interesting. What a nice Byakko! The only thing worthy of note was discovering the true face of the enemy, who will she ever be?

That line about being alone.

That approach can hardly be called overt. It's more akin to screaming "I'm a bad guy" from the rooftop. At least they were smart enough to give her that memory erasing drug first.
