They've worked with many shows of all different lengths, e.g. Devilman Crybaby is 10, Aggrestuko has 15 of non-typical length, etc. They're also just the distributors – they have nothing to do with the production itself. And it's fairly popular in Japan. Just not internationally, or not as much, in part due to Netflix not making it available outside Japan until after it finishes airing. |

The ship has already sailed for its attempt at popularity, the most its going to get is kind of a sleeper hit status, definitely won't be getting a 2nd season unless it's already a planned split cour or something, we dont even know if it really needs one though it very well could wrap up fine in 12 episodes |
