| The animation is great, but the story is confusing and pacing is very fast. Pretty sure is just the poor direction of this adaptation, I've read some early chapters of the manga and you can actually follow what's going on. I guess I'm still watching this because I want to finish what I've started, but trust me, you shouldn't even bother with this. |
| I'd say just read the manga if it interests you. Apparently this anime really botches how many chapters per episode it adapts, and has the worst pacing, with lots of cut content. This is just from someone who has seen the criticism though, I haven't actually seen the show |

| No it's not that crappy but it's pretty rushed. However, if you are not familiar with the original Chinese classics this is based on, don't watch it because you won't be able to follow it. This series assumes you have prior knowledge on the lore based on the original works. Then it becomes extremely interesting. |

| Unfortunately yes. I read the manga lots of years ago, and I completely loved it. The old anime, compared to the manga, was very disappointing, because it changed the original majestic ending in a incredibly silly way, ruining everything. So when this new anime was announced, I was very happy. "This time we'll have a proper adaptation of this masterpiece!" And, well, no. It is very confusing and very different from what I recalled. I thought, maybe it is just me remembering it as majestic, maybe the manga was as confusing as this? So I started reading the manga again. And WHOA not at all. The manga IS majestic, and this anime is simply crap. So please, READ THE MANGA. |

| It's baffling how much they fucked this up. The story isn't that hard to follow, but the pacing butchers the shit out of the world and characters. It's unwatchable unless you're familiar with the source and want to see how bad it is. |
