| One of the most depressing stories I ever read in manga. "Asano-tier" level of depressing. But definitly one of the greatest manga I read so far with its own interesting and creative way of exploring human nature. |

| I think they could've delved a bit deeper on the homunculi before they denounced it as a delusion considering there were plenty of really interesting figures out there that leaves a lot to be desired. How the whole revelation turned out really reminds me of how the Old Boy manga ended. |
| Wow, am I glad I found this. I was a bit hesitant to start the series due to very mixed reviews and god I am glad I gave this a try. The manga was absolutely stellar - the atmosphere that really drags you into the story, the subtle horror and superstition elements that really get you into the right mood to enjoy the pace. The whole journey from start to finish - discovering what is going on in little bits before eventually everything gets revealed. Unlike similar manga - this series does not end up backfiring due to trying a plot too hard for author to handle. He did an amazing job and finished it brilliantly. There are no unnecessary complexities, the manga is easy to follow yet contains enough depth to give it that 'real' seinen taste. The ending was extremely well done - it's exactly what you would expect from this type of manga, it matches the harmony and the vibe that manga gives off perfectly. I rarely look up author names, but this manga made me check if I missed any more of the hidden gems... sadly the author doesn't seem to have much more to offer aside of 1 other manga... a bit sad.. but making even one great manga is not a feat that many mangaka manage to achieve, so I suppose it's just fair. Overall I would say this totally deserves the love and a read from any person who enjoys psychological seinens - this series won't disappoint you at all.. a perfect blend of mild psychedelic adventure paired with psychology that is done just right. It's a rather fast read as well, managed to finish it in under a day, so perfect for people who like to immerse themselves from start to finish. A very strong 9/10. |

| It was a wild ride from start to fiish, and im glad i gave it a chance. This manga was something i was always gonna read be it sooner or later. Im glad i read it sooner and as the milestone to mark my 50th manga. The story throughout and the journey of Nakoshi from start to finish was amazing to read even though it could be quite confusing at times. We also met plenty of characters. Some i enjoyed and some i didnt. That yakuza man at the start was cool. The art throughout has been nothing but top tier we had plenty of amazing panels throughout the story and plenty of amazing moments that all got the art they deserved. The art style is also amazing. Overall Homunculus has been a wild but amazing journey. |

| Started on a very high note, but the more it kept going, the more it was losing me. The ending is very realistic though - any person with such ability would go insane sooner or later. Even in the beginning of the manga Nakoshi wasn’t exactly right in the head, and the trepanation(s) just made it worse. |
