| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So we even got talking lions in this show. And he happens to find the entrance to the restaurant. They even added some action this episode. I love how this show has its blend between fantasy and reality. The right in the arena was brutal too, damn. RIP flying beast. I think it's a good thing that the lion beast guy ate before fighting. Looks like we got another princess appearing in this show as well along with a family of the higher class. Interesting. That sweet sundae looks delicious...  |

| Good episode. The lion was interesting the the half Elf had a nice story as well. Alleta's reaction at her diet was funny, proving she still has some things to learn even tho she is confident in dealing with customers. |
| The lion was lucky that he found that door. As always the food looks good. Seems like the chef got his generosity from his grandfather. Next episode preview suggests they will bring some of the characters together. That should be interesting. |

| These were probably my favorite stories next to the one about the treasure hunter I kinda wanted to see the Half Elf interact with the full Elf but if the next episode is any indication on what's to come then I feel like my wish will be granted one day |
| Great episode as always. The food always looks so good. Really liked both stories this week, simple and sweet as always. I wanted both the elves to interact as well, hope it happens in the future. Should be interesting to see the different characters interact next episode. |

| I really enjoy this format of delving deeper into the lore of a certain character from the "other world" and then their coming into Nekoya for a good meal. The Lion King's real origins have been discovered! The power of the pork cutlet bowl cannot be ignored, so much so that it seems our fluffy gladiator stayed way longer at the arena that he needed. The half-elf princess was so cute, too. At first, it was sad to see her living life alone, secluded from society, but she seems happy enough with the work she's able to produce (and the access to Nekoya, of course). In general, I really like the whole elvish race (including the half-breeds). Hope to see more of them in the future! I'm quite excited for the next and likely most intricate dish yet: the sandwich. Patiently awaiting the arrival of our lovely Kuro, too. |

| Got to see a talking lion. Right before his fight with the flying beast, he ate lots of katsudon. That helped him win. The elf that appeared in this episode is not a vegan like the other elf. Alleta was surprised about that. Victoria helped the chef write the menu for dessert. |

| I'm repeating myself every week. The concept doesn't get old and gets me happy to the point of almost teary eyes. The half elf was REALLY beautiful. Lion was great, especially his roars. |
| 5 portions of katsudon made the lion win and survive as a gladiator. That is sure one hell of a power up. |

| Another great episode. It feels wonderful to see just a simple meal could give meanings to people's lives. The Lion King needed food and encouragement of katsudon to push forward and survive, while Victoria found the motivation to practice sorcery after essentially being forced to practice it due to limited career options. |
| Another good episode, looking forward to seeing more character interactions. The preview hints at that happening next episode. The food looks great as always. I also noticed they do a great job animating the eating of the food as well. It is always interesting to see how the food motivates each of the characters. Lion King is motivated to win in the arena and half elf is inspired to create a new magical device. |

| The lion man now earns a ton of prize money from victories (and likely having paid off his freedom long ago) but still chooses to live in that dingy jail cell for the sake of good food once a week? I hope they only let him use the cell as the champion's privilege or as a waiting room or something similar, and not have to live there 27/7. Too bad nothing happened between the two elf characters...last week's preview made it seem like there might have had some drama brewing, particularly their taste in food and aversions. Oh well. Would have liked for her to inquire about the menus she drew for the restaurant, with how modern tech/photocopying could affect her research papers; where her world has to have everything hand-written...but this aint that kind of series apparently. I see the princess half-elf has made herself some kind of magic mini-fridge box for preserving her puddings, which is pretty cool....either that or it stops time in the box. I also see the animators drew a pair of "puddings" of another variety ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Can't tell me this wasn't deliberate. |

| I always wanted to watch this since it first came out. But now I got the time, I binged watched it. Didn't expect to, but the first episode kind of got me enjoying the calm smooth atmosphere. Everyone got their reason to come here and not just because of the food but a little special reason. A connection or bonding. Something special the restaurant represents in their life. Its sweet. |

| Great episode as always. Both the stories were heartwarming and sweet more or less equally. Next week's episode looks like it will be a blast so can't wait for it. |

| Well, this was an improvement as far as this show is concerned, as these two individual stories have been some of the best so far. That being said, we could have done with some interaction between customers, especially seeing as quite a few of them are evidently connected in some way: to be fair though, it does look as if we will be getting that next week. |

They have magic humans don't and can eat stuffs elves can't. Although they might be closer to elves, Faldania clearly showed that their choice of food is an important part of being elves. I doubt half-elves can live with them with such fundamental difference. |

| That "Lion King" was so cute when he eats his katsudon, he just screams so loud. Hahaha. Katsudon is my favorite Japanese food, too, so I'm salivating yet again and I can relate to him. Hahaha. This show's gonna make me cry with all their delicious foods. And what's the thing between eggs and milk, and the elves? Can someone enlighten me? Loved this episode. <3 |

| Another two enjoyable stories for this episode, with the Lion King part being the better of the two. His reaction to eating the Katsudon was pretty amusing. =) The half-elf's story was a bit sad, but she's doing fine for herself. Her little box at the end was simply a small compact refrigerator, which was pretty cute. Looks like next week's episode will focus on more interactions with a decent amount of the guests we've seen in the show so far, so I'm looking forward to that. =D |
| The Lion King gaining a purpose after eating the Katsudon was lovely. Not so lovely was watching this at 3am where I'm from... I'm craving Katsudon soooo damn bad right now.... The half-elf's story, whilst good for helping with world building, didn't really explain why her and her master didn't meet up at the restaurant, given that the portal opens for everyone on that same day. I was sort of hoping for some nice interactions amongst the diners of the restaurant. Perhaps next episode eh? I still love the show. Just hoping to see all the diners from different walks of life join together somewhere down the line. |

| This show has the best female character designs in anime. Each girl they've introduced so far have been stunningly beautiful despite the absence of any fanservice or risque camera angles. The scene where half-elf girl enjoys her sweets was so subtly sexy despite it being simple closeups of her face as she munches on her food. Take notes, anime studios; you don't need to put your waifubaits in compromising positions or have them look/act like sluts to make them appealing. |
