Thank fucking christ that Ballroom and Altair are on Prime and not just Strike. I was so pissed a year ago when I could no longer watch any new anime on Amazon despite having a Prime account. I guess they've started to come around to the fact that not many will pay $16 a month for anime, hopefully they'll do a full transition to having them all be available at a far more reasonable price. |

I hope Amazon doesn't eventually try to monopolize the industry. Their damn double paywall is lame and they clearly don't get anime fans. If they keep it up, they'll just ruin the industry for fans. |

Amazon is pretty much going fire just like last season with their picks. Tbh I have no issues with them being part of licensors... if they didn't had a double paywall. I mean, I'm not the one to talk because I'm not paying shit (for economic circumstances) but this doesn't really help the industry, especially for those that do want to support the industry some way or another. And also, as far as I'm aware of its the fact that Amazon or Anime Strike are exclusives as well... so that doesn't help much because the rest is region locked if you live in another country that isn't available for it. I mean CR and others do it too much I think as far as I know they are quite expanding a bit more but this just sucks in a way. Again, I'm not the one to talk because I don't really add anything money wise but even then this kinda sucks for people, and maybe kinda sucks is an understatement, it just sucks a lot. |

Please support Amazon if you want more anime. CR has been funding shorts. Netflix Orginal anime series have been great. Its the reason we are getting a Devil Man. If you want less otaku pandering bullshit anime support Amazon and Netflix! |

Man, as much as I like Amazon helping the industry....I just don't like their double paywall and the fact that it's ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE US. Not even available in Canada....Smh, Amazon apparently sees us as a third-world nation (even though we're not). Edit: I just found out that Kakegurui was also grabbed by Netflix. Which means they have Fate and Kakegurui right now. Nooo, because I have to wait 3-6 months just to legally watch both anime. Yaayy, because both animes are guaranteed to get English Dubs. |

Amazon have already effectively monopolized two blocks of anime (Noitamina and Animeism), don't be shocked if they continue to throw stacks of cash around like this. moodie said: Please support Amazon if you want more anime. I'm sure more people would love to support Amazon with its Anime Strike endeavors, too bad the cost of entry is by far the most expensive in the industry (I can get CR and FUNi combined for less than a strike subscription). |

Great. Amazon also has exclusive rights to the Animeism block now. Not only do they have Noitamina, they also have Animeism. Damn shame. Flexing that Amazon money I guess. Reminder that you can watch new anime for free on Crunchyroll a week after. You can't do that on Amazon; instead, you have a double paywall. If they just remove that double paywall, they'll be seen in a better light. |

Ugh Amazon... I have an account with VRV already which gives me Funi & Crunchy. But now Amazon is snatching up the shows I want to watch -_- There's no way I'm paying $15 a month to have two services. |

Eww Anime Strike welp I guess this is the season of fansubs, but at least if I like the show I can buy them from Sentai next year. Only anime that is legally streaming that I can watch is Knight's and Magic on CR. And hopefully that soccer anime Anime Strike has terrible sub timing AND a double paywall on top of that. If they removed the pay wall and fixed the timing on the subs I would gladly give them money, but nope only into their second season of licensing shows and its still shit. Fansubs clearly win this season for me even if I do have to wait a bit longer. |

Hitorijime My Hero is the anime I'm most excited for this summer so I guess I'm signing up for Strike or whatever. It sucks that Strike isn't just included with Prime which I already pay for...especially considering I get 99% of my print manga from Amazon, and the volumes generally show up in shitty condition. |

This is gonna be the season of fansubs. I hate this shit.. Amazon Strike is only available in US. They have way more cash than other anime streaming services so they are picking animes exclusively for them. This is so fucking unfair to other anime fans around the globe. As a person that don't live in U.S I don't have another alternative unfortunately: Piracy. |

Might as well add netflix in it just to make people clear to not expect Kakegurui and Fate/Apocrypha on crunchy or anything else .-. (i know its not simulcast but eh) also you can add Princess Principal, Hitorijime my hero and Vatican Kiseki Chousakan on HIDIVE for streaming outside of the US. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-07-01/hidive-reveals-international-streaming-territories-debut-dates-for-princess-principal-hitorijime-my-hero-vatican-miracle-examiner-anime/.118270 |

Fansubbing is basically dead lol. Hardly any prominent groups left. And most have died ever since last season. Only notable ones, if you even wanna call it that, are DDY, Commie, Asenshi (They not doing anything this season). |

Thanks for the list. Have DAISUKI or ADN not yet made their announcements? By fansub, you all mean those "videostream-rippers"? AntwanMantilla said: I hope Amazon doesn't eventually try to monopolize the industry. They clearly don't get anime fans. That's funny because the prevalent attitude among the internet anime watchers crowd (especially those speaking english) was and still is to angrily ask for a single company/service to own every simulcasted (or not) show there is. When you read this typical begging, it's hard not to see a lust for monopoly. |

On the plus side, Amazon's streaming quality is phenomenal and is quite similar to Funi's amazing streaming quality. jc9622 said: Actually Amazon Prime Canada got all the Sentai shows and the noitamina show last season. Amazon is trying to monopolise the market. I will never support them, even if they get reasonable. If their history is anything to go buy, they'll stay in the red while spending loads of cash bankrupting all their competition. Then, when they're the only game in town, they'll jack up the prices, not care about being on time or the quality of their service and essentially tell those who don't like it to go screw themseves. Somewhere along the line, they'll have the balls to complain about piracy rising. Oh! And about almost every show being licensed each season, you can forget that; Amazon won't license what they think won't return enough profit and there'll be no one else left to pick up the slack. |
