I actually liked HOTD despite after I grown in terms of anime I do see the issues with the series. But it was rather a dumb fun show regardless for what it was.

Rest in Peace.

The final nail in the coffin for HOTD.
Feel bad for all the hate he got these last years.
RIP.

The absurd physics you're mentioning was the anime, while the manga really didn't have that much craziness.

Maybe HoTD didn't die with him. His brother is the one who drew for the manga. He could continue on with it since it was only Daisuke who was the major roadblock of the series. Souji Satou does the series Triage X.

Regarding on that, can you give me a bit of summary of the hate he got, like was it here or generally? since I saw you mentioning it previously so I don't really have much of a clue over there.

This means no more HOTD?

And here I am always hoping for it to continue for all these few years for a small chance for him to change his mind as long as he was alive...

well its just that most of the comments on its profile before his death were people really impatient saying that hes lazy af and all sorts of stuff since he never really gave some news about HOTD

He's the illustrator though. Illustrators are replaceable.
Writers are also sometimes get changed/replaced.
But the story won't be the same anymore if ever he continued it.

Ahhh I see then. I don't really pay attention to profiles that much unless I have to pretty much look through staff (which I've done a lot last year or around Fall 2015 a bit is when I started doing that) ... But that's bad tho. :/

This is my wishful thinking, but for him to be actually his brother I'm sure he got lots of info collaborating with him. Things like how it should end, what they wanted for each character to do, and so forth during the planning phases of this series. During the second hiatus, he did have rough drafts for chapter 31 and other future chapters. So in a way there wouldn't be drastic changes if other editors jumped in to help Souji.

People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.
