In addition, a special anime sequel titled Free!: Take Your Marks has also been announced for screening in Fall 2017. The story will take place during spring before the graduation and will consist of four stories. I swear if they wept like little girls, I'm rating it 1/10. |

| I am worried that it says it is a recap of certain parts of the series...Hetalia did that with their 'Paint It White' movie and I know animes like Sword art Online had special edition extras where it was just recaps of the series with some new little scenes here and there. In my opinion that is no movie... I hope they can do something awesome with it!! |

| OH MY GODDD. I never thought Free would make a return. I got over the post-S2 ending withdrawal symptoms like 2 years ago and NOW IT'S BACK. MY FEELS ARE A FUCKIN MESS you can say that i'm hyped. yeah, i'm sO FUCKING HYPED Altho ik this new season/OVA/whatever won't contain any 'new' material per se, but rather a 'last goodbye' to the series type of thing where we get to see what happens in between Haru & Mako's graduation and them going off to college/Haru and Rin becoming adults and competing against each other in the Olympics holy fuck??? |

| i am so hyped for this sequel. i have been praying for 85 years kyoani to give me more of my swimming boys!!! also, opinions will always be divided when it comes to series like these. obviously it is geared towards a specific audience so it's not for everyone/does not expect everyone to like it. but don't be a butt and rain on the people who actually like the series's parade. don't like it, move on. find another anime to watch. not that hard. |
| The only thing I really want to see is a conclusion to Sousuke's story. I mean, after Eternal Summer, we saw what happened to everyone else - Rin and Haru went to Australia, Mako went to uni, Ai's the new captain, and Momo, Rei and Nagisa still swim. But Sousuke got nothing. We only see him walk off screen and didn't even find out if he ever swam again or whether he went to uni or not. That just bothers me. I want to know what happened to him. ...Tbh, he's the only one that still needs a sequel story. The ONLY one. Just frickin tie the loose ends, KyoAni. |
