 An official website opened by TV Tokyo has announced an original series of horror anime shorts titled Sekai no Yami Zukan (Dark Picture Book of the World) on Friday. The anime is scheduled to air in April 2017.Sekai no Yami Zukan will follow an omnibus short format and depict stories that revolve around UFOs, cryptids, curses, ancient civilizations, supernatural powers, spiritual experiences, mysterious cases, different dimensions, and urban legends through picture-story style. The anime aims to reproduce the retro atmosphere of occult stories that were prevalent in magazines during the '60s and '70s.
