Pretty chill episode. One noticeable part was the dream (more like nightmare to me) that Tsubame had. I wonder if that could be some dark foreshadowing..

The monsters in this series are still pretty odd, reminds me of the type that comes from an old video game. Action wise, I guess it was okay but the storytelling still feels pretty meh.

A story about their past, well it's good to know how the team was formed but it seems Tsubame still hase some worries on her head.
The group is getting there tho.

Tbh, this episode kind of turned me off from the series. I thought it was okay during the first two episodes. What really got me, was a the flashback without warning. I had to rewind and watch some parts over to make sure they didn't just transfer to some other world, got the memories erased, or they got reset etc. I guess they mentioned it, but it was a pretty quick change. I think they should've made the cut out to the OP after Tierra-sensei said "brings back memories" instead of her saying that then a preview of a battle scene.

All in all, it was a bit confusing. Overall, the series just seems a bit bland...

Altair Torte were absolutely killing it at the start there.

Looks like all the practice and hard work is paying off.

I believe the orbli queen in Tsubame's dream might be her mother? After all she seem to not know much about her past.

The monsters are big, but when you hit them, they pop like a balloon.

"This is a story before the girls began to fight" - how could you get confused after the anime stating it's a flashback lmao

Hmm the team looks like its doing pretty well with the new tactics
A far cry from their first combat eh

Two hostiles taken down in one action
thats impressive for a new team
But their usage of tactics and their teamwork was what counts

Its also nice to see that their efforts have also been noticed by their commander
Hmm so we get to see the girls backstory before they become strikers eh cool

Lol Satoka and her secret phrases when exchanging info
lol Yuumi rescuing that cat like that and scaring Ryokou in the process
But man that was pretty close there
Good thing she had good reflexes lol

Hmm so did the rest of the team all have that vision then that led to them meeting Tsubame i wonder

Hmm so during the flashback the team members did not know each other
well apart from Mana and Io who seem to know each other
Hmm Yuumi's bento's look pretty delicious
lol so it was the food that allowed them to meet eh
lol Mana's description of Io though especially the last part

Hmm Yuumi actually has some good cooking skills eh
But you can make friends quite easily if you have common topics of discussion
or in this case common items that they want like food lol

Hmm the map that they found in the staff room though
pretty basic but it fulfills its purpose i guess
lol following the directions that seem to have been placed everywhere
just like a treasure hunt lol

Hmm Rina Hidaka is starting to use a deeper voice in her roles now eh
Well she had started to since Magical girls raising project i guess
But since she's acting alongside Yui Ogura who's got a lighter voice i guess Rina has to

Satoka though is pretty brave though
Lol and that was how they were led into the striker program eh
So im guessing that since they discovered that they could sense the fifth dimension the teacher decided to induct them into the program then eh

Hmm so the base under the school is in fact not in the real world but an alternate dimension instead eh
Its nice to see that the dimension has a name though so its called Eterno eh
But sill thats quite a lot to take in at once though lol

hmm so their friends are also part of Fifth force eh
hmm so Yuumi wants to be a hero eh
instead of a chef

Lol Yuumi being fired up because of that but its just like her i guess
But its nice to see that the rest of the team joined was because they wanted to be together like in a school club lol

hmm and thats how they met Tsubame eh
So as a team they also get access to a team house eh cool
lol Mana is pretty fast with her nicknames eh
but thats what makes her cute

So at this time Tsubame isn't yet a member of the school yet eh
But what's the purpose of the dream i wonder
Io has the big sister personality eh

So thats how they did their first transformation then eh
But a battle sim is a good way to train new recruits such as this team in operations
So that dream of hers is still bothering Tsubame
Good thing it was just a sim though

Hmm so Tsubame was found by the teacher commander then eh
and that she has recollections of her past at all
That would explain why the dreams scaring her that much i guess

Lol despite them being all scared its nice to see that the rest of the team is not scared of being heroes. After all even heroes start from nothing
Lol the team revealing the things that they forget just to cheer Tsubame up

Its nice that they managed to forge their friendship thanks to the formation of the team though.

It wasn't that long ago since they met and formed the team but looking at the team now you can see that not just their friendship but their skills in battle are also much improved.

Overall a good episode
It was nice to see the main characters backstories and see how they all met and how the team was formed. Using a treasure hunt sort of exercise to get them to discover the base was a great move from the teacher. Seeing the team's first battle even one that was just a battle simulation and compare that to their current victories over the Ob'bli you can really see that the team has improved a lot in a short span of time.

Tsubame's dream is probably connected to her origins i think.

Well in this anime series, comes the episode that puts the facts straight, making clear the situation. The narrative, has the usual sugary look and friendly, and the choices even come from the top, are accepted without problems, perhaps it is this part of the narrative that makes me turn up my nose a bit, but it is also understandable, given the age of the characters; however, the situations, the vision, but on the other is too simplistic for my way of seeing things are resolved without too many worries, on the one hand is not boring, I wish it were so easy. Drawings and animations, sufficient, you see the first drops, oh well! The CG is beautiful to see. I love the ending, it's so nice.

The Obli in the nightmare is probably going to be the first mini-boss (main boss will probably be a character from the intro yet to be shown).

I must say that I am a little bored. The game is basically a "Girls doing cute things and kicking ass as they level up" so I am not expecting much, but the anime pace is a bit slow. We're 23% into the show and we are still stuck with nameless generic looking monster for most part.

I'm liking this show quite a lot so far. The characters are pretty cutesy, but chill, so they don't feel like stereotypes (though they pretty much are). The dynamic between the main girls is pretty cute and engaging.

One thing that does annoy me about the show is their stats... in ep 2.... like... you do not make your long range fighters the ones with the most ability to tank unless they can tank.... The archer has the highest constitution... who is never gonna engage the enemy directly, and the tank... has shit for constitution.. it's not surprise they lost so badly in the first episode when your tank is such a glass canon...

Yeah, the RPG player in me just got annoyed at the ridiculously stupid stats system... but I decided to throw that complaint out the window, since most shows who have battle in them have shit stats that don't represent the charters or how they fight....

Aside from that I like this show. This is my cute girls show of the season, and it's looking pretty fun so far.

I do not remember that scene, do you remember roughly when it happened? At any rate, if the stats were as such, then they stayed faithful to the game.

Not really a spoiler but I'll just explain a little about the mechanics in the game.

Episode 2 when Tsubane is sitting in the control room and looking at the stats. But the stats are already on the Wikia page of the show, if that helps.

@kamuinoyume

I remember seeing the pentagram charts (unless you are referring to another) when Tsubame was sitting in the control room, but I couldn't make out the legend in those charts, though I don't think that they match up the in-game charts which is what the Wikia is based on (on the pentagram, Io is pretty maxes nearly every stats).

And, about the Wikia, I am not sure that the translation is right, though I am not exactly sure how to translate it either.

The section that was translated to "Constitution" is 生活 which usually means "life". But I don't think it refers to "life force/point" (HP), but rather how they live their life. On one end you have "ルーズ" which is loose, and the other end you have "マメ", which is can mean diligent. I think it makes more sense, as Io, being super athletic can't possibly have a low constitution, but she is kinda easy going. Whereas Yuumi is shown to have a strong sense of justice even though she is kinda goofy at time.

Oh lol, that video is adorable!

I have never really played any of the card games, but I think I'm starting to understand what you mean. It does sound interesting, and quite frankly, I like seeing the girls do cute things, so hopefully some of the personalized weapons will appear in the anime as well. :)

Yeah, from a gameplay perspective, it's not very involving to be honest. But it does meld elements of harem VN with cool animation (I hope that we'll see Tsubame's strongest memocard in the anime) and a fantastic VA cast. And, the interactions between the various characters, as well as the characters and the PC (Player character) is in itself quite entertaining.

One issue I have is that I find Altair Torte to be a bit bland. What you saw in the anime so far is a pretty accurate representation. Satoka is obsessed with food, Io is kinda good at everything, Tsubame is serious but slightly insecure, Yuumi is goofy, Mana is obsessed with Io.

i'm a bit confused on the story sequence of Episode 3.
Why is it Tsubame just knew the 4 girls like she seen them for the first time!?

This was a flashback episode (save the first few and last few minutes). Tsubame isn't a regular student at the school, unlike the other 4 who were already acquainted with each other before they became member of Fifth Force.

Very good and interesting flashback episode.

We got to see how the team was formed.

Poor Tsubame is having nightmares. Her past is still unclear because she has lost her memory.
