----------------------------------------
I found this episode rather heartwarming. Starting to like Nono in this show more too.

Comedy is still fun to watch especially Chiya and some of her imaginations. Character chemistry remains pretty fresh. I do find Chiya a bit childish at times with her lack of common sense but she's just too damn adorable to ignore!

Chiya being brazen ones again which was funny and she managed to make friends with the captain by getting on her weak spot.
Her coworkers where a bit jealous about that tho.
Kon also realised something about Chiya.
I also have my suspicions about her Chiya's mother.

Oh hey I saw it now! Comment Time!

It looks like Urara stayed the course for Episode 2 and I am so glad that it did so. I loved Episode 1 and I loved Episode 2 as well. This is already gearing up to be my AOTS, if not AOTY. (and the year just started too.)

I really love the interactions between the characters. The way that they embrace Chiya and her mannerisms is absolutely wonderful. I also love how they portrayed Sahu. It's easy for those with roles that are counter to the MC's goals to be cast as villains or at least an annoyance. But we got a nice scene where Sahu talks to Chiya and pleads her case, a good case. And she tries to help Chiya out. The episode also goes to show her good points (although telling a bit more than they should.) Which is good to see. Especially after the first episode.

I really liked the heartwarming stories that they all shared. Bits of pieces of their backgrounds were all learned. And it makes sense, they all want to help each other out. It was great to see Chiya and Kon get that heart to heart. It's interesting to see that they both want to be 1st level diviners although it seems for different reasons.

Also, the divination scene was great. Something serious was being hinted at there although I'm not sure what. Could be interesting foreshadowing. It was a nice mix of serious and then funny. Nono may feel bad about it but she made the right call with the water. It's more important to help out a friend than to get it right.

Overall a really good episode. I really like how there is a plot and a place that the show is going to while still focusing on the comedy and the cute antics of the girls. I have all the hope for this show and if it continues like it has it's going to end up one of my favorites.

(Also Chiya is absolutely adorable. >W< )

Chiya was living in the mountain so I'm not surprised she is lacking certain clothes.

I'm looking forward to see them try and obtain Rank 1. Should be a lot of fun ahead and also a lot hard challenges.

Nice episode.

I liked Saku's gaurds, both of them are in love with Saku and Chiya made the scene more funny.

A very nice and a very pleasant episode.

Pretty cool that we got some background info on all the girls especially their mothers, Chiya's story was really sweet. I loved that little still art with Chiya and Setsu, was really cute and kinda heartwarming to see. Nono's story was a bit on the sad side since her mom passed away but I'm glad she was taken care of by her sister and Saku.

The divination was really cool, It felt really mysterious especially with the voice calling out to Chiya, her mom could most probably be the legendary Urara. Funny how Chiya's hair caught fire and brought an end to the divination. xD

Final scene with Chiya and Kon was really beautiful and sweet, my favorite part of the episode. I wanna wrap myself with Chiya's hair too.
Chiya is so adorable <3 even when more when she's with Kon.

Hooray for earlier subs! This episode raised several new questions, mainly revolving around: How long does it take an urara to rank up? I think we all suspect the number 1 highest urara is Chiya's mom right? I certainly do. I was initially under the impression it took many years to reach the higher ranks, but if Chiya's mom IS #1 that can't be true. Otherwise Chiya would never get to meet her and we can't have that. Maybe Chiya's ability to hear gods, as was implied here, will enable her to rank faster? Maybe ranking is easier in general than I thought? If Chiya's mom IS #1 how does she not already know her daughter is in the city? Is she testing her? Gah! Too many questions in my cgdct sol show! XD

Also, poor Nono. :(

Welp, I'm now convinced her mom is the legendary diviner, or possibly a god. A lot of backstory for a couple of the characters with this episode as well as some feelsy moments too. Also got some unneeded information regarding a certain someone's clothing. Those two following the captain around are pretty annoying though.

This was a cute episode. Chiya wanting to become a first rank urara to find her mother is nice. The divination was cool. The voice calling out to Chiya was interesting. Her hair getting caught on fire was funny. The last scene was cute with Kon being wrapped in Chiya's hair.

..as much as i like CGDCT, i'm kinda turned off with this one.

It has some emotional moment, d'aww scene, kinda lewd fanservice, and even the MC has her concrete reason behind her doing, but..
EVERYONE'S VOICE IS SO FCKING HIGH-PITCHED GOD DAMN IT. I cringed so hard at the scene where MC's hair got burnt.

I also hate the teacher's little sister's voice. Yeah, her voice is the worst. No, not the voice acting, it's the pitch i hate.

But i'm still glad i watch this. I freaking love the ED.

Much better than the first episode that was kinda just meh, not entirely sold on this yet though however but again it's just CGDCT so really I don't have to be but hope it gets better now they are trying to be first rank Uraras. A goal is always nice.

ahhh what another great episode !!!! i'm really liking the direction that this show is going in !! i hope to see more scenes of the girls doing divination, the lantern scene was beautifully illustrated ~~

i can't help but feel that chiya's mom is the legendary first rank urara (i mean, they both have the same hair,, ,assuming that the character in the opening scene was the first rank urara...)

I'm 100% calling it now. Her mom is the legendary first-rank urara.
Not only does it make sense from a story progression perspective, but they are also hinting at it in other way. It makes sense that she would inherit some of her mother's ability to tell fortunes (hence why she could already hear the gods).

Nice episode but it was a little sad :(
100% that Chiya's mother is the legendary Urara of the first rank.
But let me guess... we will never know it because this season will end before we will know the truth :(

This show is just darling! I think it's a great and very underrated show, even if not breaking a lot of new ground it's still very entertaining and enjoyable to watch with a lovable cast of characters. So much feels with the girls thinking about their mothers especially Chiya who was willing to be banished to see her dear mother. Great episode great show so far, gonna be a great watch this season.

This show is just too cute. Chiya wants to find her mother but knows absolutely nothing about her. Lol when Kon said that Chiya probably wants to find her by sniffing or some and Chiya says that that's impossible. They played the belly joke differently here as Chiya has stopped doing that and Koume was doing it for her when she was apologizing. I think they'll give that joke a break for now. The doll was super creepy lol. There was that touching moment when Chiya said that she doesn't care if she gets expelled from the city because she only came here for her mother in the first place.

This show is looking to be better than last season's cute show. Chiya and Kon are just too kawaii. The comedy is pretty spot on too and there are some touching moments too.

Don't we all? Like that legitimately looks really comfortable.

The cute levels in this anime are unimaginable, Saku was cute with Chiya, Koume was cute with Chiya, Kon was cute with Chiya, Nono was cute with Chiya.
Mmmmm Chiya makes everything cute.

The plot is not surprising even in this episode, does not have anything innovative even the narrative structure, but it manages to be very moe and cute in the various shown stuazioni. The drawings and animations are great, ditto for backgrounds. The construction of interpersonal relations, already proceeding at full speed and the chemistry of the characters, it's nice. The soundtrack is nice to hear.

Men do exist in that world! According to captain Saku, at least. It's funny how the anime itself almost makes you believe that they don't. :P

I want to like it but I can only take so much of adult women making stupid "cutesy voices that sound nothing like a real person." At best 3 of the characters are passable 4-5 year olds, none of them sound like what they should.
