The episode had some comedy but it still detailed Dazai's role pretty well in general as his role and rivalry with Akutagawa. |

| Similar group from foreign country? They are quick in the mission of capturing them. Now to FukuJun's character. He's been a double spy to begin with (when they first met) as his mission at the government. lol @ their way to get what they want (?, First with the kid, then with FukuJun's character). Mamo's character punished OnoKen's character, who was in charge of the mission and failed, by attempting to kill but he was able to use the ability to block it. Main character got tricked by FukuJun's character while "saving" him. ED is nice. Clip next ep. like what they did with OP? |

| I really like the setting of these two episodes. Dazai is awesome as always. I really liked Odasaku, does this ending mean he is dead? I hope not. Also, no preview of the next ep, so I don't know what to expect. |

| Good episode. It was nice to see Odasaku helping out the children. Dazai's personality was much darker in his past eh? Rather it's much more overt and apparent when compared to the previous season where his goofy personality was much more dominant. The part where he punched Akutagawa was just intense. So Ango was a double agent all along. I really hope Odasaku doesn't die like this. :( |

| Oh shit did he get killed by a fucking pumpkin? Damn, that's rough. This backstory is a pretty damn good way of spicing up the series. In fact in some cases it reminds me a lot of 91 Days from last season, at least in terms of mafia crime dramas. |
I very much like the new OP and tone of the series but it seems like the OP recicles imagery from the actual episodes xD Osadaku seems to be a very interesting character, I like him. Dazai was creepy AF in this episode, very scary. Don't mess with him Aku-Aku-Akutaka..ga? His name is so messy for me to write, or say. |
| Yeah, I'm really hoping that Odasaku doesn't die that easily, especially when we've not seen him when not holding back, something that Dazai has so eagerly foreshadowed. |

| I like how much darker 2 season is.Really gives me some 91 Days vibes. Think bones did a really good job on this one.Really feels like a Mafia anime. Music is so soothing throughout the episode really gets you in the mood for some good Mafia anime. good job Bones again. Dazai smelling himself was a very funny scene. I like how close Odasaku and Dazai are. Dazai defending him in front of others saying how he's more terryfing than any member, how he can kill anyone before they draw their guns out. This was probably the best moment for me. The friendship is strong :D Nice to see Akutagawa in the past. That Dazai punch o_o. Love how he scolded him and Akutagawa not saying anything back "The next time you mess up i'll punch you twice and shoot you five times" just splendid Dazai :clap: :clap: I'm liking Odasuka more and more and his ability too. I don't think this is the end for him, but if it is, it's just more character development for Dazai. Hopefully in episode 4 we will be back on track with the main story. waiting for my girl Kyouka ^^ |
| Okay rewatched with subs . Basically odasaku after a long reading in ango's office deduced he's spying for the port mafia and has infiltrated mimic unlike what many at the port mafia think that he has been a spy for the mimic . However, the last scene gives a new twist to it . Judging by the last scene, they gave a hint to ango's true identity . Also about odasaku Also damn seeing dazai mention "Order of the clock tower" if any manga reader caught that lol |

| I love the new ED, one of my new favourites. I personally think half of this season will be about Port Mafia before starting off from where we left off with Atsushi leaving a cliff hanger for most likely a season 3 as there will be no way of fitting the whole arc in I believe. So far, season 2 is much better so far than season 1 and I am also getting the 91 days vibes this season which is nice. | I love the new opening SO MUCH. What is it with 2nd openings always being the best? The ending wasn't half bad either... btw who grabs a toy ball that jumps out of a bush next to an explosion? I knew the four-eyes would be a villain... |
| So we get some more stuff on Dazai. That guy is pretty damn ruthless. He was given command of the front lines in their fight against mimic to save Ango. And he set up traps to capture mimic people for interrogation. But things went wrong in the first trap and Akutagawa ended up killing the last man who had killed all his captured comrades. And Dazai punches Akutagawa in the face and then shoots at him. God damn this guy was ruthless and badass. And Ango is on a mission by the boss and is working as a double agent at the moment, at least based on his story and Oda's deductions. And mimic was suspecting Ango of being a double agent. But that ending was a bit confusing since Ango was presumably escorted away by mimic operatives and Oda was left behind. The mafia wouldn't do such a thing to Oda so it wasn't them. And Oda was probably part of mimic once upon a time and he doesn't remember now. Pretty interesting things going on here. The opening sequence was better than the first season's. I like this one. Based on the assumption that there won't be another opening sequence, this season looks like it'll be mainly focused on Dazai's past. But I think they will get back to the American fighting the detective agency. |
| So Ango is actually a spy working for mimic, and not a double agent? Season 2 is still going strong, the new focus on Dazai's past was a very good decision. Lets hope it keeps up this steam for the next 10 episodes. |

| Hopefully Odasaku doesn't die so easily, especially since we haven't seen what he's truly capable of yet. It would be a shame for Dazai to hype us up like that and then we end up never seeing it. |

| Woah, it was a really intense episode. Dazai in the Port Mafia is really different from the currentimes Dazai. He really doesn't has mercy (Akutagawa was lucky his ability protected him this time before the bullets reached him) in contrast to his goofy personality in the Armed Detective Agency. He still has some chibi comedy scenes, but he is much more dark, like in the style of the Port Mafia. I don't think Odasaku has died, since we haven't seen him serious like Port Mafia's boss implied, and I don't think he would die before showing his true skills. However, I think the trick of the ball was a bit... dumb. I mean, you are in an enemy basement and you see an strange object coming to you, and you touch it like nothing? Oh, well. Also, the dudes who accompained Ango in his escape didn't wear the robes of Mimic, but armors. Unless they are members with an special rank, I doubt they were members of Mimic or the Port Mafia. Maybe they are a new faction? God, waiting for the next episode will be painful :( Btw, those wondering id the anime will adapt Dazai's flashback during the whole cour, it has been confirmed since the first season this will also adapt the Guild arc. Even in the PV of the season we see Francis F. and his gang planning to attack the city. |

| Great episode. Loving the OP song & the visuals. ED song is decent as well. Really enjoying this flashback. Odasaku is a cool character. I really like him. Not wiling to kill anyone & takes the time to check on those orphans. DAMN Dazai is scary though. That punch to Akutagawa. Managed to find Ango, but he got away. Hopefully Odasaku is not dead. Hopefully we get back to the present soon. Want to see the other characters. |

| For those confused about some things: The guys at the end... It's stated on the novel from the very first moment, but it wasn't made clear that on the adaptation (they will make it clear next episode I guess). Just for those who are curious and hate waiting. And about Odasaku's condition... As for the timing and judging by the name of next episode, the adaptation will last 2 more episodes, because there's still a lot more. Now for trivia time: The ball at the end is a temari, a japanese toy made with fabric and embroidery. They are highly valuable as gifts, because giving one as a gift symbolizes deep friendship and loyalty. It's not shown 100% clear, but it's a brilliant blue temari... and temaris with that kind of colors are a symbolic wishing to the recipient to have a happy and brilliant life. So... yeah. |
| After Ango's "rescue" his identity as a double agent is confirmed. Not much besides that, but it was nice seeing Akutagawa appear (along with Dazai punching him). ED's okay. |

| Oh no, Odasaku...he's not gonna die is he?? Anyway, I'm not sure about everyone else, but I'm definitely liking the direction this season is going in so far. I'm wondering if we'll see any of the Agency characters? Judging by the opening, it seems like they're just gonna be focusing on the past, but maybe they'll split the cour half and half or something...or maybe it'll just take one more episode until they fast forward to the present?? Good episode nonetheless, it was definitely interesting seeing Dazai in the port mafia! |

| In my opinion, I thought the op song was great and though the visuals weren't amazing, it was still good and told a story. It definitely sets the mood for the rest of the episode with the story telling in the video and I love the song. Definitely my favorite of the fall season. Port Mafia Dazai is sinister as hell. He even made one of the most feared Port Mafia members today in Akutagawa look like a bitch. Odasaku definitely won me over in 2 episodes and is probably one of my favorite character in the series by far. From my understanding, which has been stated above already, this is only a 3 episode arc. Speaking for people who read the Dark Era light novel, it seems like they are already passed the halfway mark. 4/5- Love watching how Dazai was before he left the Mafia. Odasaku is a great character and I enjoyed this episode a lot. The OP is awesome and I can't wait to see it change once this small arc is over to have all the characters in it. The ED song is pretty good too. |
