DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I suspected him from the beginning but sincerely wish that I was wrong for Kaoru's sake, but I guess the title did say who the culprit is before anything plays out, but I didn't think of the accomplice. School is over. |
| Some of my suspicions from this arc proved to be correct, but they threw in some surprises as well. Like Max, I suspected Naoto more than Tsubota. This is the first arc with a red herring, too. The timer on the bowgun. I totally bought that as the trigger. I had been all over Naoto from the beginning right until the "culprit" flew over his head. And then I was confused. And then when the explanation for that part started to dawn on me, the rest made sense. Overall, pretty good arc even though I had an idea of the mastermind the whole time. They still gave a lot to think about, did a good job creating some doubt. |

| Give it more time and this arc could have been so much better. To be honest the culprit is so obvious because of the arc title, I never once doubted who is the one behind everything, however I couldn't find the evidence, other than the scars on his palm. The resolution was way too rushed. |

| Another obvious one. I didn't think that he was helped by the butler though. Poor Kaoruko. |

Something was left unexplained: Aki's motive, butler's motive is not quite convincing, why did they need crossbow timer at all, the thing about floor coating that messed up their Noh performance. Overall interesting concept but flawed execution in this arc. It could have been to make the performers perform slower so the butler could have the clearer shot. |
