In case you don't know, Funimation put S&W fully dubbed on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Ztnt5ej20
On a relayed note, did you watch Berserk dubbed or subbed? Berserk is another title best watched in English. Guts' actor nails the role with a sort of growly tenderness and his arguments with Casca are brilliant. As are the WTF outtakes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YzHTt2Pns4
I'll always remember the first/second encounter between Guts' and Griffth in the first movie, rather than the one-strike snowy farewell. The music that played was wonderful. But, yes: Griffith having sex with the princess as the tempo of the classical music matched his rhythm and he was thinking of Guts was beyond perfect. I also liked the the 'frames-missing' child rape memories flashback montages. They were done for time reasons rather than artistic, but the nightmare-like quality they had moved me more than the full versions seen in TV series. Less is more.
And, yeah: fully agree about the CG in the very first scene of the first movie. Looked like a PS2 game. But I was impressed by CG Zodd/his fur. The CG did get less bothersome as the movies went on. But I do wish they had just left it at 2D, though: the movies looked amazing in those non-CG talky bits. THE ART!
This looks how Berserk should've: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzJzKdU8j3k
Dunno if you've watched it dubbed, but just in case since Palencia is PERFECT as Howo (sounds older than the JP voice, with more noble class): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ejEjFBVRzs
Btw, what were your thoughts on those Berserk CG films? We talked about them in before they came out--also years ago, ofc. Not sure if you still use MAL/are more lazy than me but figured I'd ask. You still having that cool Berserk avatar and all.
Plus I just add whatever I find that are uploaded into the forums that look remotely interesting to my download list since I got a desktop as networked storage. If you want to give me new recommendations, I'd gladly take it. :D
I noticed everyone is 10/10ing Steins Gate. I've avoided 10/10ing it myself due to my aversion to watching anime as they air; me on-holding S2 of Kaiji and AnoHana with 9/10 scores proving how hopeless I am at watching anime weekly.
Tell me about it. Going on the little I've read, its plot screws with time in a similar manner to that other love of yours - Noein. (Personally, I'm more interested in the tsundere; me having a fetish for such fake females.)
Not too keen on Usagi Drop when I'm three volumes into the manga - the fourth volume having been pushed through my letter box the other day. The anime quits before it turns into a shitty shoujo romance manga, post-V4, and I don't feel like going through the same story twice as I'm far too lazy, these days.
Spoiler fun: The manga ends with Rin and Daikichi becoming a couple. No joke. I WANTED DAIKICHI TO GET WITH THE MILF!
I actually paid money for Casshern, after watching the first half online; assuming it'd end good...
What got me into Kurozuka, aside from the stylish fight sequences (which went lower in budget as the series progressed), was the whole twisted love between a man and an immortal seductress. Naturally, they got separated after the first two episodes and it went to shit. Joy.
I watched the first disc of Ryvius, ages ago, if I recall. I quite like survival stories but, if memory serves, the sci-fi jargon overload (I'm not too hot on sci-fi) gave me a headache and I couldn't connect with ANY of the characters. It had to have bored me for me to have stealth dropped it, so early on...
Cross Game has shitty pacing, as well. It starts out by getting the tragedy out of the way in only one kinda rushed episode but then spends much of its duration on worthless secondary characters, such as a love interest/cousin of Aoba and a genetic clonr/lookalike of the lead's deceased childhood crush. And, of course, the main pairing don't get together until the end... without the romance thatmade me care for Touch.
I only rate them both 7/10 'cause Cross Game lasted half as long and looked nice in HD. (Plus, it's opening is pretty sweet.)
...and, yeah: sorry for never getting back to you before. Typing about a 5/10 I couldn't remember much of anything spexcific about proved to be too great a challenge for a lazy sod like me.

Rewatching http://myanimelist.net/anime/202/Wolfs_Rain
Ye be warned: I started out by rating it 7/10. I saw some potential in its episodic tales of despair. But, by the end, it became so awful and dull I deeply regretted paying £18 x2 to own it.
Madhouse make few bad anime. You've started two of their bad anime, in the space of a few weeks.
/too lazy to Wiki Kurozuka, still
In roughly ten years, you might be able to start looking forward to seeing what I was complaining about. Until then, you get to re-watch the TV series with 3D animation. Yay?
PS: I'll respond to your other message later. Need to Wiki Kurozuka to remember the specifics. My memories of my 5/10's sin't so great.
PS2: Those Berserk vids I placed on your profile are subbed.
