What a good episode, the rivalries in the team are serious, but they are forgotten when they are in a pinch. And I can't get tired of these amazing visuals.

the animation of the gundam series never cease to amaze me. Great battles, it's rare to see the Zeon succeed in something lol

'cuse my French but what pricks! >< Team Monsha, or mostly Monsha.

Why is an idiot like Monsha even an officer? (2nd thought, there have been plenty of idiot Lts IRL huh?)

It's sad to see that sexy core fighter get wrecked ;( Crashing then getting shot down.

It gives the vibe of the good old White Base days~ Everybody's fighting over stupid things and the captain is mad :D

Exactly what I was thinking in this episode. Instead of emotionally unstable teens we have some stuck up veteran soldiers. I can't say I'm particularly fond of either.

Well, as was demonstrated in this episode, he is actually pretty capable.

"We'll follow you with diapers ready" has got to be the single greasest line spouted by a Gundam protagonist in the series' history, haha!

The captain's awesome too.

Definitely the best line! Although I don't know if Kou emotionally unstable teen or not yet, he is definitely a cynic. Even though he still gets picked a lot now, he seems more calm enough (but still do get frustrated).

Aww, the only Core Fighter of White Base Albion is a wreck now.

Yeah I decided to get on the forums mid episode to comment on how great that line was, but apparently I wasn't the first one.

That made me smile xD

Great episode. I was scared at first about them spending too much time roaming around Africa in the Albion like in 0079 but next episode we get space! yay!

Garrod had a couple good lines in Gundam X.

God Monsha is a bag of dicks. -__-

Great episode as usual!

Lol they showed Gihren Zabi's painting in that base.

Glad Kou was chosen as the pilot of Gundam Unit 1.

Monsha is a douche, but at least he does good when he actually concentrates in battle.

Gonna be amazing in the next episode. Can't wait for it!

Yeah I'm getting pretty tired of Monsha's antics at this point .

So the Zeon soldiers succeeded in getting the captured gundam into space. Looks like things are going to get pretty interesting from here on out

This gundam has a bit more vulgar content than is typical for this series. I like it.

The pacing is great too. It's not dragged out like the 50ep ones surrounding this timeframe. This was the typical "desert" arc. So nice that we're moving on already.

Still nice to see, thanks to this wonderful 80s OAVs touch, but each one feels emptier than the previous one. You can't make a slow paced White Base tour in 13eps if that's the intention.

Monsha proves himself competent but the burst of stupidity emanating from him is suffocative. Uraki surprised me with his repartee.

Same reminiscence for me.

edit: that Nina shout xD (she's still annoying)

Despite having read the episode synopsis, view it is nevertheless a very different experience, so those cold words take shape beautifully in a very compelling narrative and really well scripted, great episode! Drawings and OST, very good!

I just figured that Gato looks like Gihren but with longer hair.

"MILYTALY SECRET" oh my god that's the best Engrish I've ever seen in Gundam, even better than DANGAR in Zeta xD

When Kou got out of cover, what was that Gundam frontflip? Lmao. Nice physics.

Nina continues to be a damsel in distress, and Monsha continues to do dumb stuff. Not good. The first ~10 minutes were too wacky though technically such things happen in the army.

Though aesthetically the show is still awesome, that oldschool vibe is very enjoyable. I liked how that destroyed Zaku of Zeon's captain was lying with its hand up in the air in the end.

The whole desert setting made me remember WWII and imagine an operation against Nazis in Africa aimed at destroying their Wunderwaffe. That's what I sensed from the secret Zeon base (especially after seeing that portrait of Gihren).

I didn't like how Orville was discovered, too forced lol. The rest of the episode was fine, Zeon Soldiers are still acting like in the original series.

So far these past 4 episodes have been hype. I love the aesthetics of 90s Gundam.

Yes!

I love this OVA so far. Still kind of a newbie to Gundam, but man the UC really hit its sweet spot with some of these earlier OVA's. The animation is on point, the storytelling is great, and I enjoy the fact that it's happening on a smaller scale than the main UC storyline (MSG/Zeta/ZZ/CC, that is). To me, the characters tend to feel both more human and more relatable in the OVAs and this one is no exception.
