 It was announced via its official site that the final episode of Kekkai Sensen, to be broadcast on July 4, has been postponed until further notice. The production committee reasoned that the final episode would require more than the scheduled 30 minute time slot. A program related to Kekkai Sensen will air in its place.The twelfth and final episode was originally scheduled to air on June 27, but was moved to July 4 due to a delay in one of its episodes in early June. Kekkai Sensen was adapted to a TV anime for Spring 2015 by studio Bones, based on the manga by Yasuhiro Nightow. Its first Blu-ray and DVD volumes were released on June 17, and sold 12,171 and 4,784 copies, respectively, in the first week on Oricon's weekly rankings. | You know, i really hope that this is just caused by poor planning and not because some guys on production commitee trying to strong arm Matsumoto into doing their bidding considering Kekkai Sensen's crazy sales. |

Ufotable, who has been famous for having 1h long episodes (UBW, Fate/Zero) is actually involved in the making of Kekkai Sensen (it's just my assumption because I saw Ufotable in the shows credits). I'm not surprise that it's more than 30 min long, it sucks that the finale's delayed though. |

| Sucks about the delay, but I'm glad the final episode is going to be longer than a standard episode because, boy, is it going to need that extra time to wrap everything up. Also, I'm happy they're not doing a Gatchaman Crowds on this and airing an unfinished, rushed, final episode only to fix it with a directors cut in the BDs months down the line as that was about as unsatisfying as it gets. |
