| I just notice that the last scene in the OP has been lying to us. It had Aki as a cheerleader in the background, but we all know that's changed ;) Jack loses the duel cause 5Ds got played (basically). I hope Jack's ok. I'd not be surprised of Team unicorn rigged their D Wheels with issues. Also, I'm not happy with how Carly's just become a sideline cheerleader with Mikage and cafe girl after the Dark Signer Arc. I guess she did forget what happened during that span of time, but not only did her and Jack's potential development together go *poof*, her potential as an occasional duelist for the show went down the toilet as well. (No more fortune fairies :( ) |

| God Andore was basically a walking deus ex machina although to be fair Jack might've won if Team Unicorn hadn't manipulated Team 5D's into thinking that Andore used a power deck. Still I wish the order wasn't Jack > Aki > Yusei since that confirmed right away that Jack and Aki would lose and Yusei would be the final duelist on the team, and therefore the winner due to how predictable the plot is... |
| Unicorn vs 5Ds out of the gate? It kind of seems like the battle last episode was a bit pointless then. Well, Andre isn't making Jack look very good. It seems like he didn't end up learning very much from his encounter with his pseudo-self. He's still stubbornly trying to go at it alone. And, it looks like that's why he lost. Hopefully Akiza and Yusei can turn this around. |

This episode begins the trend of everyone but Yusei jobbing. Jack also forgot the lesson he learned in Episode 84. You know playing as a team and evolving his power strategy. Sure, he was expecting a power deck, but he wasn't adaptable in the slightest. This guy used to be second to Yusei in season 1 and accomplishes nothing here. |
