THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Episode felt kinda slow on the action but it was nice to give some of our girls a spotlight.

I feel like that Sakura Tree also stands out as a sort of symbolism this episode too. But overall, a decent direction. Not every episode needs to go full throttle on action. The character connections are important too even during this setting and time.

That cliffhanger though...

Young Kunoichi is cute.
Main characters of this episode are Ina and Kunoichi. Also, Hideyori appeared (and Kai as well, living Osaka castle). Kotaro returns and scares a sh*t out of Hidetada.

Hidetada is the most annoying character in the series
Noir… It is the name of an ancient fate. Two sisters who watch anime. The peace of the newly born, their black hands protect.

Nice ending, real resolve shown by both brothers.

Tokugawa too calculating, further proof Jouji was best choice.

Poor Nene, losing one of her "sons" :L If only it were the "dream" stage at sekigahara and she put them in line.

Gotta still love how devoted Kunoichi is.

Then you better hope this doesn't follow history, or the games for that matter :P

Hidetada became Shogun in 1605 (5 years after Sekigahara), eventually crushing the Toyotomi in 1615 (where this series is likely to end), and didn't die until 1632, 17 years after Yukimura's demise. The only major characters that historically outlived him were Date Masamune (1636), and Sanada Nobuyuki (1658 - outliving even Hidetada's successor).

Poor Nene.
So Yukimura was excumuted (right word?) that's an enemy to admire. Choosing that instead of killing him.

It's a shame Hidetada doesn't seem to have a single redeeming quality. I wonder if the games are different there.

Exiled. You might have been thinking of 'excommunate' which is a similar term but usually used in relation to the Catholic church.

Hidetada is not in the game series yet. Well, actually he was spotted as UNPC in the upcoming Sengoku Musou 4-II game, having his anime design, so he probably will be the same.

Oh my gosh Hidetada is so ANNOYING! He messes up and then is like "I HATE THAT YUKIMURA WHY DO I SUFFER AHHHHH!" Lol does he even know what taking responsibility for your mistakes is?

Wow I was surprised that Nobuyuki didn't beg for his brothers life until he revealed that it was all for the well being of the Sanada clan. It's nice that the brothers aren't complete enemies even though they're on opposite side of the battlefield. Uh oh but he's being kept alive for a sacrifice o.o

I'm a little surprised that we haven't seen seppuku yet.

...no way. Why do the idiots always live! C'mon this anime has made it pretty clear that he's not only stupid but WEAK. They have to give us fans justice!

I love the game series and having seen the anime adaptation so far I really like that they decided to make the Sanada brothers the main story line. If it wasnt for the fact that not eve nthe anime will reconsider having a different ending, I would be more hopeful for those involved... ;-;

The early Tokugawas actually were less-than-stellar rulers. They were more like modern autocrats in that they were utterly ruthless in dealing with even potential opponents, and instituted "reforms" that made it easier for them to maintain power, but which had the effect of forcing suffering on the people. Hidetada was indeed among the worst of the bunch, and his only real punishment for anything was the glaring eye of his father until Ieyasu died in 1616 - Ieyasu never forgave him for his failure at Sekigahara. There is a very, very slim chance they could have something happen at the Siege of Osaka, but that would not be in line with even the games.

As for the Shogunate itself, it wasn't until Ienobu (6th Tokugawa Shogun) appeared in the early 18th century that things really started changing for the better.

Is Kunoichi base on any real life historical figure or is she totally fictional?
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Fictional figure, representing Sanada Ten Braves (also fictional, but they are folklore characters)
