| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn good episode that ends a damn good OVA. The character development was pretty well done in this episode, that focused almost exclusively on Madoka and Kyosuke. I wouldn't have it any other way, to be honest. I give this OVA an 8/10. |

| It was disappointing to know that these eps have nothing to do with each other (though the TV series was like that as well) and it ended as if to hint that there were more OVAs to come. NOPE. IT WAS JUST A PRANK BRO. NO MORE OVAs. JUST ONE LAST MOVIE. Quite an unsatisfying end to the OVA. You'd think it would be quite pivotal to the story and do something with the red straw hat that remained untouched for LIFE. Kimagure Orange Road is definitely THE 80s anime. I'll SOOOOOOO miss that song they play just before the episode ends. I'll so miss this show. I already miss Takada Akemi's character design. Fuck 80s art is great. |

Let me phrase it differently. I still would prefer the TV series over the OVA, simply for having more variety and delivering a bigger package. But if I take into account the "great" episode to total episode count ratio. Then this means this OVA trumps percentagewise. I would rate every single episode here 4/5 or 5/5 enjoymentwise. Meanwhile the TV series varies in quality with some 3/5 episodes here and there. That's why I only kinda jokingly agreed with him. Autistic explanation, I know, but I hope it makes sense xD |

| Oh man, there goes another KOR for the list. This episode was very good. The fact that we got Madoka and Kyosuke having sweet moments in the middle of the night was just a plus, and it's even better considering that this one is canonically after the series finale. I can't be mad at these OVA's, they delivered some solid episodes and some good ones too, but the quality notoriously improved during the second half. If anything, it'll be another 7/10 for me since I don't think they made anything better than the original series but maintained the qualité of the content. Next to talk about is the movie. | I saved this OVA for last. Mainly as a failsafe if Movie 2 sucked, I'd get an "original" experience from the last OVA which I did end up getting even though I loved the last movie anyway. I thought this OVA would take place after Movie 1's ending but it's only after series ending apparently. This was probably the best OVA and I'm happy they saved the best for last. Great decision. This OVA also goes around to one of the earlier episodes where Ayukawa Madoka wishes to stay over at Kyosuke's house. I'm so happy I got to see that. This is the last KOR media for me. Even though I pretty much binged the series and didn't spend much time with it like I did with other shows I think I'll still remember Kimagure Orange Road for a long time. The anime isn't perfect, far from it and that's likely one reason why I'll still long for more KOR content in the future. I probably will pick up the manga eventually since I heard the pacing is better there and also there are many unadapted stories and characters. But for now, goodbye Kimagure Orange Road. I'm gonna miss you :'( RIP Hiromi Tsuru, the voice of Ayukawa Madoka and Bulma. </3 |
| The OVAs are definitely better in every way than the original in term of the content and direction. I have no real issue regarding the episodes in the OVA like its original does. At least the characters aren't that annoying here. I don't really believe that there is a person who is always kind or pure. Just like a coin we also have a duality to make a totally human character that has flaws. I really wish in the next movies, they will fleshed out Madoka characterization more than just a whimsical girl who is perfect in every ways for Kyosuke. |

| I watched this after the 2nd movie. I don't know why the watched order placed it last. It's logically after episode 48 but before movie 1. As stated in said movie, the love triangle persisted some time before movie 1. Or was it placed because Madoka finally realised that Kyosuke was right in that there are 100 steps. |
