BURST POINTS & DETAILS
Everybody starts with 100 burst points. They are considered not only the currency that burst linkers use to purchase EA from shops and use in order to accelerate, but are also required for their survival in this Darwinian world.
We will have a relatively simple system in winning and losing burst points.
At level 1 to 4, you will lose 20 burst points upon being defeated in battle (whether from the Unlimited Neutral Zone or from a regular duel).
At level 5-6, you will lose 40 burst points from the very same thing.
At level 7-9, you will lose 60 burst points from the very same things.
On the other hand - Defeating a duel avatar of your same level or less will net you 100 burst points. For every level your opponent is higher, you will gain an additional 100 points if you beat them (Level 1 beats Level 3: A 2 level difference = 200 Bonus Points + 100 Earned from Victory = 300 BP gained total). This is obviously to speed up the game-play. Remember that you only gain 100 BP if you beat an opponent who is at your level or is lower-leveled than you.
In addition, Enemies will grant burst points too. There are 6 classes of Enemies: Lesser, Normal, Large, Behemoth, Legend and God.
Lesser nets 80 BP from Victory, with no chance of dropping an EA.
Normal nets 100 BP from Victory, with a chance of dropping an EA.
Large nets 200 BP from Victory, with a chance of dropping an EA.
Behemoth nets 500 BP from Victory, with a decent chance of dropping an EA.
Legend (10x Stronger than Behemoth Class) nets 1000 BP from Victory, with a good chance of dropping an EA.
The details regarding victory against a God is not known at this point of time.

LEVELING UP
The amount of Burst Points consumed upon leveling up is dependent on your level. The guide is illustrated here to note how many burst points are CONSUMED if you decide to level up (Do not level up if you have just met the level requirements - It'll cost all your burst points and your BB will obviously uninstall. It's recommended to have a 100 or 200 points above the amount needed to level up).
Note: Level 1 to 4 is made to be intentionally easier. You get 100 FREE BP everyday for logging in and posting in the forums.
Level 1 -> 2: 200 BP
Level 2 -> 3: 300 BP
Level 3 -> 4: 400 BP
Level 4 -> 5: 800 BP
Level 5 -> 6: 1400 BP
Level 6 -> 7: 2000 BP
Level 7 -> 8: 3000 BP
Level 8 -> 9: 4000 BP
Don't expect to simply solo a Legendary class enemy and level up massively for that. It will not happen. Especially not at a low level. Enemy BP is also split amongst the players in a "party" who fought the enemy together, as another note.

LEVEL UP BONUS
Congratulations! By leveling up, you will be rewarded with the choice of one of four bonuses! Please note that statistics of a burst linker do not change and they do not get statistically more powerful over time - It's that their combat experience combined with their new abilities and EAs enable their further strength.
By leveling up, you have the option of:
1) Upgrading the EA or Ability you started with
2) Obtain a new EA or Ability
3) Upgrade a physical characteristic of your duel avatar (ie. your armor)
4) Non-specified
An admin will check your character and choose options regarding 3-4 for you when deciding on what to upgrade.
In addition, your character gets a new Killer Move at level 4 and 7.
In addition, characters will gain "10%" + (20%*PDE Stat in decimal form) HP every time they level. If somebody has Rank E (0 Points) in PDE, they will simply gain 10% HP upon level (Total HP = 110%). If they have 10 points in PDE, they will gain 10% + (20%*0.1) = 12% every time they level. If somebody has Rank S (25 points in PDE), they gain 10% + (20%*2.5) = 15%! per level. It is possible to increase it further than to Color Bonuses. Please note that this is another benefit to leveling, especially to avatars who have a greenish color.
General Guideline:
No PDE = 10% HP Gain Per Level
5 in PDE = 11% HP Gain Per Level
10 in PDE = 12% Hp Gain Per Level
15 in PDE = 13% Hp Gain Per Level
20 in PDE = 14% Hp Gain Per Level
25 in PDE = 15% Hp Gain Per Level
30 in PDE = 16% Hp Gain Per Level (Only possible with "+" at this point of time)
37.5 (MAXIMUM) in PDE = 17.5% Hp Gain Per Level (Only possible with "++" at this point of time)
In summary, by leveling up, you get more HP based on your PDE stat and a bonus from 4 choices available. You also get a new, additional killer move at level 4 and 7.
Please note that it takes 4 total upgrades for an EA to rank up from 'rare' to 'exquisite', and 7 total upgrades for an EA to rank up from 'exquisite' to 'legendary'.
PDE refers to your Physical Defense and Endurance stat. |
