| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It was awesome seeing the Circus members this episode. Screenshot from one of the performances:  I think all the voices fit so far including for Joker and Beast. I think the artwork is consistent as well. The OST was decent with a Victorian-like tune. OP song is alright I guess. Seeing Undertaker was refreshing again. They also animated that scene when Sebastian was examining Beast's feet. I thought that was kinda funny. |

Sebastian and his love for cats, I loved that tiger scene in the manga and seeing it animated brought a huge smile to my face, and the over action to Sebastian examining the leg. LOL. Undertaker!! Oh, my favorite , somewhat, evil Shinigami, how I miss you... And poor Ciel, Sebastian messing with cats got him to sneeze (allergic to cats), and talking about him.. I loved that.. Oh so cute. I agree with you Stark, the voices are well fitted to each of their characters and display such emotion, and the portrayal the characters have of their characters is spot on. (Especially since Yana helped with character portrayal. She was gushing over Maaya and Ono's voices on her other blog, and I don't blame her. They can't be matched. But thinking about the original cast, I dread the "thing that should not be mentioned" cause that thing is an insult, and just a mockery of this wonderful series and cast. Now I'm rambling, sorry.) The OP was good, and the ED was nice, I guess. I liked that Sebby planted a kiss on Ciel's head. OST was nice too, very fitting for the circus theme (and the Staff did say they went with a lot of folk music.). It was a nice episode, and the one that started to follow the manga, though I noticed one or two alterations, I think. It's been awhile since I did a re-read of the manga. |

| I love how Sebastian goes straight for the tiger, That episode was awesome and when Sebastian went into the tents with the circus actors and made fun of Beast that was hilarious. Both the opening and ending were pretty good as well. Wonder what Sebastian was onto with those special tents before he was stopped by Snake. I really need to start purchasing the manga of Kuroshitsuji. |

| Awesome episode :D Loved the circus show esp when Sebastian just went in adoring the tiger XDXD His love for cats is so hilarious hahaha He totally owned Beast XD And the way he touched her up all the way to her groin was so lol XD She was cute when embarrassed :3 And Seb showing off his skills and saying he's bored with his master so he wants to join was funny too XD Can't wait for nxt ep >.< Shinigami incoming :D |

| Woohoo!!! We're going to see the Circus!! Lol at Tanaka-san XD. Damn... those circus guys are kidnapping children from the places they visit... So it only took Ciel like a whole day to make Undertaker laugh huh? We get to see the circus members introduced and I personally find Doll the most interesting out of the bunch. Ohooo, Sebastian is going to make circus debut XD. LOL at the tiger biting Sebastian and his love for cats that stunned everyone. Huh... did those kids with weird voices call Sebastian a kid? I guess those were voice of elderly people and that's why they called him a boy lol. So most of the circus members wear prostheses huh... lol... Sebastian you lil perv you! Cool thing that Sebastian and Ciel will be joining the circus XD. |

| OP and ED are great, I'm sure all the sebaciel shippers enjoyed that ED... And they're staying true to the manga. I'm really liking this so far.I wonder how they're going to animate Can't wait for next week's episode... I remember watching the first kuroshitsuji when all of it was out, so I could watch 3 eps at a time... this wait is going to be terrible. also, is the trapeze girl(can't remember her name) voiced by the same person as Nonon in Kill la Kill? I think I could recognize that annoying voice anywhere. |

| Nice to see sneak's face ;) And Sebastian's love for cats is unstoppable as ever. Also the ending was great and decent animated. Sebastian's calm face was priceless when he was touching that girl while talking to the doctor about these prostheses. |

| This episode was great! I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one. I haven't read the manga, but maybe I'll try it out since this arc is so interesting. Lol. Sebby and the tiger xD I hope I'm not the only one who didn't see that coming. Like most people, I think Joker's voice (Mamoru Miyano) really did fit well ^^ One of my favorite seiyuu right there. Ah, the rest of the circus cast were splendid as well. SID, the performers of the lovely OP cx Fits the theme as well.  Really loving this arc so far. <3 |

| Aww, Sebas-chan's love for cats is wonderful! Finally we get to meet new characters and their voices, which in my opinion fit very well, especially Joker's seiyuu (and probably Snake, though I need to hear more than one line). Besides that, ED was okayish, nothing much addicting. Anyway great start for this arc, can't wait for more. |

| The ED looks amazing, like visually it's just gorgeous. And the song is pretty nice. I love all the voices for the circus troupe members, I hope Doll's voice will be good, too. They're really sticking to the material this time, and it's great, I'm enjoying it a lot. |

Please note that I haven't yet reached this arc in the manga, so I don't have as much knowledge about this as most people probably do. The first thing that struck me was that maybe it's just me, but this arc seems to be a lot darker in not only tone, but also colour, shadow, details, etc. I do like it better this way, because I feel as though Kuroshitsuji shouldn't have a very light colour palette, considering the dark theme undertones of this series. Additionally, did anyone talk about why Ciel's hair and eye colour are different in this one? I did read somewhere that it's canon and they're supposed to be like that. It's slightly disconcerting because it was so dark in the other two seasons, but I do think it makes him look older. Not as an old man, per se, but perhaps it could be signifying the bitterness he has, and the fact that he's experienced tragedies and loss far beyond someone of his years should have? As for other thought snippets, are Peter and Wendy, the trapeze twins, a reference to Peter Pan? Additionally, I thought the scene with Sebastian and the tiger was hilarious! I didn't know that Ciel was allergic to cats; if it was mentioned before in the other anime season, I guess I forgot...The ending animation is really nice and a good contrast to the darkness of the opening. I love the designs of all the circus performers, as well. A last token of appreciation for Mamoru Miyano ^^ His voice is adorable! |

| Travelling and starting with circus arc. Sabby caught people's attention, especially the circus members, so that he can "join". ED is nice. |

| Wow I didn't realize that I was going to like this as much as I did just now. I'm kind of enjoying Sebastian A LOT. Not that I disliked him before, but now i'm just like DAMN SON, GET IT! Also, the other characters seem interesting and while i'm not a fan of the circus in real life I enjoy circus tropes in visual media and stuff. Seems like the 10 episode count might actually be a blessing because it gives A-1 less chances to fuck up. |

| My first thought: Oh look it's Yogi. I like his voice, I think it fits a ring leader well :-). I was giggling like a school girl the entire tiger scene. It was perfect. This whole series makes me so happy. |

| I remember the whole double page spread in the manga of Sebby "examining" Beast. I hope that we get the *cough* later interaction with Beast too. I don't know why, but the way it was phrased/drawn in the manga made me imagine that Ciel had done something really really dirty with the Undertaker (there was dirt and random fluid throughout his funeral house...) and I was a littttttle disappointed that my yaoi imaginings were crushed. My love for Miyano Mamoru is very high, and he was amaaaaaazzing as Joker! (I kept imagining him saying "Ohayahho!!" to the circus audience muahahaha). Can't wait for Akira Ishida to get more lines as Snake too! I'm not sure what to think about the ED... I don't ship Sebby/Ciel, so I was growling a touch. Of course, Sebby/Ciel is 1000x more popular than any other ship, and it's what a lot of people like about the show, so I completely understand why there's so much of it... But I can't help hoping in the depths of my heart that Grell will appear soon and get his Sebas~chan :) |
| ...*deep breath* SNAKE!!!!!! My baby has arrived! Ciel's so cute when he's disgusted by the antics of people around him. The way they animated the circus scene was really cool, gave off the disturbing gothic vibe that I like so much. ^^ And as always, my love for Mamoru Miyano is eternal. He does a great job with Joker; I just have to replay everything he says to hear it again! I was so happy that they ended with Snake. I can't wait to see more of him! Though I wish they had ended it with him saying "Says Oscar." Or maybe they'll start next episode with that? Reaction to the ED: Ciel, you strippin'? Ciel, you are stripping, aren't you...? Ciel, you really are... Oh god, Ciel stop! Oh Jesus... 5/5 |
