| game adaptations sucks but this ones pretty good they always miss a lot of info so that you would want to play the game and this is the second adaptation its not the sequel though watch at your own risk |

| No, it's an extremely bad idea to start here, since this clearly is fanservice for people who already are into the Persona series. Play Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden if possible, or, if you don't have a PS2/PS3/PS Vita, watch the anime, though I don't think that it's the best way to get into Persona. I don't know if you're the kind of person who likes game walkthroughs, but if you do so then maybe you should check it out and see if you find the story appealing...? |

| Most of what's shown so far are events that more or less happened in the P4G game, with some stuff edited for timing and comedic purposes. If you watch this expecting a good intro to Persona 4, this isn't for you. It most likely won't make any sense how some character just show up without explanation. Watching Persona 4 first might make it better, but I feel that those who have not played the game may have a slightly difficult time putting the events covered into the original story's timeline. As many have already stated, treat this as a "bonus" for those who have played the game and want their favorite scenes animated. |
| No, you should play the game, preferably the Golden re-release which has a lot of good added content. If you can't get the game somehow, then watch the other anime. This anime mainly follows the added content in Persona 4: Golden that isn't in the original Persona 4, so like others have said it's fanservice |

Thanks You'll still should watch the first P4 Animation before watching The Golden, otherwise you'll have a much harder time following who the characters are and you won't be able to appreciate the little nods and jokes here and there that only makes sense if you've seen the first P4 anime or played either game. The first one has plenty of comedy and action as well. |
