G no Recougista being a movie is disappointing but I'll still watch it, my god what do I have to sacrifice or do to get a decent full length Gundam TV series that isn't for kids. |

I actually hoped for Crossbone during the reveal but since G no Reconguista is based in the Reguild Century, the era after Universal Century, it got me a little curious. Space elevators though, reminds me of some other series. |

If anything 2014 is a big year for the genre and it's obviously going to be around going forward. It's one of those staple genres that's never going to go away same as any other. That whole idea reminds me of the whole JRPG's are dying thing with video games thing that's totally not true. Stark700 said: I'll definitely be watching both. Yeah...can we get a multi cour mature Gundam series soon? Please? Is a human sacrifice (Hoppy?) to the Gundam gods the only way to make it happen?! I wasn't particularly impressed by the character design, and I may have gotten the wrong impression but it didn't seem like it would be very serious...lots of bright colors. And if you think Mecha is dead, just take a look at the shows for Spring...so much Mecha. I'm not sure all of it will be good, but who knows? M3, Sidonia no Kishi, and Captain Earth seem like they could be very good. |

God damn it, neither of these are a tv series? I knew Origins was probably going to be a movie but G no Recoguista sounds like a much better tv series. I guess I should just give up on the idea of a gundam tv series interesting me. I'll definitely watch both movies, I was just hoping for a series. |

I'm so exicited for Reconguista because of the gundam+Yoshida character designs combo. I'm hyped to see Char's backstory in Origin aswell. |

G no Reconguista is a movie? I was expecting a series. Origin is going to be good. I am actually relieved that they are showing Char and Sayla's back stories rather than re-booting the series. I just want to see those type of comment again to laugh at those brats. Was already disappointed enough to find out The Origin got turned into another 5 year long movie series to not care about till it finished like Unicorn instead of an awesome 50 ep series the other day. Shame to find out that even the less hype, E7 Ao style animation G-Reko is also a movie too and not a full fledged series starting again Christ we really need a new gundam tv series to bring it back, haven't truly had one since 00, Age and Build Fighters were aimed way more at kids (which is surprising considering the popularity of Seed, 00, and Unicorn in comparison with sales). |

I have only seen some episodes of Gundam (I don't even remember what Gundam series it is) when I was a kid and I thought it was cool. I'll probably watch all of the Gundam Anime someday, so I guess this is good news. Edit: This is my 1300th post. Damn, I almost missed it wew!! |

I really can't believe that Tomino's "G RECO" which has been in development and been hinted at for several years now is only going to be a movie. I really can't see it being only that, maybe a prequel movie of some sort, but not a standalone movie. That would be incredibly disappointing if that's true. |

I'm ok with Origin being a movie since it's only a retelling of the original which I think was perfectly fine as it is. Would've been nice if the other was a full 50ish episode series though. Also, is that a loli Sayla in the preview? Lolicon bait? lol |

This is the only place that seems to assume that G-Reco is a movie only. Do we have any actual source confirmation on this or is it just something that the OP says cause it's entirely possibly they may have made an assumption as well considering The Origin is known to be a series of movies. |

The one antagonist looking character in Captain Earth looks way more like Truth than this guy IMO. I think that project is going to be a disaster of a show for several reasons most of which pertain to the staff, but I still plan on giving it at least a look same as this. I don't see any characters in this being anything like the ones in Eureka Seven AO though considering it's not written by Shou Aikawa that I'm aware of. He's the one that made that show the way it is after all. |

I don't think I'll ever get over the disappointment that Origin, which I was eagerly awaiting since the anime announcement 2+ years ago, has been degraded to a 4 episode OVA (which will likely come out 1 episode per year). This has been the worst Gundam news for me ever I believe, trumping even when I first saw AGE's character design and the announcement of Gundam Toy Fighters. |

Need confirmation on that. During the press conference all they said was Origin is to be a 4 part OVA starting with Char and Sayla's backstory. They never said it was 4 parts of Casval's arc. In fact "Gundam the Origin I: Aoi Hitomi no Casval" really makes it seem there's only gonna be 4 in total, why would it be called "Origin I: Casval" if there were to be 4 of them of Casval? |
