One of the best anime I have ever seen in my life.....The story telling the real-life issues of Arata is very heart-touching.
The OVAs are also must-watch.
I guess you can say Hishiro is No. 001 in Kaizaki's heart too.
Was half-expecting Kaizaki to risk revealing the ReLife project to Hishiro but by some loophole have them both remember each other, but this was a sweet conclusion regardless.
I'm currently on chapter 133 and been reading this great manga since Jan 19, 2015.
I hope the voices, the performance, the direction, the style, the ambiance is what I'd expect from the manga, like the manga, or even exceed my expectations.

[Episode 1:] Reaction
7/10 I guess. As a manga fan (since Jan 19, 2015) who's up to date.
On-Time-Watch-Reaction | The art IMO is kind of lazy compared to the manga where it's constant and not bland in the distance, it doesn't look as HQ as the manga.
Arata's voice I imagined would be close to this kind of handsome voice but a little less high and a little more rough or slightly mature in a assertive way.
... Surprisingly they skipped the whole conversation of the pill and Arata not being sure of wanting it. It killed off the surprise of the story and it's beginning already. Because they used it as flashbacks to explain it but ... too fast paced for me. Killed the whole opening of the story IMO.
The Opening is lame. Doesn't feel like ReLIFE.
... The art is too light for ReLIFE's HQ mature art IMO. So much that their design is off in accuracy of their looks.
Yoake's voice is kind of what I expected. But less ... normal, and more high spirited in voice than I imagined. Yoake's serious tone is great which I didn't expect because that isn't the voice or tone I imagined. I saw it more scary in the manga.
Although Arata's more serious/honest or pissed side is pretty much what I imagined. The comedy in the anime is too goofy to how the manga felt like. ... The teacher is close to what I imagined. Hishiro's voice I imagined a softer higher voice. The scenes are cut off and fast paced without any focus or intense feeling of Arata's inside thoughts which is disappointing. Kariu's voice sounds about right. Oga not the voice I imagined. I expected more of a spirited kind voice and not this goofy one. Damn Ona is completely not what I imagined. A total dumb voice. I imagined a mature young lady voice.
On second though of hearing more: voice-wise Arata has his moments that feel right as I said. Kariu to some extent. Oga now does as well. An had hers as well on her second line.
The dramatic moments of his past trauma is pretty well done. ... The ED is too light as well.
... Conclusion to my Opinion as a manga fan.
Way too fast paced. A lot of in depth moments of Arata's inside thoughts or insecurity/flashbacks were lost. A lot of the voices weren't what I imagined but some close to some extent. The mood of comedy isn't what I felt ReLIFE has in the manga. Although it does have a few moments. The art is really disappointing but whatever. The Opening and Ending song doesn't feel like ReLIFE to me either.
Some characters (An especially & Yoake a little felt off at first) but anyway, I'll see the rest.
Basically. It was disappointing but I enjoyed it.
[Episode 2:]
Similar feeling/opinion to the pace and losing the in depth moments of the manga. An's goofy clueless voice still surprised me. Not what I imagined at all from her.
The Arata/An vs Oga scenes are spot-on!
I'm still disappointed by Hishiro's (not higher/softer voice) but their interactions is still cute. The comedy direction isn't always the type I imagined or would of preferred. The music is alright. I imagined something else. Arata and Hishiro's chemistry is kind of what I imagined.
... It's very interesting to revise ReLIFE by watching it's anime adaption and notice the hints of the future in it.
I'm glad the interactions of Arata x Hishiro are strong like the manga. ... Way better episode. Although it hasn't lived up to my expectations of the manga unfortunately, I feel it'll still be enjoyable.
[Episode 3:]
Just like in the first episode they still show tiny moments of Arata's inside thoughts or POV but nowhere close to the amount of the manga. It's cut off a lot. The interactions of the characters is pretty well done. Nicely accurate for the most part.
Asaji and Aki I expected different voices. Asaji a little less pussy voice and Aki a less low voice. I imagined his to be ... squeely for some reason. Hanako's voice's tone is right but her voice I imagined a slightly different style. Maybe slightly less high. Good episode.
The pacing is a lot better and the scenes and interactions are very well done.
[Episode 4:] Kariu/Hishiro arc 1
They made the 'Kariu/Hishiro' arc really fast. Skipping some interactions and Arata's many inside thoughts or worries at home. It's very well done to make it fast but, it doesn't let you get in the character and their feelings like in the manga. This arc was greatly adapted!
[Episode 5:] Kariu/Hishiro arc 2
The small flashback of Arata's coworker was nicely done. Damn, great adaption of this arc of the manga.
[Episode 6:] Onoya's Origin
Very good adaption again.
[Episode 7:]
They just added most of Yoake's flashbacks together of regret in Subject 1's failed ReLIFE (while in actuality they're spaced out in various chapters).
[Episode 8-10:] Honoka's arc
Pretty damn accurate to the manga.
The scene where Arata talks about his coworker and then hugging Hishiro animated was intense! Beautifully made. They skipped a lot of dialogue and some interactions but.
[Episode 11:] Arata's Trauma
Saiki Michiru's story. Arata's senpai and trainer in his sales job. Great adaption but it sucks how they didn't even properly show that she was noosed. Oh well.
[Episode 12-13:] Ohga x Kariu
Some dialogue, pacing, was done a little differently. Heck, they changed the setting of the man and Kariu.
What's worse is they changed the setting of Oga's confession sitting in a bench with Kariu and all the things that happened before that with the rest. With Arata and Hishiro's moments and them eavesdropping their confession. Most of the dialogue was accurate but the setting and some actions were done differently. They changed the setting of Arata and Hishiro's conversation as well.

Thankfully they properly ended the anime accurately so they could make a second season accurately as well. Although I'd feel comfortable if they did after the manga ends, as it's almost ending and because the anime covered up to chapter chapter 108/133 in 13 episodes. It felt well for a fast paced anime. Not so rushed because the story plot arcs are pretty large with little to almost nothing other than the story plots. The changes were mainly cutting off dialogue, interaction with the characters, and the inner thoughts or alone moments of some characters/Arata.
The biggest changes were taking the spaced flash backs in the story of Yoake's regret of Subject 1 (Hishiro's first ReLIFE) all in one episode. Oga's confession was changed to be near a crowd and not alone in a bench with Kariu. Obviously some actions and dialogue was cut off but they kept a lot of it. Arata wasn't crouched with Hishiro but sitting in a bench instead. The man with Kariu was seen inside first and their hiding spot was different. ... Those were the biggest changes that wasn't accurate to the manga.
Other than that, the dialogue is accurate for the most part. The music was alright, I didn't always like it. Some scenes could of been way more powerful. Including the sound effects. The comedy was good enough. It could of been better with a stronger direction/producing as well. The art could of been more HQ like the manga. The characters even though each cut off of their full screen time was still enough to show who they truly are.
The Opening of Episode One was disappointing and very poor in presentation but after that the anime itself was pretty well made. Although it would of been much greater if it wasn't rushed it is still great as an anime.
As a manga fan, I am glad. But, kind of disappointed. And I still feel it's not as amazing as it could of been because of the fast pace, music, directing/producing and comedy, other than that most of it is still pretty great.
... Because the manga, because of its amount of dialogue, interaction of the characters and scenes of the character's insecurities. You're that much more invested. Even if the anime did a good job of that, although jumbled up in a fast pace.
Honestly, I didn’t expect that I liked this series at all, but I was quite pleasantly surprised, I learned a few things from this series and chizuru reminds me of myself so bad when I was in elementary school But I was a little disappointed with the end of the series, it wasn’t satisfying enough 9/10 only because of chizuru
Very nice easter egg from the author's other manga (that's also set in the same universe). Though could you really call it an easter egg if those characters being there is actually part of the story as well?
This anime was really great, it was so awesome. It made me feel alive after such a long time, it was like my heart went numb, I was ser\arching for a high school anime or kinda stuff. And I found it. Now I also want to live "ReLife"
I am also an adult and nothing actually happened in my high school life.
I also wanted to live a youth like this with having actual friends around you and a girl. and all the other stuff that youngsters do. AHHHHH Enough now just have a watch and you'll know!!!!
