| Didn't expect them to make it to Fishman island so fast tbh Also oml Sanji has been hilarious since the time-skip. Pretty sure he's gonna need like ten blood transfusions after meeting the mermaids lol So we never found out who exactly was on the Flying Dutchman...but I guess we will eventually. Also seems Luffy really did tame the Kraken haha |

| I once appreciated how Impel Down allowed for such diverse terrains that the Straw Hats traversed. I had said, well they already went through snow, desert, jungle, what other difficult terrain would not be going over the same territory again. So to give us a brief struggle through the different layers of Impel Down was great. The terrain of traversing the entire ocean to reach the bottom of it, that was not one I had anticipated. This journey to the bottom was so great! What a beautiful and exciting journey. I didn't really phrase it this way but we have now seen Luffy use all three types of haki, armament, conquerors, and observational in powerful ways. Recall Rayleigh said that most people focus on learning observational or armament, whereas conquerors is not a traditionally teachable haki. Yet Luffy has gotten great at using all three which must make him one of the rare few that can. Sentomaru used armament, Eneru used observational, we saw Shanks use conquerors. But Luffy uses all three! Then we also had Usopp show off more of his skills this episode. As everyone panicked and fell trying to avoid the avalanche, he was ready and confident with his goggles on, heroic music playing, and shooting up new type of shot, a seaplant net to hold it off. That was great, and although everyone praised him, having a shot of only Zoro where he smirked tells me he respects how much work Usopp has put in. Them being my favorite Straw Hat duo makes me really love small moments like that. I had mentioned how funny it was that Brook was afraid of a ghost ship when everyone was afraid of his ghost ship in Thriller Bark and Usopp brought that up exactly this episode. Interestingly, it seems Vanderdeck is a fishman, he had gilled hands, which means they aren't ghosts rather they are probably conmen who scare people in the sea with the title of the Flying Dutchman. Which if true makes it interesting that we have seen two fake ghost ships thus far, it makes me interested in if we will see a third one in the distant future which happens to be real. Or just when real ghosts will come into this. I adore how Robin has been drawing cute depictions of the new sights they see! Then I had wanted them to share the same bubble but I didn't think it would honestly happen so I'm happy the trio shared the same bubble and tamed the Kraken, not even noticing the ghost ship as they fled from the volcanic eruption. It was a hilarious set piece. Sanji bleeding and hardly being aware of the situation and Luffy's excitement were the highlights, but befriending and taming Sureme is another. The fall down to the bottom of the ocean was beautiful!!! The lights, the giant whales, the coral, the bubble of life that is Fishman island. It's so incredible!!! It has to be one of the prettiest locations the Straw Hats have visited 100%. A little moment I much appreciated was Robin stopping Zoro from leaving the ship and imploding due to the sea pressure. With Luffy about to endorse Zoro killing himself it's a reminder of how important the more level headed people on the crew are!!! Thank gosh for Robin and Nami especially. |
| They really did end up taming Surume and found their way to Fishman Island despite the odds being stacked against them, damn! Those weird Sea Kings ganging up on them just when they've reached the finish line is a tad cruel. |

| Good episodes so far! My only gripe is that I just wish they stop overdoing Sanji's nosebleed and Brook's "oh, I don't have eyes," or whatever gags. It's funny the first few times but when it's overdone, it's just bland at this point. |

| I’m enjoying this new arc but I feel the recent episodes are a bit fast paced for my liking.. seems like back to back dialogue or action with hardly any breathing room. Maybe I’m just tired and struggling reading the subs lol. Still it’s nice to have our crew back together again and having plenty of funny moments. “Is that me??” - Brook |

| Lot of funny moments this arc. All the straw hats are in peak comedic form. But of all of them Sanji is absolutely out of control. He not going to make it through Fishman island if the mermaids look like Camey. But to be fair to him it be hard living with those guys for so long and suddenly having to deal with Nami and Robin in those outfits |
